I have been to the other location that is literally just the next block over next to where University of Beer is now. The inside was very spacious and organized, but I noticed that they didn't have any fish or small animals like at the previous location. We visited over the weekend to pick up some Dubia Roaches for our new bearded dragon and not only did they have Dubia Roaches, but they also had crickets and Superworms. Lots of dog food options, as well as dog treats and a whole section of Kong items. They do offer a big self-serve dog washing area which I plan to utilize next time we visit. Our dog loves this place! Best pet store in East Sac. They have a great selection, and the staff is super friendly. When we were preparing to pick up our new puppy, Jenny helped us pick out her new gear, treats, and food. She helped us decide what to prioritize and what we could get later on. They also have cat supplies! Our kitties are a little more established, but we would be able to find them everything they would need here, too. There is a self service pet bathing/grooming area which we haven't tried out but looks nice! Great place to go for high quality pet supplies and friendly, helpful service. read more

Took my pup to one of the clinics held by VIP Petcare for his last round of vaccines + heart guard & nexguard. It's a hidden gem of a store and has a wide variety of treats, wet & dry food, supplements, anything you need. They also offer a self-wash station which always looks very clean and easy to use. Staff is always very friendly. They also have a points system you can sign up for with just your phone number to earn points every time you spend. Every visit to this store is a delight! Tucked away kinda sorta near Trader Joes, once you know where it is the location is great with ample comfortable parking. The employees always greet you so nicely when you arrive, and are marvelously helpful. The experience ultimately feels like a small town boutique, not at all like a standard retail business. You can feel that the employees care not only about the type of business they're working in, but that there is care in their. hiring and training. I've visited this store many times to help out my local resident mom, and every time I visit it makes me wish I had a store like this in my neighborhood. Picking up Fussie Cat brand food (tough to find in big chain stores!) and World's Best litter, along with the occasional basics as needed make this store a great local essential. I used to go to Incredible Pets all the time when it was across the street and it was a more convenient stop for me. They moved! They're next door to a Mexican restaurant.. since March, I guess. I pulled up to the front. A sign says the entrance is in back along with parking. Ok. It's nice and new. I didn't know where anything was but the staff was very helpful, very nice. They still have their loyalty program although I don't remember what phone number I used nor do i frequent the store anymore to care.. The move bothers me a little. Shoot, I didn't even know it happened. I headed to the old location and it was vacant and saw this store. I don't know the reason(s) behind it.. Is it better? idk. Support Sacramento small businesses! I always come here for my Goldendoodle's dog food, wipes, treats, and drops. Recently, I had to switch my dog over to a brand that Incredible Pets didn't offer, but they were able to create a special order so I could purchase from them. I appreciated them going above and beyond. The staff is always so kind when I come here. Before we switched, we were able to get a free bag of dog food after the 10th purchase. It was awesome! I come about once a month with my boyfriend to give his dog a bath at the dog wash. There's a punch card you can buy that is 4 washes for $30. Not bad! You get your choice of shampoo (chosen from a list), 2 towels, a large brush, and a comb to use. Blow dryers with cold air are also available. Aprons are available for the humans trying to stay as dry as possible. There's occasionally a line for the dog wash but usually there's no wait. Pretty awesome place in my opinion! read more

Took my frenchies for a bath and the staff was super nice and friendly. They supplied us with everything needed. The only down side was the height if the baths. They do provide you with a booster if needed but when used your pet isn't deep inside the tub and can too easily jump out and choke themselves. Just wish the entire tub was lifted. This location of Incredible Pets is on Folsom blvd. and am very glad to have found it. After visiting the Carmichael location several times we found this location. Oh boy I'm so happy! They seem to have all the same quality food and items the Carmichael location has minus the "security." Here they don't follow you around like you done stole something. At the same time they have all the healthy and best food and supplies I am looking for to keep my animals smiling and healthy. Before I moved I mostly visited the Carmichael location which worked. But as soon as I discovered this location I really do not want to go back to the other one. The employees here are very friendly and tell you if you need any help to let them know. Then after you find what you want and cash out, they ask if you found everything okay. Now if you ask me that makes a huge difference. That's what I want! The only difference at this location is what means a lot. They don't follow you around and make you feel uncomfortable and untrusted! I moved a couple of years ago to Sacramento and was happy to stumble upon Incredible Pets in my neighborhood. They carry a lot of natural brands and have a parking lot that makes it easy to get in and out without worrying your car is going to get dinged. I like the customer service I have received here. Every employee I interact with is friendly, super helpful and genuine! I never feel like I'm a nuisance when I ask questions or for help while juggling an overly excited dog and carrying a 40lb bag of food to the car. They are similar to Petfood Express--small, locally owned stores that offer a great selection of high quality food products for pets. Prices are competitive to PFE and big box stores, and they do offer price matching as well. I highly recommend this wonderful local business that makes me (and my animals) happy! read more

A really solid store for pets and pet appreciators alike. As soon as you walk in you'll understand why. Aisles and aisles of organized, categorized and carefully picked inventory await you. Speaking about just the cat food section, I was astounded by the selection of more health oriented natural foods from brands I'd never heard of before. (One of my cats has a runny butt and we have been going through different brands trying to see if it's an allergy.) The employees are friendly and they are always willing to help. They have a sign on the door saying they don't offer puppy adoptions there because puppy adoptions from pet stores sometimes involve dogs from "puppy mills." I'm not someone who knows anything about puppy mills or the validity of this statement, but I do support a business that cares enough to take strides against illegal or immoral things. Selection is smaller, of course, but I'm sure they carry most items you'll find at the big box pet stores. I found a nice leather collar for $7 for the lil puppy. I wanted one for the big dog since it was decently priced under $20, but they were out of big neck sizes. This location is on the circuit for mobile vets. I had a coupon to microchip 2 of my pit bulls. One is a scared little pup, and the other is a scared GIANT pup. The line was a little long but the staff was very organized with paperwork and billing, so the wait wasn't that bad. I told the staff that I had a big ol' baby who might not do well around other dogs and people, and they said we could wait in the car and bring him around when it's our turn. The vet and techs were very nice and accommodating. Glad they offer this location as a mobile vet option (weekends only) for routine shots and microchipping. read more

Sure, the prices aren't the lowest anywhere. But then, I don't have to park in a 40-acre parking lot wondering where to find the tram to take me to the store. And they remember all my purchases so I don't have to wander down the aisles trying to get the right food, litter, etc for the critters in the house. Fawn, the manager, makes sure that you're helped from the moment you walk in the door. She always remembers our pets - and the other employees are always there with a recommendation and some personal experiences to help guide my purchases. I bought a harness for my dog here several months ago. I bring it home, try it on her, it fits, yay! I rip off the tags and throw it on the shelf. I finally get around to using it and the harness is faulty. The clip that secures the size of it slides right off, and my dog walks out of it. Thank god it was on my dog who is relatively well-trained, she came right back to me. I mention it to the cashier the next time I'm in there, and she is concerned and tells me to bring it in on my next trip. So after I busted through my 50lb of dog food, I come back in. I don't want my money back, another harness might be nice. But at this point, I don't trust their products. A manager wasn't in, so she couldn't deal with my complaint. I left my number and the harness. I would buy food here, but never again would I buy another product. Once they realized the harnesses were faulty, they should've alerted their customers who bought them, or at the very least put up a sign. I'm disappointed in the quality of their product. I'll update my review if the manager ever calls me back. Edit: Cashier called me back and gave me store credit. So A+ for customer service. Overpriced, pretentious, and limited selection. I won't be back. They look down their noses if you don't pick their most expensive brands. I asked for my favorite kibble (rated 4.5 / 5.0 on DogFoodAdvisor) and was told "at least it isn't our worst brand." I picked the flavor and the girl muttered "the cheapest flavor." I inquired about my favorite brand of shampoo (which they didn't carry) and was steered to another brand which cost $20 for 16oz. I went to PetSmart and found the exact same brand and size for $15. A whopping 33.3% tariff to listen to their snobbery. Of course, PetSmart is well-stocked and had my brand for $13. This is the manager's fault, methinks. That is, if they have a manager. read more

After the lovely addition of the pup to my family, I've been finding so much less time for going out to eat. I've somehow exchanged going out to eat for going to pet stores with the pup. The trip to Incredible Pets was quite nice. I was impressed by the selection of dog food, many more brands than Western Feed. However, I thought the prices here seemed still pretty high. I bought a small tube of toothpaste and a finger brush for my dog which came out to $10, that's a lot more than I spend on my own toothpaste and toothbrush, and I am a little bit, just a little bit, of a toothpaste snob. The service here was great though, the employees were very helpful and knowledgeable. I left with a few samples of different foods to try for my dog. Hopefully he'll like one of them. read more

We exchanged several heart-felt emails and I am hopeful that this locally-owned and operated (yes!!) pet store does well and thrives in the burgeoning Folsom Blvd East Sac corredor. The parking isn't the issue. . . . it's the atrociously bad customer service!! I visited Incredible Pets on Tuesday to buy a 25 lb. bag of Earthborn Holistic Venture Duck Meal and Pumpkin dog food. There was none on the shelves. So, I politely asked a store clerk to check the back. He explained that they were out but would be getting a large shipment in on Thursday. I ended up buying the 10lb. bag because we wouldn't make it until Thursday. So, I went back in Sunday (today between 2 and 2:30pm). The only stock they had in was in a 5 lb. bag. Again, I asked the clerk (a redhead woman with glasses) to check the back. And again, they didn't have any in stock. I explained that I was confused because I was told they would have stock in on Thursday. She explained that sometimes their orders get shorted and I could check back next week. I asked where else in town I might find this dog food since we were almost out. She responded that they have 2 other locations but she couldn't guarantee they would have it in either. She did not offer to call or provide any other assistance. I grabbed the 5 lb. bag and went to check out since I did not want to run all over town looking for dog food. The checkout clerk (a woman with long straight blond hair and green eyes) asked me if I found everything okay. I stated that I did not, explained that I was unhappy and why. She explained that they placed the order but order shortages are common and there's nothing they can do about it. (Sounded like a canned response given that it was almost verbatim what the other clerk said.) I responded that it's unfortunate Incredible Pets is so unreliable with their stock. I stated this experience was very frustrating and that perhaps instead of going out of my way to support a local business, that I would just order from Chewy from now on since I know they're reliable. I was completely polite and offering honest feedback. In response, the clerk slammed her scanning wand down and glared at me until my debit card cleared. As soon as the transaction was complete, she very snidely said, "You have a nice day now." Her body language was aggressive and extremely inappropriate. I proceeded to walk toward the front door as the checkout clerk walked over to the redheaded clerk. The redheaded clerk rolled her eyes and I clearly heard her say, "Drama queen." The blonde then started laughing. There was a line in front of the store waiting for VIP Vet services. A couple in line close to the door also clearly observed the by-play because one of them made eye contact with me and said, "I bet you won't be shopping here again." I responded, "You got that right!!" I honestly can't remember the last time I had customer service that was this bad. I don't appreciate being treated with aggression and malice for providing honest feedback. Your staff was grossly unprofessional. After 8 years of doing business here, I will NEVER cross your threshold again. Nor will I recommend your business to friends and neighbors anymore. But I will definitely tell this story every time the topic of bad customer service comes up in conversation. read more

If you prefer the Costco-style pet stores, this may not be for you. Incredible Pets has a smaller selection but what they carry is quality stuff. I switched my kitties to Blue Buffalo dry food and Incredible Pets carries all the sizes and varieties and the prices are in line. I've had nothing but great service from the young staff and they humor me when I joke around with them like a crazy old dad at Olive Garden (if you know, you know). A big bonus for dog-owners is that they have samples of dry dog food - up to two per customer. No one likes to buy a 30 lb. bag of food that their pet refuses to eat. They also carry frozen and freeze dried pet food. I use the Breeze system litter box and have finally found a local store that carries the pellets and pee pads so I don't have to make the trek out to Natomas. Incredible Pets is conveniently located next to Trader Joe's, so when you're done buying healthy food for your human family, pop in and buy some healthy grub for the furry members of your family. read more
