The center of the shop focuses on handmade jewelry that is new, but vintage in style. The prices are very affordable, too! It appears most of the jewelry is supplied by Hermoso, a local brand here that does a lot of handmade jewelry using gold tones and inspired by vintage elements. Other vintage finds include sun glasses, hats, and purses. They also have a decent vinyl collection. I walked away with a pair of handmade earrings and a simple, gold ring. Would gladly come back to buy more!

For a long time this is the place where the high school students hangout and about. And when once…read moreyou become a grown-ass adult you feel like, "yeah I should go shopping at Calvin Klein, Paul Smith, Burberry, etc." This is like, valuing yourself by the value of things you own. And after awhile, you realize all other big shopping malls are the same and none of these brands' value reflects anything but a reminder of HK's notorious materialism, then yeah, you'll miss Causeway Place. It is undergoing a big overhaul and some of the shops are still under renovation. But the result so far is very refreshing. Yes you can see a few old shops that have been here for a decade, but the new shops give a lot of interesting elements to the mall. A ukulele shop, for example, is a new sight to me. The mall also removes the lower-end shops, .e.g mobile phone cases shop or check-shop (格仔舖), and makes the whole place with a little bit of class that more than just student-friendly. One more thing that works in my favor is the male clothing shops. They are rare breeds as malls are always focusing on female clothing. Since I'm a sucker of local brands and off-mainstream designs, the boom of male clothing shops here in Causeway Place actually fits me well. Give this mall another chance. It resides at the bestest spot in Causeway Bay, and deserves much better attention after the renovation is done.

Causeway Place is right opposite MTR Exit E, along the same street as Windsor House. Unlike Island Beverley and Laforet, I would say that there are comparatively less fashion boutiques and that the shops here are more varied. If you're looking to get accessories for your phone, be it portable chargers or covers, give Causeway Place a try. There are quite a few shops that specialize in accessories for your phone, and they're generally quite affordable (although still more expensive than places like Mong Kok, because this is after all Causeway Bay). Be sure to compare prices between stores before buying though! There's also one shop that is filled to the brim with Sanrio toys and accessories. If you have a daughter or a younger cousin, bring them here - this is a Hello Kitty/Rilakkuma/Sanrio-characters-in-general paradise! You'll be able to find anything from notepads to lunch boxes to bags here. Of course, if you're on the lookout for clothes and accessories, you won't be disappointed. There are quite a couple of shoe stores here and they have quite the variety! Note that if you're buying clothes, you probably won't be able to try them on as there are no changing rooms, so you might want to wear a tank inside that will enable you to just easily slip something on. Causeway Place isn't huge, but there's lots to see and lots to buy. Instead of going straight to Times Square or Sogo the next time you're at Causeway Bay, try coming here - it'll certainly be a refreshing change!

Shopping experience…read more.. Retail therapy is my best relief and here in Hong Kong's Fa Yuen Street Market it definitely was something that I'm so glad to have visited. Nadine and so proudly figured out to navigate our way to this huge area that seem to have the dedicated space for this market which took the whole street. Walking through as I browsed each vendor there seem to be the same of many items which made me confused if it was the same seller or different though some of the prices and various other items differ I wasn't the greatest at bargaining though it was easier if it was just out of curiosity versus a want it was really fun looking through the various items with everything from household to electronics, towels and plushies. Taking the train was definitely fun and easy just find your way to Log Kok Station and there are signs to guide you the way...happy shopping! Thank you!

Fa Yuen Street is another "Night Market" shopping experience…read more The street is blocked off from vehicular traffic and both sides of the street are lined with vendors that block the regular brick and mortar shops along the way. That means there's four rows of shopping! The outdoor ambiance was fine for an October day. The sky was a bit overcast, so we were not burning in the heat. Some stalls weren't set up by noon, but most were open. Vendors didn't bargain much since prices were quite reasonable. Example: I got a pair of socks for 10 HK$ while I got another pair for 12 HK$ at a different place yesterday. Yeah, it's only a few cents difference, but hey... it's the principle. Fa Yuen Street had more fruits, towels, and household goods as compared with the Ladies Market. I saw pillows, curtains, chair covers, blankets, and scissors here. Other merchandise included luggage, purses, tote bags, reusable bags, Thai-style clothing, umbrellas, sunglasses, socks, underwear, and more! For us, it was worth the trek over. We got off at the Mong Kok Station... same one we used for the Ladies Market!

Hipster 9 does have some newer stuff, but most of their inventory (80%?) appears to be vintage. I like how the price tags have descriptions of what era the item is from (60's, 70's, etc.) I'm not a vintage expert so I'm not sure if it's truly accurate, but I'm taking their word for it. If you're looking for designer, they have a lot of designer shoes to choose from: Prada, Ferragamo, and even Tory Burch. Jewelry and purses are also a big chunk of their inventory. I'd describe their jewelry as a mix of goth, costume, and old school designer- think Burberry earrings from the '80s or Hermes cufflinks. What ended up grabbing my attention was this funky black leather purse that is part kitten heel shoe, part purse. I'd never seen anything like it and I had to bring it home with me. The store associate was even so kind to call the owner and see if she could get me a better price, and was successful! I walked away with a one-of-a-kind piece, and look forward to coming back to see what else is new.
