Had a terrible experience with Anton and Shara- the massage therapist. This was going to be my first appointment with inyourhometherapy. I had booked a one hour massage. On the day of the appointment I was told that they charge for the time of the massage therapist and not the time that you spend on the table. While I understand that taking my health history is part of the one hour. But Anton kept insisting that finding a parking setting up the table will all be part of the one hour. I have a seven month old baby, so this was a very frustrating because I had planned my whole day around this. Anton kept arguing that in all clinics the one hour includes setting up the table and essentially the time of the therapist and not the time on the table. THIS WAS ALL AFTER SHARA CONFIRMED WITH ME THE PREVIOUS DAY THAT I WOULD BE GETTING A FULL HOUR ON THE TABLE AND SHE WOULD COME EARLY TO SET UP. Shara also was extremely rude in her conversation with me AND COMPLETELY FLIPPED ON ME THE DAY OF THE APPOINTMENT. Never have I been to a massage where I didn't spend the booked time on the table. Be diligent before booking services. Most of their health care practitioners have not had their vaccinations and the owner doesn't feel he needs to indicate this on his website. I had some practioners come in to help my elderly parents with some movement issues and only found out afterwards, no vaccines. It isn't mandatory to be vaccinated, as it's personal choice - but caution you to ask this question before hand and before the practitioner comes to the house. Don't assume just because they work in healthcare, work with seniors and are in and out of people's homes all week that they are vaccinated or will be vaccinated. They are adhering to each of their college's protocols (masks, handwashing) but that may not be enough assurance for you in terms of transmission. Personally I think this should be made note on the website prior to the booking, so clients and potential clients are aware before hand, but the owner, Anton says as the business owner and by law he doesn't have to indicate this. Just a caution. Accupuncture practitioner also left two needles in my parent's head by accident, they found them when they went to brush their hair. According to Anton, that's no big deal, as you can leave needles in for up to a week without harm. They were left by accident, my parent found them with their hand and hairbrush. Not super safe. The treatments themselves are starting to provide some relief. Just be very diligent and advocate for proper and safe treatment and care. These guys are phenomenal!! I've used In Your Home Therapy several times now over about 6 years. I've had a back problem twice, I have dealt with tendinitis, sore muscles after working out too hard, and have even had several massages, including a couples massage for my girlfriend and I. Not only do they really have experts working for them - like seriously - the cream of the crop! But whether I've needed a Chiropractor, a Physiotherapist, or a Massage therapist - it all happens AT HOME! I love not having to drag my a** into a clinic when I'm in pain. And each time I've needed immediate help - they've had someone at my house SAME DAY!! And the best part is that my company health benefits have covered these appointments just as they would if I went to a clinic...AND I didn't even have to mess with billing.
