'Eat as much as you like' - probably the most dangerous phrase in the restaurant world. The Imperial Garden in Woking is a therefore a dangerous restaurant. A permanent buffet is always on offer where you can return to the buffet table ad infinitum.
This food is great - it may be stuffed with MSG (the fifth flavour), sugar and other naughty things but it is all so tasty. Don't expect high cuisine though, just an immense range of well prepared dishes. This includes the classics such as prawn toast, satay chicken, sweet and sour chicken, pork, crispy duck (oh yes!) and crispy pork (oh yes!). I'm hungry just thinking about it!
To top it off is a seperate soup buffet and dessert table plus blander nosh like chips and chicken wings. The only thing you don't get free re-visits is the drinks. The decor is mediocre but the service is excellent as there seems to be so many waitresses. You can even visit the buffet for take-away. Oh boy I need a sweet and sour fix, stat! read more
