INFECTED PIERCING I…read morereally wanted to love this place, which makes me more upset about the infection and the week of antibiotics I needed after trusting them. I bought a white gold earring recommended by the piercer, which fell out after just 3 days. When I went back that day to have it reinserted, the same piercer who first recommended the earring admitted the post was "too soft". He mentioned they'd just started carrying this manufacturer's jewelry and had to add an extra bend beyond the standard one to keep it in. Worse, he reinserted the jewelry without cleaning my ear, essentially pushing bacteria into the open wound. I returned the next day because it felt off, but was dismissed and told it was fine. Four days after that, I was at Urgent Care: pain, swelling, redness spreading across my ear, warm to the touch. The doctor diagnosed me with cellulitis, removed the earring, and prescribed Ciprofloxacin. When I called to ask for a refund, the owner refused to acknowledge any fault. I understand things go wrong sometimes. What matters is how a business responds. Selling jewelry that isn't fit for purpose, skipping sanitation steps, and then dismissing a customer who ended up in urgent care is not okay. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

It was not pierced to match my left one that I already had. After months of trying to heal it, I decided to take it out. Ruby offered to Pierce it again for free, which was very kind of her. However, due to angling issues I decided against it and asked for an ear piercing instead. Which again, she was kind enough to do. We did a conch piercing. I thought something was wrong when I noticed a butterfly post being used for my piercing. As far as I know from my knowledge of piercings those are never used except MAYBE ON LOBES. It should have been a 16g flat back. When I asked, ruby said the butterfly post was indeed 16g, and when I changed it out once it healed I could easily put a 16g in. I decided to trust her because she's the piercer and should know better than me. After I left, looking and feeling it, compared to all of my other earrings which are 16g I realized this was no different than any normal earring butterfly back you could get at Claire's. I immediately took it out. The hole itself was at best a 20g she might have pierced me with. I don't know if she did this because it was a free piercing and she didn't want to waste her good jewelry on me, but I'm hurt. I've gone to her for now four piercings. Tipped every time. Recommended her to others. I can't say I'll do the same anymore. Needless to say it's already closed and I'll be doing elsewhere for piercings. I'm disappointed. Pics attached.

I wasn't aware it was cash-only and said I needed to run next door to the ATM. She told me if I wasn't back in 15 minutes, she wouldn't be able to do the piercing. My friend and I took maybe 5 minutes or so, returned to the shop, and proceeded to wait another 15-20 minutes. My piercing went fine, my friend's did not. She went to a different shop for a second opinion and they advised her to remove the jewelry from her nostril and allow it to heal as it was pierced at an incorrect angle. No mask worn this whole time by Ruby. And I didn't really appreciate her comment about me getting my nose pierced "on the gay side". Unnecessary, unprofessional, and rude.

They helped her pick out jewelry and explained the difference between them. Isis is who pierced her ears and she was awesome. She explained everything before she did it , made sure my daughter was comfortable, had my daughter check the placement and cleaned everything beforehand in front of us. My daughter said it didn't even hurt! After she explained the aftercare and made sure my daughter liked the placement. I would definitely recommend pleasure and pain. My friend and I had a bizarre experience here…read more We called ahead to confirm they did inner lip tattoos--they said yes and booked us for a week later. We arrived and filled out our forms. We were the only people in the waiting area and there were two employees sitting behind the counter. Eventually, a man (presumably our artist) came out, sat behind the counter, started eating pizza, and didn't acknowledge us. Without looking up, he said, "I'll take your money, but you're gonna be disappointed." At first we were confused and weren't even sure if he was talking to us. When we said we still wanted to try, he basically said we'd be stupid to get them--while repeating that he'd still happily take our money. He never introduced himself, never made eye contact, and seemed irritated by our presence . I have 21 tattoos and I really appreciate when an artist gives me advice and honestly, I appreciate that he was trying to warn us about wasting our money, but his hostility and lack of respect was a deal breaker. We ended up walking out because I didn't feel comfortable letting him tattoo us. All of this could have been avoided if they had simply told us they didn't want to do inner lip tattoos instead of letting us book. I wouldn't recommend going here unless your want to be ridiculed.

I went to a studio in NYC and they told me that the jewelry they put in my ears had nickel in it which is why it wasn't healing properly. I expect that if i'm paying a premium for better jewelry, that it wouldn't have a toxic metal in the jewelry and that the pericer would know bette... even I know better. it's day 3 with new jewelry in (titanium and gold) and they have already started to heal.
