Food excellent from one of the set menus, service attentive without being in the slightest bit pushy, and although there seemed to be some kind of electrical trauma going on - lights flickering occasionally - we enjoyed a long, relaxing and delicious dinner. The menu had many selections- unfortunately as far as the mains go the selections tended to repeat (chicken, tofu, beef, lamb in pepper sauce all listed separately {which made the menu look bigger although there were still many options}) we opted to order mixed starters for the table to share as well as duck for the entire table. Portion sizes were reasonable for the mixed starter. The ribs were on the sweet side however I enjoyed the Sesame Prawn Toast as well as the aubergine. The duck was a very generous size- it was the best part of the entire meal. The mains were not too big nor too small. We ordered a bunch for the table and picked at each dish. In my opinion the mains were not very authentic- the sauces tended to be a bit too sweet or a bit too salty. However the tofu in sweet and sour was nicely crisp (the sauce was too sweet for me). Overall- the service was average, the duck was quite good but Beijing lacked in authenticity. I won't be running back anytime soon but The value isn't bad for the amount of food.
