Their Lamb or Chicken Dansak is very tasty and filling, made, I believe with free range chicken. It is completely dairy-free as is their vegetable curry, although the Dansak is quite spicy even on the milder setting- recommended with Soya yoghurt if you have some in the fridge! The service is quick, although sometimes we've had an item missed off our order but they've re-delivered it with apologies. All in all an excellent delivery service, and they are more than helpful when it comes to asking them about ingredients and suggesting alternative dishes. The food was fantastic, a lot of Indian restaurants can make very bland, predictable food. Not the Spice Guru however. The different flavours and spices in each dish were very noticeable and you can tell the chefs there put their own twist on dishes giving each dish originality. Not too pricey and a great evening, the only slight problem was that there was not much wine left, but it was New Year's Day when I dined there. While you can sample some out of the ordinary regional dishes, classic favorites are also available and prepared superbly well. There were also jugs of coke and lemonade which they would walk around and pour for us. All this was free, but we had to pay for alcohol. A few tried to set individual tabs for themselves However, there were roughly 20 of us and 8 individuals wanting individual tabs. That would have been a headache for the staff, so we all ended up paying for each drink of our own as we ordered it (Seemed fair to me).
