I challenge you to order the Mutar Paneer and not feel that's it's the best thing you've ever…read moretasted! The Butter Chicken is also amazing. I've eaten Indian food hundreds of times and Flavors of India is by far the best!

Indian cuisine is my favorite so I was happy to try out Flavors of India, located in South Bend,…read moreIndiana, for dinner in March 2026. Flavors of India opened last summer of 2025, about a month before BBs, another South Bend Indian restaurant, opened. Now SB has at least 3 Indian restaurants! Lol! There were about 5 other couples in addition to my bf and I at 6pm on a Saturday night and by the time we left, most of the seats were filled with patrons. The staff was pretty good, although we were only checked on once after we got our food. We were not that hungry but we were in the mood to try this new Indian restaurant. The menu is huge as this place offers regional foods from all over India, instead of just north or south. The menu could have used a copy editor though. Some items, especially those that have fish, were crossed out. Made it a bit hard to read. We shared a thick mango lassi ($4) that had little flecks of Indian spices like cardamom and saffron mixed in. For dinner, we split an order of tandoori chicken ($18) and an order of haka noodles with vegetables mixed in ($11). The noodles were very salty from the soy sauce and the portion of noodles was enough for 4 people, way too much, even for us large eaters. The chicken was just the right portion for 2 people to share. I love how lemony it was from the lemon juice as well! I'll definitely 10000% order the tandoori chicken again. By the end, we ate too much and we were extremely full by the end. But honestly eating too much is just the story of my life! Since I'll be moving to SB in a few months, I am sure we will be back here many more times in the future.

My family and I placed a carryout order. We had chana masala, chicken tikka masala, lamb vindaloo,…read morebutter chicken, garlic naan, a mango lassi and coconut lassi. The taste of everything was excellent. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the chicken and the naan. The chicken was cubed and layered when broken apart with a fork. It just seemed unnatural and off to me, I couldn't eat the chicken due to the texture and look, but the sauce was good. I put that on top of some rice and enjoyed it. The naan was solid and not light and fluffy like I am used to. I think different regions of India probably have different styles and maybe I am not just not used to the style. Overall, I would say Cafe Butter Chicken is worth a try!

I hate writing this. The first few times we ate here were wonderful. The food was great and the…read moreservice was even better. But the last time we went the experience was simply inexcusable. They had chicken drumsticks on the buffet and my wife got one of them. She ate a bite or two and quickly realized that it was very undercooked to the point of still being nearly raw in the middle. I checked and verified it. When I pointed out to the manager and offered her a ten percent discount off her buffet. When I went up to pay he only gave a five percent discount instead of ten. Sorry, but semi-raw chicken on the buffet could potentially give such severe food poisoning that the customer could be hospitalized, so a tiny discount does not make up for the problem. Fortunately she only got mildly sick because Walmart was close enough to get some activated charcoal capsules she could take right away and absorb most of the toxins.
