She then proceeded to tell me how much of an overbite I had and it's not guaranteed braces would fix it. She also rudely said I have a speech impediment and I needed to go to speech therapy!! I was horrified! I left the office almost in tears, because I speak very clearly and absolutely have no speech impediment. They said it would be about 7, 000.00 not including the 850.00 for the consultation!!! They are a CASH COW!! They're rude, obnoxious and out for money! That's it. Don't go here!

Dr. Hellmann worked on our daughter today and her life will never be the same! We FULLY expected drama and tears today, but my daughter was BEAMING and staring in the mirror, flinging her hair! She even went to the gym tonight! We are all shocked at how truly painless this has been for her and how beautiful she feels today...a day we thought would never come! Hellmann and Madeline (assistant who was SO TRULY KIND and encouraging...SHE SOLD US with sweetness...and confidence in her boss..and so relatable) they made it happen! Sadly, due to bone loss...implants were not possible. Our options were sickening for our beautiful girl. We visited 5 dentists to review lifelong solutions for my daughter (after 10 years of this and that...to get by...and keep her smile normal- ish.) We could NOT embrace the idea of dentures for our daughter getting ready for college! Hellman assured us about a Bridge. My husband and I were skeptical. This is our daughter! This is her lifelong smile! Is this guy a specialist? But...my daughter felt MOST comfortable in his office. She BEGGED to get her work done here! Hellmann was not our cheapest quote...but they worked with us on overall quote and let us make payments. My daughter just loved Hellmann...and his staff WON our business. We dreaded this visit, after 10 years of trauma - and our daughter came out smiling and in NO PAIN! Hours later, NO PAIN! Mostly, after years of being traumatized...she is not complaining, she is BEAMING! She is full of hope and for the first time in 10 years, she isn't taking out her retainer with fake teeth...or accommodating everything around mealtime and dental health...and pain. She is FREE! Mostly, she feels pretty. HUGE! All night we discussed how lucky she is, how lucky we all are to see her so free and so happy with a result, of all that happened today - after 2 hours in the chair. We are grateful. We are overjoyed...mostly because our daughter feels the joy of being the STRONG confident girl...without worry or care. She feels whole tonight (and isn't even in pain! WE CANNOT BELIEVE THAT!) She went out for ice cream tonight with friends. We were expecting a week of ongoing dental horror. I cannot believe Gods plan...and how I followed her lead...letting her determine who she felt the comfortable with. What a reward this day has been. I cannot recommend this office more! We are so grateful for Hellmann and his staff today. We have waited for this day...when the final steps are in play. It isn't...next time we will do this...and after that...we will do this...IT IS OVER! My daughter is happy...her smile ...and all the cares...are over. THE END is in sight. She went to bed loving herself...and all with a little Ibuprofen. She is so happy. That is all that matters to us. But, surely a bonus, that her teeth have NEVER been prettier. It is the best smile...she has ever had...ever! HELLMANN AND STAFF...WE LOVE YOU TONIGHT!

If anyone is considering them and would like details about our experience, please feel free to message me directly. My daughter is only 12 years old, and last week she had to have permanent veneers placed on her six front teeth because of the damage to them. As her mom, I am absolutely devastated. It was her first day of 7th grade. Instead of celebrating the beginning of a new school year, we spent three hours at the dentist's office having her six front teeth restored. At 12 years old, this is something she will now have to deal with for the rest of her life. What makes this especially difficult for me is that she was seen monthly throughout her orthodontic treatment. At her routine dental appointment approximately six months earlier, her dentist did not identify this damage. During the months that followed, we continued taking her to her regular orthodontic appointments. We were never told that her braces needed to be removed because her teeth were at risk of permanent damage. Thankfully, we also continued her regular dental care. It was her dentist who discovered the extent of the damage and recommended that her braces be removed immediately. I hate to think about how much worse this could have become had we not kept that routine dental appointment. For her first set of braces, we used Embrace Your World Orthodontics and had a much better and more professional experience. I'm sharing this because I wish another parent had shared an experience like ours with me before we made our decision. And parents, please don't let a FREE fancy toothbrush be what sells you on an orthodontist. Ask questions that matter: Does the orthodontist communicate with your child's dentist during treatment? What happens if they begin seeing signs of enamel damage or decay? At what point will they recommend stopping treatment or removing the braces to protect the permanent teeth? How and when will YOU be notified? In our experience, we did not receive the communication or warning that I believe our daughter needed. After the damage was discovered, we were extremely disappointed with how our concerns were addressed and with the responsibility we felt was placed back on us. My daughter cannot get her natural tooth enamel back. She is 12 years old and now has permanent restorations on six front teeth. No free toothbrush could ever make that worth it. As parents, we put an enormous amount of trust in the professionals caring for our children. We expect to be alerted when there is a serious problem so that we can make informed decisions and protect our children's health. I only wish we had been given that opportunity sooner.
