The service manager & Rodney told me that the correct door seals for my existing doors were no longer available. Highfield Door Sales installed universal door seals which clearly did not fit our doors and were not installed properly. The aluminum door seal they installed was cut too short on the ends and hung down 1/2 inch below the bottom of my doors. Their solution was to fill the large gaps with big globs of silicone. The rubber going to the outside edges were not attached to the bottom of the aluminum frame and hung down. The doors did not seal to the floor properly and water leaked underneath them when it rained. This was not a professional installation. I texted pictures to Rodney's phone of the terrible job we received and he stated by text back "the way the bottom retainer was installed is completely unacceptable and I totally agree with the top seals not being secured enough". We also had them grease our doors and hinges and they sprayed lubricant all over our door hinges. They did not wipe it off and it ran down all of our doors and left dirty streaks on our white doors. Again, Rodney stated by text "I totally agree with you about them not wiping the excessive lubricant off completely unacceptable". They came out a 2nd time and installed a new set of door seals. The 2nd time was not much better. The door seals were tighter to the bottom of our doors, but they cut the rubber seals at the end and rolled them back onto themselves. Eventually, the rubber began to hang down and hold water inside of them. They were not attached to the aluminum frame at all and did not seal to the frame or the floor. We called other garage door companies. The correct seals for our Haas doors are in fact still available and have been used by Haas doors for over 25 years. Rodney and his service manager were not truthful with me, both of them told me the original Door seals for my garage doors were no longer available anymore. I told Rodney I found the original door seals for my doors in stock at other companies. After all this , Rodney stated he could of got them from a 3rd party. TL Doors installed the correct Haas door seals on our doors. I sent Rodney the bill from TL Doors for $ 650.00, which was very reasonable. My bill from Highfield Door Sales was $ 1775.00, I should not have to hire someone else to fix a job I paid twice for 9 months after they installed them. Rodney agreed to refund me the $650.00, but then only gave me a partial refund back of $386.00 leaving a balance of $ 264.00 due to us. About 1/2 hour after my last request for payment, Mr. Highfield gave our dealership a 1star review. This Retaliatory review came about because of poor workmanship by his company and poor customer service to resolve this issue. Rodney said he had issues with 2 trailers he bought from us from a 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 years ago. Everything was fine with his 2 trailers, until we demanded payment on the balance due of $ 264. Rodney agreed the door seals installed by his employees was not a good job and in his own words by email, "Totally Unacceptable ". Mr. Highfield said he would refund our money back that we paid TL Doors of $ 650, but only gave us a partial payment of $ 386.00 leaving a balance of $ 264.00 due to us. You would think a reputable business person would settle this with us and repay for the poor job by his company, but NOT Rodney. Keep in mind this has been going on since last year. Mr. Highfield has been very unprofessional in resolving this matter and even stated in one of his emails towards me on 3/25/26, "you are a complete and utter jackass". Another email an hour later from him, "You are a mess sir. You probably should get yourself a psychological evaluation of your mental capacity because you have some serious problems". All of this profanity and defamatory remarks towards me is unacceptable, Great customer service Mr. Highfield WOW just WOW

Builders Group Construction did an amazing job on our Bathroom remodel in Oakwood, Ohio. They…read morecompletely transformed the space. We went from a basic tub/shower combo to a beautiful set up with a garden tub and a new, tiled walk-in shower. The details really make it; the marble mosaic floor looks incredible, and the wainscoting tile around the entire bathroom gives it a clean, high-end finish. The bathroom is finished with a white vanity and black accents that ties everything together. The construction crew was professional, they kept the space clean during the remodel, and the quality of work shows in every part of the room. I would have gladly given 5 stars if I was simply reviewing Justin (the project manager), Kevin and the construction crew. However, the owner of the company, Mark, has poor people skills. When we had an issue with lack of communication between Brittany and us and Brittany and Justin (which essentially cost us $3000) and I reported it to Mark, he blew it off and talked to me like I was an inconvenience to him. All he had to do was say they dropped the ball and apologize, but his ego would not allow him to do so and he instead said, "I don't know what to tell you, you can do it or not, its up to you." That is very poor customer service in my opinion. I also feel that during the "selling the job" phase, Justin should have been included in the initial meeting with us and Brittany (who sold the job) so there was no miscommunication between the two of them. With all things being said, I would still recommend Builders Group Construction, but I would not deal with Mark again.

Edit: After completing and submitting a quick line by line analysis of the original cost estimate…read morequoted, the work that was completed, and the final invoice, the company representatives were responsive and understanding of my frustration on the price estimate and invoice correlation (or lack there of). They quickly reached out at that point and to make sure that the billing issue was corrected. Our new total is a little under $1k, which actually lines up much better to what we were originally quoted and the work the was actually done. The invoicing system that this company is using is a new to them system and caused quite a bit of issues in the pricing of our project. I do not think that my experience is the normal experience for this company, however, I do HIGHLY recommend thoroughly reviewing your cost estimate prior to work being completed and making sure that you have a THOROUGH understanding of what you are paying for. Original issue: They originally quoted us $3000 for a total wall replacement and new Subfloor. They were able to adjust the wall and replaced a square of floor board and still tried to charge us almost $1700. Attached shows the original estimate which included taking the entire wall out and replacing. The final $1339 invoice is not including the $304 deposit that we made on the original estimate. That included, puts the total paid $1643. There entire invoicing system seems insufficient for customer needs. I have a limited idea what I actually am paying for at this point. The original estimate I assumed was paying for entire day or 2 labor, but of course I have no idea since labor and materials don't have their own line items. From the entire billing process it seems as though they arbitrarily put in numbers. I was told I would get a 10% military discount, but I have no idea if that is the case as their is no line item showing that on the invoice. I am extremely disappointed in the billing process of this company, had I known that I would being paying 66% of the original estimate for 25% of the work, I would have actually had them do all of the work I was quoted for. I genuinely feel deceived and robbed at this point. I guess the only silver lining is my door shuts easily now... I will also say the quote process was easy and well executed.
