We love this office!…read more We commute 30 mins to come here with both kids since they were born. Any time they get sick or we have any concerns, I can easily call the phone nurse (love ms Jan!!) and they will recommend if we need to come in or not. We love DR Loeb and any of the other drs if we need to see someone else. The nurses have amazing bedside manner with the kiddos and genuinely remember them and care. I can't remember the name of the nurse we usually see but she's awesome too! It means a ton to have peace of mind when it comes to your kids and thanks to Leawood Pediatrics, I do!

They enroll you in automatic payments without your consent and don't always provide a statement before the billing cycle. I cannot believe this policy is in place and it needs to be removed.

She and her newborn baby should've never had to wait over an hour and a half to even seen, and when asking about the status should not have been treated with such rudeness. Apparently you have to be the elite of prairie village since I saw about 20 families go in and out while she was waiting with a newborn. Inexcusable scheduling and then they have these large signs about a late policy and how you will get penalized. That's ridiculous. Given an hour and a half to just be seen and be treated so poorly. I don't care how good the providers are there are other places people could pick unless you're just retired and have a half a day to hang out in their lobby!! they have never historically with her other older child been on time. People that came in 30 minutes after she did have left the lobby and many others have as well some practices just take advantage of people that don't complain. Do not use this practice. There's no excuse.

Dr. Carlos is the most straight forward, honest, selfless, truly caring pediatrician I've ever met!…read moreI have met far too many between my two kiddos and rare food allergies. Dr. Carlos truly cares about the children he treats! EVERY single one! Example: My son had his 7yr check-up and he noticed one of his moles on his head had grown and recommended we see a dermatologist. I laughed and said...you remember his mole and the size?!?! And he looked at me and said, yes, I'm his provider. He never stops caring and it might sound silly but a provider remembering the size of MY kids mole when he sees 30-40 pts a day means the world to me! I have referred half of KC to him and will continue! Thank you Dr. Carlos for ALWAYS putting my kids health first!

She came highly recommended but I planned to use them in hospital only. But when my son was born and Dr. Flint made the initial visit for this practice, my husband and I were blown away and immediately made PPA our son's primary doctor. We saw 3 of the doctors during our hospital stay and all were patient and thorough, as well as very informative. We now see Dr. Flint and then Dr. Beck if Flint isn't available. We drive in from Lawrence because I know of no one comparable in our town. When I did try to see a different office in Lawrence it was to try and avoid the drive, and ended up being a horrible experience. I immediately returned to PPA. I have never waited more than 5 minutes at their offices, which is amazing as my stepdaughters use a Doctor in Lawrence who has a typical wait time of 1 hour minimum. I never feel rushed and they are always so good with my son. When my son had a medical emergency, the nurse got the doctor while I was on hold so I could get an immediate answer. Their care is very comprehensive. It's no wonder why they have such a great reputation in Johnson County!

I got to know the staff over the years and they always treat you that way! I live far from the practice now but can't imagine going anywhere else. The drive is worth it. My kids deserve the best and this is the best in the KC Metro area, hands down! Thank you Drs. Brockleman, Heaphy, Filardi and all the others! You always work my kids in and I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart! Don't change anything, no matter what others say!

Our daughter was born in March 2020 at the height of covid fear and uncertainty. This practice, and…read moreDr. Riffel in particular, went above and beyond to provide care for our kiddo. When I found out about Dr. White I was completely horrified but after taking to our Doctor about it I felt better. There is a note in our file that Dr white is never to see our child, and they are honoring that for several kids right now. Dr. White put this practice in a really tough position and while it bothers me that she works there, I can't imagine my kid seeing another doctor because the care we have received has really been incredible. I get the negative reviews here that pertain to Dr. White but I hope folks know that those docs exist all over and at least this practice is actively trying to deal with that situation. Masks are always required and always have been, they take great care to separate sick from heathy kids, and have always taken covid seriously.

Everything has been great so far. Parking: Adjacent garage that's usually easy to get a spot in, despite being a congested area with hospitals around. The elevators in the garage look the exact same as when I was a kid and that's not necessarily a good thing. Definitely not made for the claustrophobic; I take the stairs even when hauling my little chubster in a car seat. Office: Nice, friendly and efficient. I've yet to wait well beyond my appointment time. Hours: Another plus, they have weekend hours although we haven't had to take them up on the offer yet. Quality: Top-notch. Great doctors across the board and a place you can trust. While we're fortunate to have only had to go here for check-ups and shots, it's been a five star experience so far and it was an easy decision to come here. The only universal law is that you're bound to catch some kinda germ or bug in the lobby here in the winter, so wash your hands!

Our five month old son woke up at 2am with raspy, strained breathing that sounded so scary. We went to urgent care right when they opened, checked in, and were seen within 45 minutes. (There were about five families in front of us that had checked in first, but we got seen before them because we had a baby under a year old that was having breathing problems.) Once they checked his weight, oxygen levels, and heart rate, they sped up the process since it seemed serious. Within minutes there were three wonderful nurses and NPs who were helping us out and wasting no time... They gave him Tylenol for his fever, an oxygen treatment for his breathing, and a steroid for his lungs. There was a night and day difference in his breathing after the breathing treatment. Praise the Lord for modern medicine and treatments like this. It is so scary when your baby is sick and struggling to breathe, and the fact that they immediately took him under their wing was so comforting. They also took the time to educate my husband and I on what the illness was, and how to continue treating it when we got home. (We're first-time parents so this was greatly appreciated.) I'm so thankful that this was our first experience at a children's urgent care...especially during a time that felt so scary and unknown. To the team at Children's Mercy: THANK YOU!!! You are doing tough, tiresome, momentous work--and I'm sure you see what seems like a million kids during cold and flu season--but know that your efforts and kindness are SEEN and SO appreciated. You are doing life-changing, valuable work. It means the world to exhausted, scared parents like us. Thank you.
