This Resteraunt is in a great location. Easy to find using the postcode and sat nav. Easy parking…read moreand more to the rear of the property as well. The inside transforms you to the East. Very well laid out and looks fairly new too. Lots of statues wood carvings etc. Even a few ponds and a mini bridge. The lighting level is low and really sets the scene. The pay one price and eat what you like is better than most in so much there is a large choice and the food is delivered to your table The food taste was great and although the food didn't always come out at the same time it was worth it The waiters try to double up portions and are quite strict what they will or will not do and at times can be quite rude. In fact they are a riot and very rude Drinks are extra. Good selection We ate as a large family group on a Sunday lunch time It was a good Resteraunt as far as the decor and food choice and quality was concerned. The big down side was the staff. Abrupt. No interpersonal skills. No interaction. My recommendation would be either change the staff or go self serve I wouldn't return

The restaurant has set menus if you don't want to have to think for yourself and you are happy to let the restaurant choose the meal for you. If you want to entertain a small group of friends, this would be an excellent venue. You will not leave this restaurant feeling hungry.

A drug company rep has held meetings at both venues, which I've attended This Guildford branch copies the formula of the original restaurant by offering a very upmarket stylish dining experience. There is a lovely big car park out of the back of the restaurant. The doors are guarded by stone lions, Chinese symbols of luck. As I entered, I was struck by an elegant waterfall feature and large fishtank. The decor is modern with lot of dark background and clever lighting. The food ordered by the rep has been classical Cantonese 'old favourites'. However, it is beautifully presented with carved vegetable adornments. The food is also well cooked with those familiar flavours faithfully replicated. I may return one day and order more challenging dishes to see if the kitchen can produce something outside of that designed to please the western palate. I think they should be able to meet this challenge

Went to Beijing for the Sunday Buffet (£19.50 pp), the buffet includes unlimited starters and mains…read morethat are all made-to-order (no buffet line here!). The decor is very nice- pretty fish tanks, chandeliers etc. We'd made a reservation and were seated after a few moments. The menu had many selections- unfortunately as far as the mains go the selections tended to repeat (chicken, tofu, beef, lamb in pepper sauce all listed separately {which made the menu look bigger although there were still many options}) we opted to order mixed starters for the table to share as well as duck for the entire table. Portion sizes were reasonable for the mixed starter. The ribs were on the sweet side however I enjoyed the Sesame Prawn Toast as well as the aubergine. The duck was a very generous size- it was the best part of the entire meal. The mains were not too big nor too small. We ordered a bunch for the table and picked at each dish. In my opinion the mains were not very authentic- the sauces tended to be a bit too sweet or a bit too salty. However the tofu in sweet and sour was nicely crisp (the sauce was too sweet for me). Overall- the service was average, the duck was quite good but Beijing lacked in authenticity. I won't be running back anytime soon but The value isn't bad for the amount of food.
