Katie( Dental Assistant) is very strong, wise, very considerate about your comfort & also very talented. Lexi (Dental Assistant) makes you feel at ease, very sweet with a cute personality. Aubrie( Dental Hygienest) is very professional , very thorough & informative. One more shout out to Kenneth who is a great & funny guy who is very acomadating with setting up our appointments ! They falsely advertise "emergency care" to basically get you in the door so they can do a full exam…read morewith X-rays and bill your insurance. Only after all that will they consider dealing with whatever you need emergently taken care of and usually that requires another appointment on another day. Kind of defeats the point of coming for urgent needs if you can't have something simple like a lost filling addressed. Maybe don't advertise emergent or urgent care unless your practice really intends to provide that kind of care. Overall definitely a business model and not a true healthcare model that prioritizes the patient and providing quality care. Would give zero stars if I could.

When my mother called to ask why my recovery was so rough, (that being my face twice it's original size and bruising all across my jaw and neck, partnered with a black eye,) the receptionist had zero compassion and was not concerned with the pain a patient of theirs was feeling. The doctor told my mother my teeth were harder to get out than he thought, then sent me home after completely traumatizing my face and mouth, altering my appearance and making it impossible to open my mouth fully. I understand everyone heals differently, but the situation could've been handled better. If you are looking at getting oral surgery done here, I would go somewhere else.

I can't even begin to to tell you how comfortable and amazing my experience has been with Dr. Gay…read more I finally bit the bullet and went to the dentist. At the time of my initial appointment I hadn't been to the dentist in about 10 years (I know, shame on me) so I was a little nervous going on. I had this fear that I'd be shamed or judged and be made to look careless about my oral hygiene. I experienced none of that. My appointment started with an initial consultation with Dr. Gay that included my background, my goals, his goals for me and a general plan of action. It proceeded on to x-rays etc with another discussion about the status of my mouth. From there Dr. Gay laid out my exact issues with both teeth and gums, and the steps we would take, while making sure to treat me without blowing through my insurance limits. He made sure to convey to me the importance of treating the issues with my oral health in a way that wasn't condescending or judgemental. He seems like he truly cares about getting his patients back to great health (he mentions often how he feels bad when people say they hate going to the dentist). The office staff from the hygienists to the reception team is fantastic. The location is prime (great views of the city). And the entire process has been painless ;) I'm glad I did a little research to find Dr. Gay and his team because it's given me a new found appreciation for the treatment of my teeth and gums and I can thank Dr. Gay for it.

I was going to write a long piece about how Dr Gay ('Skip' to his staff and clients) has almost -…read morenot quite, but almost - taken away my prior phobia about dentists. About how his hygienist has a marvelously calming attitude and how his front desk staff are lovely and generally accommodating to my scheduling needs. About how understanding he is to my financial concerns when potential costs for work look like being expensive and how fantastically he willingly - and speedily - looked after my elderly father's dental emergency whilst on holiday with us from England (and then refused to charge us anything for his professional assistance). About how, after any kind of dental surgery, he calls you personally in the evening to see how you're faring and to find out if there's any problems he can address. Then I realized I can sum up how good a dentist he is with one sentence.... I am British and he has successfully managed to deal with MY teeth! That is all.

They said they had "called" my insurance company to verify coverage. I was told I would have to pay around $1,000 out of pocket prior to the surgery and that it should be all that I would need to pay. I put it on my credit card and proceeded to have the surgery under the illusion they had talked to my insurance for me. A month later they sent me another bill for about $1,000. They tried to say that they stated it was only an estimated cost when I had gone for the surgery. I have a witness that heard them say there wouldn't be any other out of pocket expenses. It's disgusting to see how people are being taken advantage of during hard times such as these. I would have gone to another provider if it had been made clear that it was not verified my insurance would cover the surgery.

I was in so much pain. I couldn't even eat. They treated me as if I was an addict for asking for help despite seeing the extreme swelling in my mouth and face. I don't even take any kind of medication at all. When I went to the office after the root canal, the dentist replaced the original crown but was extremely rough with me in the chair. I expressed my concerns about my tooth still hurting 3 times which it still does and he minimized my pain. He actually just filed it down even more so now it doesn't look right in my mouth. I haven't been back since. This really bothers me. I have never been treated like this in a doctors office in my entire life. My crown, on which I had spent probably near $2000 for root canal, buildup for a crown, and the crown itself, ( he did the root canal and buildup) came off in my mouth during normal wear after a year and a half. I came off while I was eating some chocolate. When his buildup job sheared in the middle and the crown come off, due to his low quality work, it created a deep crack. When I went to him with the intent of having a post put in and replacing the crown, he found the crack, and told me that due to the presence of the crack, I couldn't replace the crown. I was now left with 2 crappy choices, have no tooth there, after going to all that trouble and cost to have a tooth there, or pay around $4000 to have an implant. My other dentist, who put on the crown was willing to fix his part for free, even though his work didn't cause the problem. Dr. Siegel, who felt no sense of responsibility for the situation I was in because his work failed, is insisting on charging me a few hundred $ for the visit where he gave me the news that I was screwed. The whole incident has given me a negative image of this practice as one that is greedy and does poor quality work.

I didn't know who to go to that could put up with an extremely nervous older lady(me). One of my best friends told me of Mark Pfeiffer in Ft Thomas.
