My first experience of In 'n' Out was last week when I needed to get my MOT done in a hurry. I phoned up at lunch time and got an appointment for 4:30 the same day. I took the car in and was greeted by a friendly guy at reception. He took my keys after checking my car in and said it would be ready in about 30 to 40 minutes. We went over to B&Q for a look round, then went back and went into the Customer Lounge, where they have free tea, coffee, hot chocolate as well as free wifi (which had a great download and upload speed). The Lounge was lovely and clean and wouldn't have thought it was part of a garage at all. I was only halfway through my drink when the guy popped his head in through the door and said was already when we were. There was no pressure to have to get up straight away even though we were their last appointment. The guy told me that the only thing it needed was a bulb in the number plate light. He asked if I would like that done and I said yes. They then did that while I paid. The MOT cost £39 and the bulb £5 so was very pleased. The guy thanked me very much and we left. Would I use them again? Most definitely! ..and would certainly recommend them. read more

Well I think I may have found a new favourite garage in this place. I only took it for a valet service but found out they also offer up cheap and quick MOT's and services and what's more they have a lovely big clean lounge area to wait in instead of the grubby little offices most garages offer. All their services are designed to be quick and hassle free so its worth booking in. The valet I went for was great. It was £18 and considering the state it was in I'd have paid more. They did a great job inside and out. read more

KEEP WELL AWAY!!!! Took my car here for service and MOT. They tried on the oldest trick in the motor trade book - failed MOT falsely to generate business for themselves - wanted upwards of £240 for the work. I instantly knew this was false (I am no numpty like they thought I was . . . OK, maybe I am a bit for even trying here) withdrew the car and took it to another 'honest' garage where it passed MOT without even being touched by a spanner. Was expecting high things of this place! But really disappointed unfortunately! The staff were a bit rude really- and even though the price seems low, beware of extras they 'bolt on' like VAT (obviously!) and premium oils depending on what sort of car you have i suppose. Great location, just a shame it didn't live up to it's brightly coloured facade and nice looking website. read more

We have used this place on several occasions and in the past we have been happy with the service. But they say good things never last and this seems to be the case here, We are a two car family and they both required servicing and an MOT this month. We decided to take up the offer of combined service and MOT for £128 with a free valet (worth £18) and in the past has been well worth it. Booked both cars in and left them to it, What a shambles!! On our return four hours later, one of the cars was supposed to be finished the other was still waiting, We examined the finished vehicle to find the service book slung in the back seat and not stamped, and a whopping great grease mark on the inside of the drivers door. We approached the staff and were told by the guy on the desk that the mechanic had pointed the mark out as he took it in for the service?? highly unlikely!! we asked for the service book to be stamped and for the grease mark to be cleaned off. Not our problem we were told, i insisted that this was rectified and eventually the valet staff wiped it over causing a larger greasy stain which we cannot shift. The second car had been valeted and was now being serviced, We noticed that the staff no longer use seat protectors or paper mats in the footwells, big mistake my car has a beige interior, at the end of the service the footwell was covered in greasemarks off the mechanics boots and the centre console and door were covered in greasy handmarks. Once more to the reception desk to be told that the problem was not their fault We asked for it to be cleaned off. The valet staff did not want to know they had done their job previously. Now call me picky but if a car is booked in for a service MOT and valet it would be logical to do the jobs in that order!!. Not for these guys. The staff were surly and after a few minutes the desk guy admitted that he had lied about the mark on the first car and that it was probably caused by one of the mechanics, you dont say. Apparently it had been a busy day and they could not cope, I bet it gets quieter if they continue like this. Having got our cars back we both noticed that neither one smelt as if had actually been cleaned and when i dipped the oil on my car it looked as if it hadnt been changed. Not having stayed in the premises like we usually do we both doubt the service has been carried out fully. Needless to say we will not be back, read more

Took car for service, after only driving for half hour car kept cutting out. Not sure on what it was, finaly found it to be the cam shaft sensor had suddenly gone, maybe coincidence or not ? read more

Hopeless. despite booking they took 3.5 hours to do the service and MOT which failed on rear bulb, and anti roll bar bushes.No mention was made of the faulty bulb and I had to check through the MOT paperwork to see it was not working.They said they could not do them and made no attempt to replace bulb which was listed dangerous. A retest they charge for. I made them replace the bulb before I drove out They said I needed a new air filter but did not replace it and said the brake fluid needed replacing which they did not do. I paid for a full service ! and would have been happy to pay for this had they asked me rather than just presenting me with the keys and sending me on my way. When I went to my previous garage on opening the bonnet they found that In N Out had not replaced the engine cover plates properly which now had a missing bolt and had slipped now resting against a hose .All they are capable of or want to do is valet your car and do a quick service, and MOT but do not want to do even minor work. So they may look very reasonable but you end up going to a proper garage in the end and have to explain why you didnt go to them in the first place. Give it a miss.
