So I adopted a cat 5 years ago. She was sweet in the shelter but once we got home I found she…read morewanted very little of me around. She was one of those cats that only allows you 3 pets before taking a swipe and never, ever comes to lay on your lap or rub your leg. Frankly I was feeling a little betrayed.... Fast forward to 6 months ago, my Husband and I adopted a 6 month old kitten. We took the appropriate precautions with introducing him and all was well for awhile. Suddenly, she started eliminating in non litter box areas. We took her in to be seen by Dr. Morse. He identified she had a bladder infection. I saw how much care he took with her and decided to explain to Dr. Morse that she had always had a difficult personality and I just wasn't sure what else I could do to make her feel safe while keeping our other cat. He suggested that she may have been spayed in a bad part of her hormone cycle and prescribed a very small hormonal pill to be taken for 3 weeks. She had her good days and bad days and after three weeks I just held my breath expecting her to turn mean again but no, it has now been three months and Dr. Morse has given me a new cat. Occasionally she'll get cranky still but the VAST majority of the time she is even tempered and *gasp* affectionate!! I'm so grateful for Dr. Morse and all the help he gave us, he has helped us immensely!

Caring! They make you feel like they care about your precious pet! Great follow up.read more

Dr. Somma was extremely honest and fair with me as I navigated the final years of my dogs life. I…read morehad been to other local vets that would price gouge, up charge, and push some kind of product on you not based on what your pet needs, but what they want you to spend. He never pushed anything, and simply allowed me to make informed decisions on what was best for me and my pet. I highly recommend this place to anyone who asks

I truly wanted to give Brookview Animal Hospital five stars. When my 16-year-old cat, Tinkerbell,…read morepassed away unexpectedly, they were the only clinic open and available to help. For that, I will always be grateful; it meant I didn't have to endure the heartbreak of keeping her with me over the weekend, reliving the pain again and again. However, the compassion I expected in such a devastating moment was missing. When I brought Tinkerbell in to be cremated, I was visibly distraught: crying, heartbroken, completely undone. The veterinarian was there but said nothing. No acknowledgment. No simple, human expression of sympathy. Not even a quiet "I'm sorry for your loss." I tried to give the benefit of the doubt, maybe he didn't know what to say or felt awkward. But when I returned to pick up her ashes and saw him again, the silence repeated itself. Still nothing. I understand that I wasn't a regular client. He didn't know me. He didn't know my cat. But as a veterinarian, I had hoped he would understand what the loss of a pet feels like and that, in those moments, a small gesture of kindness goes a long way. I wasn't expecting a dramatic display, just a bit of humanity. Brookview may be a good vet for those with ongoing relationships, but my experience left me feeling more alone at a time when I needed empathy the most. And that's why, as much as I wish I could say otherwise, I can't recommend them based on my experience.
