I'm glad we decided to try it despite some of the reviews. I'm shocked that they don't have more stars. The line was long to get in and was still there when we finished an hour and a half later. They have an amazing system of handling the customers and you never feel rushed when eating. I highly recommend the stir fried frog legs in ginger. You get a lot of meat for the price. The ginger is strong but gives a nice flavor. This has to be one of my top 3 frog dishes of all time. The shrimp beignets were ok. A little greasy but I'm not a huge tempura fan. The Peking duck was very good. It leaned more towards being on the drier side versus fatty and greasy. I enjoyed it. It was tender and moist. One portion was perfect to share with other dishes. The stir fried noodles with pork were good. The pork was tender and had a nice seasoning to it. The noodles were thin and light. We were heavy on the meat so a veggie dish would have been helpful. If you see the line out front, be patient. It's worth the wait. And they do move the tables without rushing people. read more

Like seemingly every restaurant in Paris Chinatown, this space is super tight. I ate here twice -- once for dinner and once for soup dumplings during lunch. They are apparently Bon Gourmand Michelin rated, and highly recommended by my wife's family, who've lived in the area for over 30 years. We had to eat downstairs for dinner the first visit (a lot of stairs in Paris, like everywhere) but the service was fast. The char siu pork is extremely good -- my older son, a notoriously picky eater, loved it. I also had the ginger chicken (which I think is another popular item there) and found that to be delicious too. The soup dumplings are apparently well known and I'm shocked we got a table on a Saturday (the line when we left was out the door). It was essentially the same crew from the night before, so no rest for the weary. Dumplings are super flavorful as well as the broth. I see why it's so popular. Two very good meals in Chinatown during our visit a few weeks ago. Recommend for good Chinese food. read more

Everything was very good. This is my 1st Michelin star restaurant. In what felt like Chinatown. I've never knew this side of town existed. I'll have to come back to try other restaurants in the vicinity. Shrimp Spring rolls and soup was delicious. I'd recommend it. Disappointing Experience - Not Worth the Price Nor the Michelin Bib! The food was mediocre at best for what they charge. The crab and asparagus soup was bland--tasted like plain water, not chicken stock. The roasted duck, supposedly their signature dish, was just okay. The so-called seafood tofu pot had one shrimp, one piece of squid, and the rest was mostly BBQ pork and chicken--misleading and disappointing. Service was even worse. The waiter was rude and dismissive. I ordered soup for two, but only one arrived--when I asked, he said I should've told him it was for two. I had to repeatedly ask for tea after they took away the pot, and was told it wasn't his job to get it back. After asking for the bill three times and waiting 10 minutes, I gave up and paid at the front counter. I will not return and strongly recommend others stay away. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food with great service, try Force 強記私廚 (98 Av. de Choisy, 75013 Paris) -- I dined there the night before and had an excellent experience. read more

This is a review for my experience eating the best won ton mein I have ever had in my Life. Clear broth packed with umami silk egg noodles and seriously the best shrimp won ton i have had. The won ton are huge, minced shrimp packed into a wonton purse. I have has good french food in Paris but this meal was up there. Also which was amazing and i mean amazing was the duck. Half a duck swimming in its own juice perfectly roasted was more than a side dish and couldve been the Star itself. Maybe it was??? I was shocked at how cheap everything was: 1.At 13 euro you get a good side won ton bowl. 2. 12 euro gets you half a duck, crazy These two dishes alone could be enough for two to share although i ate everything myself, but im a 240 lbs dude. Maybe it was a placebo effect from the long long line of people standing outside of this restaurant in the cold weather today, but my party for and I really really enjoyed our time spent eating here on Chinese new year. We ordered the ravioli (shrimp dumpling) soup with noodles, a pot of green tea, The lychee cocktail, the eggplant deep-fried with shrimp, and also two dishes of dim sum. The food was great but the price wasn't for the portion you get. We order fried rice and beef ho fun, paid €8 and €10 respectively thinking the portion is like back home in Canada...boy were we wrong! The dishes were 1/4 of the size! Came here for a quick bite last night (thought it was a gonna be a quick bite). Place had patrons but wasn't too packed. We were seated downstairs area. Ordered wonton noodle soup and half a roasted duck. We waited for 30 mins, finished our tea pot, no food. When asked, the waitress simply said there were a lot of people...? Really? How so immediately after we asked, our bowl came? Four tops that sat 2 tables down from us got their 4 bowls of noodle soups within 10 mins from sit down. The family of 4 that sat next to us finished their 6 plates before we got our food. Bad service is an under statement. I think the lady forgot our order until we asked. But funny, her & the other waiter kept coming by the area to check if anyone needed anything. One star, because food was okay. read more

We ordered about 5 entrees, a ginger chicken, stir fried veggies, shrimp stuffed tofu, black pepper beef, wonton soup (without noodles). All of the entress were authentic in flavor. I've walked by this place a couple of times and it's always busy so I've always wanted to check it out. When my friends said to meet there, I was quite excited. As I sat down, the wonton soup was already ordered and I tried some and it was really good. However, for our main meal, I must say the quality, quantity, and price was quite disappointing. We had the ma po tofu, stir-fried watercress, and salt and pepper shrimp. The Tofu did not taste very Szechuan but actually has the flavour of sweet and sour soup. The flavour for the shrimp did not soak through. The watercress was overcooked and dark in colour (not that fresh). Flavour-wise, they all tasted decent. The dessert might have been the best part of the meal, even though it was non-asian. The icecream stuff we had was very very delicious. The total for four dishes, three rice, and two dessert was 52 euros - which is a lot of money. I have to admit I came out still a bit hungry and rather unsatisfied. Impérial Choisy is located in the middle of Paris' Chinatown near the Centre Commercial Masséna 13. Though it's surrounded by other Chinese, Vietnamese, and Thai restaurants, Impérial Choisy was recommended by my family who live a little outside of Paris. The restaurant specializes in Chinese and Cantonese cuisine. Though I've never made a reservation at the restaurant (and it's always been packed) getting a table has never been a problem. There are options to dine family style (ordering several plates and sharing), or ordering your own plate. I usually order the nems (egg rolls) and shrimp wonton noodle soup, or raviolis aux crevette et nouilles as they call it in French. The soup broth isn't too salty and is quite satisfying. I haven't yet gone with a large enough party to order family style, but with the reasonable prices perhaps I'll make another visit soon. read more

According to my sister who lives in France for almost 30 years, this is the best Chinese restaurant in China town Paris. I totally agreed with her. The soft-shell crab is incredible. The eggplant sauteed with pork and salted fish in clay pot is so different than the one we have in America and so yummy. Their wonton soup is very authentic that I thought I was eating in China/Vietnam. Definitely if I go back to Paris, I want to go back to this restaurant! read more

Awful service ruined everything! Beside that food here isn't better than other Cantonese restaurants on the same street. The roast duck wasn't completely chopped off, the sun-dried fish fried rice was as plain as egg fried rice. We definitely will not visit it again, this is a place with reputation but indeed a bad food and bad service! read more

After eating at Pho banh Coun 14, we meet up w/another friend and she hasn't eaten anything so we decided just to walked around and let her pick a place. We saw the roasted duck on the widow so we decided we should eat here. At first I wasn't even hungry but then decided how many chances I will get to eat Chinese food so I order anything, yes I am a PIG lol Our friend order the beef chowmein. I order 1/2 of the duck and crepes to eat it w/. One of our friend order the fried chicken and rice. The duck was golden crispy and look delicious so I ate 1 piece and then let everyone tasted my duck before boxing it up for tomorrow breakfast. The chowmein look ok but it was a tiny portion. I didn't get a chance to try the fried chicken because at that point, I was stuff. I think this place tasted better then the Vietnamese place that we try down the street. Came here with my aunt to just have the shrimp wonton noodle soup (raviolis aux crevette et nouilles). She has been to many places -- within Paris and in the U.S. -- in search of a bowl as good as Impérial Choisy's, but hasn't found one. It was very good. I'm inclined to agree that an equal shrimp wonton soup is rare, and that there probably isn't better! My wife, who said, "This is my new favorite soup," apparently agrees, too. They also happen to do a good Vietnamese-style iced coffee (cà phê sa á). read more

Restaurant was once a very good one with tasty food, a lot of people were going there. Now there are ONLY FRENCH PEOPLE, NOT A SINGLE CHINESE !!! Which is a strong criteria. My family is Chinese and we can tell by going there this week : the food is not tasty. Noodles, vegetables....they miss the perfume and the sauce taste. Portions are very small, so the price is expensive. Moreover, in the menu was described a specific type of vegetable which is quite expensive, and we were surprised that they gave us another type of vegetables, saying it was the good one. A way of robbery to sell you something cheaper for them and making you pay more. Since the boss changed, the restaurant is not good anymore. read more

Ordered the Shrimp Dumpling soup and BBQ Pork noodle soup. Both were excellent! So good that I ordered another Shrimp Dumpling soup. The 沙嗲 beef, on the other hand was terrible. So, 5 stars for the dumpling and noodles, minus 1 star for the beef and 2 Euro bowl of small rice. Good air conditioning in the basement. read more
