Honestly this is the worst customer experience I have ever encountered in the professional world…read more This is why. Please Read. I own a 2001 LS430. I went to a few places for and estimate to revitalize the black paint and make it look new again. (You know? A great paint job). I picked this business because of the $1750 price tag compared to $3500 from another professional establishment. I got the car painted in May. The owner Dennis Purnell ensured me that the car would be like new once I received it back. He asked for half up front and half on delivery. He had the car for a week. When I came to pick up the car I found drip marks, cigarette butts in the ashe trey, painted over dents & scratches, and UNPAINTED PARTS OF THE CAR. (DOOR HANDLES, DOOR JAMS AND MIRRORS) that were totally obvious and visible to see. He promised to correct the issues with the car. I scheduled times to correct the issues but he evaded me for 5 months. I finally dropped the car off on October 21. Between these dates he came up with all kinds of excuses including: The car dryer is broken and have to order a new one. I've found more mistakes so it's going to be another day. Not today, tomorrow. Found more flaws. I broke your key. I received my car back on November 11th (ALMOST A MONTH). When I got the car back it was in an adjacent parking lot, smeared with spray wax (rush job, promised to "detail the car"), dead battery, broken bluetooth mic, and broken key taped together. I was lost for words, I called him, he wouldn't answer. I texted him and he didn't reply. I sent him pictures of the work, no reply, I let him know that I would be filing against him, he replied," (Guess I'll see you in court)". I personally have had to take the car to be waxed and buffed to correct the issues. Still looks horrible. I have begun the steps to take legal action against the owner to let him know that this will not be accepted in the state of SC. I have pictures but Google has no option to post pics. I will try on other venues to help protect other customers from this sub par business. I am personally going on a campaign to advertise the type of service Dennis Purnell offers to his customers utilizing all legal resources. All the reviews on the website are a lie!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Samantha was no help. dropped my car off to adjustor to come out. informed Stokes…read morethat I wanted to use them for the repairs. Called that afternoon after the Adjustor was finished to get on the books for the repairs. Never received a call back. Had to call the next day since my call was never returned. I was only then informed that the body shop would be closing and not taking new customers. The lack of customer service and lack of communication is very disappointing from a Stokes business.

summary: I don't recommend 1. I was told they would call…read moreand give me updates on my vehicle, I always had to call. 2. I suspect they started to screen my calls because I switched from my number to using my work desk phone and coworkers phone after I would call from mine and someone would answer. they never appeared busy when I would go inside so I am not sure what was happening. 3. There seemed to be no real updates when I would call about my car. I would have the same updates for weeks. (My car was in the shop for 3 months) 4. Paint job on my car was horrible on the back end. They also caused additional damage to my paint. I was given a loaner car. 5. When given the car back, I noticed what looked like scratches but it was really residue they didn't even bother cleaning off. someone from another department ended up buffing it out for me. 6. I also informed them that one of my service lights was on and it shouldn't be. they "fixed" it and said if I have any other problems to go somewhere else. 7. My car didn't have electric issues before giving them the car. Now, I have a serivr light that won't turn off, cruise control won't work, the driver assistance that randomly turns on when it thinks I'm going out of the lane which is a hazard and so much other issues. Overall my car doesn't drive the same 8. They entered the carfax wrong and said my airbags was deployed when it wasn't. I have called to try to have this corrected, no one will return my calls once again. So I will have to correct this myself 10. I am now forced to choose if I will pay out of pocket for someone else to fix their mistakes or just trade in my car. I will be moving out of town and don't have time to keep taking my car to them, nor do I have the confidence they will actually do a good job. My suggestion to them is work on their customer service. It's stressful not having your car but it the experience I had with them did not help at all.
