He patched the drywall and primed it and had me look at everything prior to painting to make sure I didn't see any flaws. During the estimate I told Mr. Fox that I didn't like quarter trim. He pulled all my baseboard trim off and then laid the floor and then reinstalled the baseboard trim and caulked. As far as my master bathroom renovation went...WOW. AMAZING!!! Every single person who sees the porch for the first time takes a second look when they realize it's not wood, but concrete. Even delivery people often comment on how much they like it! I especially like how the edges of the porch were stamped to really make it look like the porch is made from thick wood beams. The workmanship is something I admire every day. The unseen extra support footings give me comfort in knowing the porch is unlikely to develop cracks. The cut joints that were wisely concealed in line with the porch roof posts are a great way to provide "hidden" stress relief lines for any possible hairline cracks. The joints are along the "plank" edges, so they look completely natural and inconspicuous. The sealant used gives the concrete a beautiful sheen that really enhances the "wood grain" of the pattern. After a year, we are still proud of our stamped concrete porch, which honestly looks better than we could have imagined. All of the above also applies to the walkway we added more recently. The multi-color combination of stone pattern and wood planks that match the porch greatly enhances the "street appeal" of our new porch and stone façade. Again, the extra support footings seem to have done their job over the freeze/thaw cycles this winter and the walkway looks perfect! It's so nice to have no worries about weeds growing between pavers. Finally, the basic, but thick, concrete pad under our rear deck serves its purpose well, and the rebar grid reinforcement provides great support for our hot tub. The "knee wall" also makes a great short retaining wall.
