I take my Porsche there rather than the dealership whenever possible - I much prefer their workmanship, attitude, and the price is often much better which is nice. Even if they cost more I would prefer imported auto center - they tell me when I don't need specific services, bring appropriate items to my attention and give me options, and are candid when there is something out of their abilities or comfort zone (certain cars have very specific tool needs or specialty bits that are impractical for anyone but a dealership, especially on oddball cars like mine). They would rather my car be repaired properly than make a few bucks off of me. Highly recommended! read more

I brought my Infinity to Imported Auto Center because the blower on my heater wasn't working and the place where I normally go couldn't figure out what was wrong. I agree with the previous reviewer that Imported Auto is not cheap. However, you will be treated well. They won't mess around with you and make up problems that don't exist. They will tell you exactly what is wrong and how much it will be to fix it. You will likely pay more than you will at a local car service chain but you have the peace of mind knowing that when you only need new brake pads, that's all you get, unlike Firestone that will tell you it is also the rotors, the calipers, and will be an extra $500. So really, maybe Imported is cheaper since they won't be doing unnecessary work! Bottom line: they treat you with respect, never talk down to you (as a woman I have run into that issue before), and won't rip you off. I hope my car runs well enough that I won't be back soon but if I do need service I wouldn't hesitate to stop by Imported. read more

I took my BMW there for some front axle work to find out that they put in an aftermarket part costing $300 and charged me for the OEM part for $1200. I was lucky that the sticker on the part was still visible and took pictures to show them. Otherwise how would you know what part they put in ? When confronted they gave me a song and dance saying that it was a mistake but they said that they mark up their aftermarket parts by 50% When asked why, they said this is common practice. I did not understand why would they charge a customer 50% over the price they pay as they have no added value to the part. After arguing with them for a while they finally returned some of the difference but not the whole price difference between the OEM and aftermarket part. I would never trust this place again after this experience. I am not going back. read more

I brought my BMW there because it had a coolant leak. They replaced the O-rings and charged my $500. The next day my car still alarmed me that the coolant was low, so I brought it back. The guy told me he must have made a pinhole in the line when the replaced the O-ring by accident, but I would still have to pay him another $1300 dollars for him to fix it even though I had already given him $500 for basically nothing because nothing was fixed. I brought it to a different auto shop and they told me "It doesn't look like anyone has been in here before." Won't be back. read more

They fixed my cars- both American and foreign- for many years and I was ALWAYS treated well. They are not cheap but they are honest and get it right the first time. Mechanics are top notch and quick to call with updates. I now live too far away to deal with them on a regular basis but will return in a heartbeat should I ever need anything too challenging/ complex for my local garage. read more

Expensive, yes, but that is of course to be expected. What I was completely turned off by was the attitude of those helping me and the service. I had brought my car in for multiple repairs and each time felt belittled as if I should know more about car mechanics (that's why I brought my car in!!), should have treated my car better (I'm not careless or incompetent) or should be quickly willing to drop hundreds or thousands on repairs without second thought. Rudeness and condescension abound! Kindness was only shown after I wrote the check. I do believe the repairs were well done, but I won't be returning here. read more

I trust Imported Auto to tell me when a repair or maintenance service is required or a "nice to have". They have helped me keep my cars working beautifully for well into the 200k range of miles. Angelo and his staff and crew explain the work to be done in a way I can grasp it and feel comfortable authorizing it to be done. They honor my AAA membership, gave me rides to work when I needed them, call me if estimates change, and complete the work when promised. I almost forgot - they also have a payment option that allows 6-month no interest payments. Honest, professional, thorough and wonderfully personable service every time. I agree with the others that they are straight with you and have high integrity about what needs to be done; they will not rip you off with added "repairs." We have used them for 10 years for an Acura, then a Toyota and Honda. Generally good expertise. HOWEVER, recently they did the brakes and rotors and I only got 12k miles out of them . . . that is not far too few for my car/driving/conditions. I can only assume they used a sub-standard supplier for the pads. Also, a year ago, we had a significant problem with the contgrol arm assemblies. As the primary driver of the car, I knew there was a problem and they couldn't find it. They did change the stabilizers and bushings, but didn't address the control arms. Five months later, they finally diagnosed and fixed it, saying, "There's no way we could have missed that." I am confident they did miss it the first time and, for me, that throws their expertise into doubt. Plus it was a serious safety issue. Granted, this is an older car (150k mi), but that should not effect their ability to diagnose a problem. I give them an A for integrity and a B- for consistent expertise. read more
