I was in need of ASAP tank and bc inspections. They called about a week into and said they would be ready by weekend for pick up and I said great but I will not be ready until the following Monday so that's perfect. Did not get a call from them and drive two hours to pickup items they said would be ready for sure that Monday and when I came in they said was a problem with schedules and would be ready by Wednesday. Did not get a call so I assumed they would be ready on the second time they said would be complete. Came back in and again not ready. So at this point talked to one of the owners and said look communication failed on your part as this will be a third trip by me to pick up items you stated would be ready on several other dates. This is horrible communication. The owners answer was the servicing was third party so they have no control on when things are ready. So blame was passed on to someone else for an issue they were really not responsible for because the communication was between me and In2 Deep so they took no responsibility. I was getting ready to spend hundreds of dollars on a back up computer and this poor customer service communication sent me back to older established businesses. These owners are young and I will leave it to that for lack of customer care. But be aware that you better call even if they say it's ready by a certain date so you don't waste time going to their business to be told come back later. It was disappointing as I wish to help new businesses, unfortunately, I will never go back to In 2 Deep again. read more

My family had an absolutely fantastic experience with Carrie and Nick at In 2 Deep Diving! My daughters, age 10 and 13, are each getting their Open Water Diving certification. Carrie was very accommodating with setting up a date, very helpful with some troubles we had with PADI's online training program, and met us early on the day of class to help us pick out some great gear. The training itself was a wonderful experience - my girls had a great time throughout the day. When my 10-year-old had trouble equalizing on her first dive in the pool down to 17 feet, Nick guided her down slowly, allowing her to equalize gradually, and she made it to the bottom. After that, she was generally able to do it on her own each time. For several of the different skills, Carrie would enthuse how the technique was "so cool", with fun names like "freezy teeth." At the bottom of the pool, while waiting for others to get to the bottom or whatnot, Carrie demonstrated doing flips at the bottom of the pool, which my daughters quickly caught on to. Carrie was also great with quickly sending us the referral paperwork promptly and helping us identify a high-quality dive shop in Costa Rica to do the girls' open water dives to finish their certification. Carrie also let me do a refresher course while the girls did their training. This was my second refresher course and it was much more helpful than the first one I did 2 years ago. Overall, I found Carrie and Nick and her other staff, as well as her shop, to be all one could hope for in a dive shop, for both adults and children. read more

Carrie was exactly what we wanted in a teacher - knowledgeable, lively, fun to be around, and ultimately, we felt very safe with our lives in her hands. My favorite dive shop: most shops are a little bit like your bilge; kinda under lighted, throw away furniture and minimal stock. The owner is incredibly friendly and accommodating even when coming from a different dive store. Pre-Covid, these guys had the *best* Scuba club, with free food, drink, and give-aways, in a tight, but very very friendly place (they have moved to a bigger place, I think it might be my old friends former patisserie) with good to great speakers. They also plan great dive trips, just wish my schedule was more open, so I could have signed up before they fill up - they always sold out! I will definitely be going back post Covid! read more

I noticed a new dive shop opened in the neighborhood and decided to check it out today. I was really impressed by not only the retail portion of the store that had a ton of selection for all your scuba needs but also the rental gear was all brand new and in pristine condition. The owner Carrie is so sweet and friendly and also a PADI instructor that knows her stuff. They plan interesting drive trips and also host seminars at the shop which sound awesome! I plan to go diving with In 2 Deep soon and check out their upcoming events. I just got my open water certification with In2Deep and I have no doubts I choose the best diving store in the whole Los Angeles area. Offering you great prices (for classes and merchandise), brand new/great quality rental equipment, and amazing (and very personal) customer service, they sure will would their best to answer all your questions, and to make your experience (for beginners or advanced divers) in the water, amazing! I had dive before with instructors, but during my class to be certified, I had a really bad time taking my mask off under water. Carrie, Tim and Bruce, always treated me with respect, and had all the patience in the world, showing me that everything was fine and that I could do it. Also, I can't forget to mention, that the pool they choose for the first part of the certification is a great one, and that everything went very smoothy at my weekend trip to Catalina for the second part, since I know this can be a really bad experience if you are not surrounded by nice people. I started diving fairly recently (a little over a year) and have done everything through in2Deep: courses, equipment and trips (boat dives and Catalina). In2Deep gave us great advice about what dive shop to go to in Hawaii. At this time I am a Divemaster candidate and I wish to thank everyone at the shop for an amazing experience. The shop excels at creating a diving community, there are many divers at many levels and it is always satisfying to be diving with familiar faces, all friendly, as well as meeting new friends. John, Jr. and Nick are incredible instructors, my wife and I (she has been diving with me the entire time) always joke about those two having gills and 360 degree vision! We started diving in our 60's and Nick and John, Jr. were always supportive and despite our early struggles, we felt that they were rooting for us. They emphasized our initial early successes and always kept us safe. We always were happy to return and improve our performance and get feedback. Diving has been a blessing in the days of Covid, we are diving most weekends and in2Deep has provided the platform to learn diving, continue diving and be better divers- always fun, always educational. Carrie is awesome both at the shop and as an instructor, Tim is great fun and a great teacher (Carrie, Nick and Tim are the owners). She has tons of experience, very knowledgeable, and most importantly very patient and will take the time to explain to you if you don't understand about something.
