Evan is a great trainer. He brings my energy up and motivates me to train and think positive. He's also fun to train with and I highly recommend him to anyone wanting to get in shape- no matter where you are starting from. read more

A little about where I started... I started training with Evan when I was 31. I hadn't been to a gym in years, I have been generally underweight most of my life. I'm on the slender side and I began working out with Evan in order to build confidence and change my shape and outlook on life. I hadn't been to the gym since high school! Training with Evan makes working out fun and interesting. I used to dread the thought of going to the gym but bow I look forward to it! Evan helped me overcome a lot of my concerns and helped me break through to a healthier me. Evan is knowledgeable and very interested in helping me to achieve my personal goals. When my goals change, Evan is eager to help me formulate a game plan to tackle them and achieve what I am looking for. On top of that, Evan is always on time and flexible when it comes to my schedule. When things come up, he does his best to reschedule our appointments to better accommodate me. He works around any injuries I may have and structures our workouts with any pains and strains in mind. Since I began training with Evan a year ago, I have increased my endurance, stamina, and overall strength. I have gone from having little to no definition to a much more firm physique and I am very happy with my results so far! I am looking forward to continuing my training with Evan and Incite Fitness and I strongly recommend Evan to anyone regardless of age, or fitness level. Evan rocks! read more

Evan is amazing. I hated to work out but working with Evan has made it so much more enjoyable. He loves what he does and you can tell he really knows his stuff. He keeps it interesting and supports you. I can't say enough about how Evan has changed my life. I am stronger and in better shape than I have ever been just in time for my big 45. I love this man. He is also easy on the eyes ladies. I recommend him very very highly! Love you Evan! read more

Evan is an amazing personal trainer. These reviews are old but I think he's had a few spots open up! Get in there while you can! He's well rounded and works with all types of bodies. Evan makes it fun and the hour goes by quickly. I hate to workout but Evan makes me look forward to it. He's inspiring and he knows his stuff. He's excited about his work and it shows. I know he occasionally has openings in his busy schedule. I can't recommend him more. read more

This winter I got super lazy and once the spring hit I was feeling really jiggly and unfit. I was nervous - even embarrassed I think - to go to a trainer in such bad shape, but I finally bit the bullet and gave it a shot. Evan's awesome. He's been a catalyst in me getting back on track across the board - getting fit, eating better, being more active. My sessions with him are always interesting and way different than your typical workout of doing bicep reps. He mixes a lot of different movements so the whole body is getting a work out. He's fun, supportive and pushes me to work hard (even when I try to get out of things - which I often do ;) ). I feel great when I walk out of session -- sweaty, satisfied, accomplished. Highly recommend Evan as a trainer - he's the best! read more

Okay. I HATE gyms. I never thought i would enter one again. Then along came Evan. Training has now become addictive and I look forward to it! Evan is a kind, patient, knowledgeable trainer who has literally changed my life. (Now he is changing my husband's life too!) His understanding of body mechanics, nutrition, and creating a very individual workout is unsurpassed. He genuinely cares about people, wants them to feel better, to enjoy their bodies more, and be the healthiest they possibly can. Also, the trainer-only gym Evan works out of is casual, comfortable, personal. (-And he can train in your home too if that is preferred!) Thank you Evan! read more

One thing that set's Evan apart from other trainers I have used in the past is his dedication. Not just showing up, but really tuning in on what works for me, where I might be hurting, what I might be struggling with, and where I might need help. His approach is active and pro-active. Yes, he is a fun guy and brings lots of energy to the experience, but he also is serious about getting results and making the meetings effective. No one can be motivated by someone else without already having something inside them that will respond that that motivation, but Evan has helped me find my own motivation, sometimes through enthusiastic encouragement and sometimes through reprimanding, but always with a respect for my own struggles and abilities. GET RIPPPED! read more

I am convinced beyond a shadow of doubt, that Evan is the BEST personal trainer in San Francisco. He encompasses all the qualities one would look for in a personal trainer. He is very well-educated in health and fitness, and he is an extraordinary teacher. Each session is filled with a variety of exercises, one more effective than the next. He teaches you to receive the maximum benefit while utilizing the minimum amount of time. Translation: You see results. FAST. Evan is also very attentive, and he will notice if you need to adjust your form even by half an inch - and that half an inch makes all the difference! Evan is passionate about making the body the best it can possibly be, thus improving your quality of life. He also has this amazing gift of making you want to work harder and push yourself... Even when you think that you could not possibly handle another set of push-ups, a few words from Evan will work like magic, making you do what you thought was impossible. How does he do it??! He strikes just the right balance of motivating and encouraging you, without being overbearing or harsh. I think the reason he is able to do this so well is because he truly cares about people in a way that is so genuine and refreshing. The thing I find most shocking is how much fun each session with Evan is. The hour flies by, even though you are working so hard the whole time. Perhaps Evan's fantastic sense of humor and infectious smile have something to do with this phenomenon. Overall, I would say that signing up for personal training with Evan is the best thing one could do for their fitness, health and quality of life! read more

Evan is wonderful. Working out with him feels like play. He's fun, inspiring and works with me at my fitness level, yet he's always pushing me to be better. I like that I meet him at his gym and it doesn't require me to pay extra for a membership--he covers that cost. Evan's also got a great sense of humor. An hour with him flies by and I can't believe how great I feel afterwards. Kinda tired, but also invigorated, as a work out should feel! Do yourself a favor, have a play-out with Evan. I highly recommend him! read more

Working out with Evan has been transformative. Even when it is my only workout of the week, I still feel like I'm making progress week-to-week because he adapts to where I'm at, he makes sure that all the muscle groups are worked, and he always works with me on body alignment. I leave my workouts drenched in sweat, buzzing from the effort and feeling really good overall. I look forward to my workouts with Evan, which is not something I can say for every trainer I've worked with. He will develop a personalized program that meets your needs and make sure that it continues to work for you as long as you are with him. read more

This was my first experience with a personal trainer. Evan was so accommodating and didn't make me feel self conscience. His knowledge of muscle groups and how the body works is first class. He made me feel super comfortable even when I might not feel like training. He has a nice pace and our time together always flew by. I would recommend him to anyone. read more

No surprise to see 5-star after 5-star review. Evan is a fantastic trainer. I'd give him 6 stars if yelp would let me. I was intimidated by the whole process of "going to the gym." I've been physically active at times in my life, but overall pretty much couchey-potatoey. I have a pretty busy life where exercise always took the back seat because I didn't know how to self start. I was tired and flabby and kinda irritated by the whole thing. I've had knee surgery a while back with recurring pain and also a chronic neck pain issue. I felt like a mess. So I decided to bite the bullet and start with a trainer. I started going once a week for a while with the idea that I could get started, get some advice, and work out more the rest of the week on my own. Evan was great and came up with a plan and gave very easy to understand direction. Problem was I was doing very little on my own. I was starting to increase endurance a bit and slowly see some results, but eventually found that twice a week was needed. It put me on a schedule and the fact I was paying for it made me KEEP that schedule. :) Anyways, I guess that's my blurb for why a pro trainer works in a busy life, and the take way for this review is that Evan was helpful and flexible, responding to my needs. And I just plain liked working out with him- our time is fun and productive. But here's what's sets Evan above the crowd. My neck and knee issues didn't magically go away because I was starting to be active. I'm 42 and things just don't work the way they used to. Evan really earns his keep by understanding the proper way to work out safely while still pushing the envelope and seeing results. He modifies exercises as we go along to fit me. We dialogue about what's working and what isn't. He frequently checks in a day to two after a particularly strenuous workout just to see how I'm doing. That feedback makes its way back into later workouts. I've been going long enough to see how earlier workouts were foundation for later ones. There's a plan and method to the madness. And it's working. There's no stunning before/after photo, but this past week alone I've gotten "you look great," "looking good, are you working out?" and "whatever you are doing, it's working." It's sorta what prompted me to write this review. Good luck, and "stretchy-stretchy!" read more

I have been working out with Evan for the last 5 months, and I have been very impressed with his motivation skills. He is able to keep each session interesting and fun. Even on days when I think I'd rather be elsewhere he has me smiling and excited about what we are doing within the first 5 minutes. It is usually a hard challenging workout, but he has a sixth sense about how much effort you can give on a particular day. So you usually come away proud of how much you were able to accomplish. I highly recommend you give Evan a chance if you are looking to jumpstart your exercise program. read more

Evan has been kicking my ass back into shape since my wife hired him 6 months ago. He's tough, knowledgeable and motivating. I enjoy working out again, feel healthier, and sleep better. My wife seems happier too. read more

I've been really happy with Evan's training. He has a solid, well-rounded understanding of how fitness, nutrition, sleep, cardiovascular exercise and resistance training work together to build a strong body. His attitude is terrific; he's warm and welcoming; and he's very attuned to when I can (and should) be pushed. Best trainer I've had. read more

Evan has been a treasure to find in the world of trainers. First of all, he was actually willing to work with me at my home, which seems pretty rare. But beyond that he is extremely dedicated, great energy every time, and really knows his stuff ... he can be very inventive in working around challenges. In my case I have RA which makes using my legs and knees very painful, but I still want to get exercise and keep up what flexibility I can. He keeps me going, I still get a great overall workout, but he knows how to not overtax those areas. His workouts are never routine, he knows how to work through certain cycles but he throws in so much knowledge and varied exercises that every session is .. well, let's just say I'm never bored. Even has accomplished the near impossible - I actually look forward to my sessions with him. Highly, highly recommended. read more

I love working out with Evan! I have been working out with him for over a year now and every workout is exciting and challenging at the same time. He always mixes things up and incorporates the latest workout equipment that arrives at the gym. I really like that Evan is not only working on my strength but also my agility and balance. He is great in knowing exactly where I am at physically and how far he can push me to work at my limits. He pays a lot of attention to form and adjusts you if necessary to make sure you hit the right muscles and prevent injuries. His warm and encouraging style just keeps me motivating and makes every session fun and fly by in no time. I can not recommend Evan enough! read more

It's been 3 years since I first started training with Evan. I needed to get in shape to wear a slinky gown on the Red Carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. And unfortunately, due to a a surgery I had gained 28 pounds and needed to get rid of it. Within 4 months of cardio and weights I was able to get into 2 form fitting gowns. THANKS, EVAN! And ever since, I've been a loyal follower and advocate of personal training with Evan. He knows exactly what your body needs when he sees you. He mixes it up so it's not boring. Try him, you'll love him!!! read more

Evan is great! Personal, professional, organized, motivating without being too heavy-handed, and very easy to work with. I need to work smart....Running a business and raising a small child keeps me very busy and I need to use my time efficiently...Evan really works for me and my life. Signing up to work with him was one of the best things that I have ever done for myself. I would recommend him without hesitation. read more

I started training with Evan after receiving a recommendation from my chiropractor (Brian Rizzo). I have sciatica and had been in physical therapy twice but had decided it was time to do something a bit more permanent about the situation. Evan was the man for the job as I've seen great improvement since I started with him. But what was the complete surprise was the additional benefits I got from the training. I've been going to gyms for about 20 years and thought I was in okay shape. Since I've started training with Evan I've lost 20 pounds and 4 inches around my waist! I climb the stairs on BART with ease and no longer huff when getting into or out of chairs. Evan pays close attention to what you are doing when you train with him. He noticed that I was carrying on a normal conversation when I was on a treadmill at a pace that would have previously winded me and suggested I up the pace. He has a great knowledge of physiology and gives great recommendations on stretching to avoid pain when working out. Give him a try - you won't regret it! read more

Evan is the best personal trainer I've ever had. He's super knowledgeable about fitness, and really takes the time to get to know you and customize a complete workout plan that meets your needs. He constantly inspires you to do your best, and makes working out enjoyable. I was really out of shape before I started with Evan, but within about a month, I was in the best shape I've ever been in. I highly recommend training with Evan- you will not be disappointed. read more

I met Evan through the JCC, and was glad I had a chance to work with him for a few months. I was looking to do some 'basic training' as I had my first kid in April, and wanted to get some core strength back to augment my 1/2 marathon training. He really helped me focus on form and technique, and made the workouts interesting. I look forward to continuining to work with him going forward. read more

One of the greatest things about Evan is his passion and dedication to his clients. He is truly your partner in helping you to reach your fitness goals. He works with you one-on-one to create a personalized program, and he really helps you to understand how you will achieve success. Workouts with Evan are fun and varied - never boring! He uses a great mix of cardio, weights, core work, resistance, stretching and even throws a few other unconventional things into the mix! Even if I don't think I can do it, he encourages me with a smile, and inspires me to give the extra push to succeed. And then I do, and it's amazing! In getting fit through my workouts with Evan, I've felt more inspired to live a healthier life and am much more active. As an athlete himself, he is extremely passionate about health and fitness, and loves to help people achieve physical strength, confidence and well-being. Work out with Evan! He will get you there! read more

I highly recommend Evan to anyone from a couch potato to an in-shape athlete that is looking for a great trainer and great training experience! I have been working with Evan for over four years. I initially started working out with him when I was engaged to be married as I wanted to get into shape before my wedding, and have been working out with him ever since. Evan is a great motivator, very knowledgeable about fitness, nutrition and training. He is organized, fun, smart and an overall great person to be around. He is a certified trainer and is able to always teach me something new about working out. He is also able to get me to focus on form, breathing and other important issues while keeping the workouts fresh by changing them around to suit my goals and needs. He works with a variety of clients from young to old and is able to bring out the best in them and make the most of the time they spend training with him. If you are in need of a trainer or curious as to whether you would like working with one, you should absolutely give Evan a call (and yes, this is my personal opinion and Evan did not give me any instructions as to what to write. He is just a great trainer so try him!) read more

Evan is an incredible trainer! I train with Evan 2 - 3 times per week, I lift 30-40% more weight than I could when I started, I run 2-3 miles 3+ times per week, and my dramatically improved core strength and flexibility has improved my golf swing. He is also incredibly well connected. He helped me find a massage therapist, a housekeeper, and a nutritionist as well. Beyond being a great trainer, and being well connected, I can say without reservation that Evan is truly one of the good guys. read more

Evan Knows Best! I have to say that I was very skeptical about my ability to see results in such a short period of time, (4 mos) but I've never looked or felt better. I was able to expand my workout vocabulary and discover more about my range of motion. Evan will keep you focused, keep you motivated, and, he will remind you that you are capable of seeing your body change for the better. I feel healthier, stronger, and in charge of really taking my body to the next level. He helped me take back control of my physical health. He is a world of knowledge and while at first I though he was a bit pricey, the overall experience was worth every penny. read more
