This place used to be amazing. I've been going here since before the remodel of the inside of the store. It used to be so friendly and a great source in East Hollywood for spiritual needs. The prices were fantastic and the couple that was always at the store were so nice and friendly. I just came in today to pick up a new beaded bracelet. The same style crystal bracelets I've been buying from here for years. The prices have skyrocketed insanely. When I asked why the bracelets are more than double what they used to be I was told, "It's Hollywood". I guess when spiritual practices have gone viral on TikTok and have been gentrified by the usual suspects, even the dope spiritual boutiques care less about the practice and more about capitalism. She was so informative about the products, and I never felt like she was trying to sell me anything but just answer my questions. The body butter is whipped in-house I tried the lemon grass, it smells so good and fresh. Very soft and doesn't leave your skin feeling greasy. As a novice incense connoisseur, a quick google search revealed Incense Pro's website and LA location to be most intriguing. After spending over an hour on their fabulous website shopping, since they have so many varieties! When finalizing the order, I decided on the "pick up" option to save on shipping (although it was quite reasonable, $8). The order was ready for pickup within less than 24 hours! And to add further benefit, when I arrived at the store for pickup I found myself in a wonderful heaven full of herbs (sage, palo Santo sticks, etc), many varieties of incense and burners, as well as fragrant candles, fragrant and essential oils, stones and charms, and spiritual jewelry/paraphernalia. I suppose they also had a selection of smoking accessories, however as I have recently quit smoking that section of the store was less appealing for me. This is my last and final review of this place. There is a man that clearly works here as you can see from the reviews below mentioning him. My experience at this shop began with him suggesting showing me a sound bowl. Then, he pulled me tightly against him, & demanded that I "breathe deeply". I felt too scared to unlatch myself from his arms and at the time was in shock as to what was happening. He even pecked my shoulders and was heavily breathing while pressing his body up against me. Afterwards, he told me that I "look sad" and that he had just "healed me." I didn't want to have to go into vivid detail and relive what the man working here did to me, but I feel it necessary at this point. The other reviews suggest that it is a husband and wife who work here. It seems to be clear case of a wife defending her husband instead of the truth. I'd suggest to defend your business first, because he is probably instilling such fear in many other women who have been too scared to leave reviews like mine. read more
