I took the class expecting some refreshment of what I already knew, nothing new. Instead I got a crash course in how to save a life. Not only did Dr. Nyqui go over CPR for typical adults, but this guy stopped and took the time learn what each of the class members purpose of taking the class was and spoke to situations u were likely to encounter in your line of work. From Kids at home with a treach and ventilator, to a coworker in the office and your patient Ms. Hilda "grandma" Johnson at the restaurant. He gave us the skills and know how to know when and what to do to save a life in each situation. He also emphasized how important it was to assess the situation and surroundings and how to build a team with bystanders. I found this to be important because each task it takes to potentially save a life takes time and with situations that actually require CPR, time is of the essence. So delegation of responsibility. I am confident I now have the skills to save a life all on my own if I absolutely had to, and how to assess a situation and build a team to help maximize the chances to saving a life if I had to. Dr. Nyqui was excellent. He also had jokes. Dude kept me laughing and I'm a hard impress wit jokes. I had barely slept the night before and thought it was be hard to pay attention through the lecture. Be he was interactive and engaging. Encouraging questions. He made learning how to save my daughter's life in crunch time enjoyable. Not only would I recommend this class be taken by anyone in the medical field that deals with in home care, but anyone who deals with children in their profession or has kids of their own at home. They have all three meals and snacks available. The kids are able to play indoors and outdoors on most days when it isn't terribly hot outside or windy. There is a great sized yard that is completely fenced in for the kids to be curious, explore and have some fun while being safe. They sometimes do water play days during the summer and some small field trips. There is an app to sign in/sign out your child and they will also post pictures and videos of the activities the kids do while at daycare. Pricing is a bit steep, especially when adding transportation and early or late dropoffs, but it's possibe that your family might qualify for some government programs and subsidies to help offset some of the cost. Communication is done through the app or by text/phone and is generally pretty good. My family and especially my son feel very comfortable with our choice in daycare provider and feel safe leaving our son in their care.

When we first met Ambar she seemed very professional and had parent handout and had preschool curriculum. I have twin boys they just turned 2. One of my twins takes a little bit more time adjusting and trusting new people. They did 2days a week so I knew it would take a bit more time. But he never got a chance. First day he had a lil fever but threw up too so she called me and I picked them up. He was sick. But by next week 6 days later when it was time to go he was over his cold. But by 10am everyday he went she texts me to pick him up. She has 99 degree policy. That's barely over regular and she used ear thermometer which can be more sensitive. Also kept his sweater on in heated house. Well she also has policy that they can't come back next day if sent home w "fever". (No other symptoms). Long story short he literally missed 70% of time bc he would cry/fit a little with a sweater on (she didn't take off) then his temp would be elevated. Of course he's crying he never bonded with her. Then she took pic of it and texted me to pick him up then couldn't come next day. So I'm picking both twin boys up Bc of gas etc. Only very first time was he actually sick. I went and took him to doctor and they said he was fine. I asked if they could prescribe Tylenol to me so she could give to him but as soon as I told her this she sent me a letter saying they were dropping us. I asked her what other parents do and she actually told me that she knows that other parents give their kids Tylenol in car each and everyday before dropping off. I cannot and will not drug my kids so they won't get sent home. If I had a job (I'm self employed) I would have been fired bc I had to literally miss 2days a week every week for 2 mths. I was paying her money those days for them to not even be there. This was all before covid. I don't know her policies are now in light of covid.... I found a state of California brochure for family daycares and what they should do for fevers. She did not follow those guidelines (this was again before covid)

They are even guiding us how to do the FAFSA, FastWEb.com for scholarships, and how to write a college application Personal Statement, and that is TLC, which explains the ECT! My 16yo, a sophmore, already did her first SAT test = 1100. Great start. She needed help with math as well as essays. Mikayla's plan is methodical and follows a road map. Great relief for mom, here, who does not know how to nagivate all this college prep. Where are the High School Counselors you ask? "You need help writing essays? We don't do that here. Your teacher assumes you already know how to do that. How did you get this far and not know how to write an essay? There is nothing here for you. Go to a different school... I don't know.. . Go hire a private tutor. - we can't help you here." (yes, this was an actual conversation . Imagine my son's hopelessness and depression regarding school.) Really the best advice ever. So we did. That afternoon we walked across the street from MLK to TUTORING ETC. We were prepared for more "Sorry, you are too far gone, what is wrong with you, your grades can't be fixed" discussions. What a relief for us!!!! can't say enough good. The ETC is far beyond highschool tutoring. Money well spent. I expected 3 or 4 stars... THIS 5 STARS!! As the lessons went on I took three courses from August 25th to October 2nd, I can tell that Lysset was able to gauge what type of learner I am whether that be visually or Hands-On. With this information she was able to connect with me as a student and find different ways or techniques that she knew that I would learn best. I found your attention to detail and calm approach very helpful in my journey as a student. I did not leave this Driving School as a perfect driver, ready to take my driving test, as I still need more time to learn behind the wheel on my own and I deeply appreciate the instruction that I received from Lysset.
