1 star - Never again. Feels like a scam operation…read more I went to Halfords Autocentre Bridgend (National Tyres) for an MOT. Here's what happened: First MOT: £47.95 - fair enough, failed. Retest (within allowed time): £27.99 - but they changed a previous minor advisory to a fail. This forced me to change brake discs - not flagged before. Returned again (still within 10 days): they refused to call it a retest and charged me £44.95 again for a "new MOT". They also quoted £662 for repairs that I had done elsewhere for under £200 with proper parts and labour. I ended up paying over £120 just in testing fees, even though I followed all MOT rules. This place feels like a money trap. Changing advisories, retest scams, overpriced repairs - it's all a joke. I've reported them to DVSA. Avoid at all costs.
