First off it's important to note that I have given my daughter a dozen roses, balloons , chocolates, and plush every Valentine's Day since she was 3 years old. I even succeeded in having her Valentine's delivered while in the hospital once which was no easy feat. I made this floors to wear this while placing my order. So please keep this in mind when I explain to you my experience with this florist. My experience is as follows it is 100% accurate and truthful and unbelievable to me: ​​I contacted this florist two days before Valentine's and while placing the order it was suggested to me that i go to the website to view their selection and choose what I wanted to add and call them back they took my name my $170 flower arrangement and the CSR gave me her name to ask for when I called back they guaranteed me valentine's Day delivery. I could not view the website while on the phone with her so she wanted me to call her back i took less than 30 minutes to select the add-ons which was added another $60 to my order bringing the order to over $225. When I called back we got all the way down to the point of accepting my credit card and she told me oh I'm sorry i can no longer guarantee you valentine's Day delivery but they could do it on Monday which is 2 Days Later. I told her had I known this I would never have disconnected to look up the plush animal and balloons I would have told them to just pick what they think that the only reason done that was that her suggestion and now you're telling me that you lied to me and refuse to deliver on Valentine's Day which by the way is only a few blocks from their business. Very dishonest florist and cause me to not be able to make Valentine's Day delivery to a college student who is on a full scholarship and deserved every bit of a Valentine's gift. I would never put my trust in this florist after this incident. I was not rude because I was in shock and I went back to the phone call I believe I would have went off. I'm extremely upset because this was very important for other reasons that this be delivered on time and on Valentine's Day and because of their actions and their lies that could not be done now & by no fault of the customers. SO TRUST THIS FLORIST AT YOUR OWN RISK. I have owned five businesses in my lifetime and from an entrepreneurial standpoint something like this is devastating and I would have made 100% sure to have made this delivery possible due to the circumstances of this happening by no fault of the customer's own other than he trusted the florist in their lie. Thanks for ruining Valentine's for my daughter and for breaking a 17 year tradition. My hope is karma is returned to you for this. read more

I've used Imperial Flowers several times over the years and never been disappointed. I have in-laws (and my wife when she goes to visit) in Lexington. They have delivered to the hospital and to residences. I'm not savvy when it comes to flowers, but they have guided me in selection and ensured that I got the best bang for the dollar. I live in California and had flowers delivered to someone with perfect service from Imperial. I typically don't send flowers to people, and the person I wanted these delivered too takes special meaning to flower types and colors. So I called and spoke with an employee who assisted in my order perfectly and was very succinct and thorough with everything about my order: price, size, theme, card, signature, delivery address and specific location. The whole conversation was less than 10 minutes. The delivery was earlier than promised so I appreciated the timeliness of this business as well as the turn out being quality product. I was looking for flowers for a family member's surgery who is a huge UK fan and in searching online Imperial Flowers is the only florist in the Lexington area who had UK themed arrangement. Their online ordering process was very quick, I found the A Road to Victory arrangement with '48 Ford truck with UK door emblems and a victory flag filled with blue and white flowers added it to the checkout cart put in delivery information and note to deliver in the afternoon. The order was delivered promptly the afternoon of her surgery and she loved it! My husband ordered an arrangement to be sent to my job on Valentines day. They flat out lied about having delivered it to my address and then they yelled at my partner when he tried to resend them to me. They had the wrong address the entire time (despite being given the right address twice) and never once apologized. Instead, they were defensive and completely unprofessional. When I wanted flowers for my wife's birthday, in short time I found the Fresh Arrangement SUMMER SUNSHINE 0201, and another also bright yellow arrangement to discuss with the staff at Imperial Flowers. This was my maybe my 5th time allowing them to help me get flowers that would matter to the recipient. After choosing the Summer Sunshine vase, I was stunned at how beautiful it was when I picked it up! There were possibly 5 types of blooms including extremely fragrant Lily blooms, and 2 or 3 forms of greenery! For 7 days we enjoyed this fresh arrangement. Filtering out a few aging cuts, the vase of flowers was pleasant for 12 days before we had to say 'bye to them. If you want lasting flowers, arranged to look fantastic, I hope you find them where I have, at Imperial Flowers. I called the number off their website to order a bouquet for my wife's 50th birthday. I wanted these delivered to her work. I specified that i wanted a different color rose than was pictured on the site. The person taking the order said it was ok bit when she got to the end to take my payment the amount was much higher than the price listed on the site. She then realized that she selected the wrong bouquet and corrected the problem, but unbeknownst to me she forgot to add the color i selected so the outcome was my wife received the wrong color, which is one she never really cared for. I was a bit disappointed when my wife thanked me for the roses and sent a pic. I emailed them right away letting them know they sent the wrong color and the response i received back was not very professional. Basically the response was that a mistake was made and if i should have called during business hours and this would not have happened. Basically my fault. I did call before the store opened thinking someone might answer because it was close to opening. I called the number they listed on the site and the phone was answered by their 24 hour call center and i spoke to a person that took my order. So basically they do not guarantee your order if it is taken on their 24 hour call center they employ. My email back responding to their answer was of disappointment in their customer service and the fact that they placed the blame on me the customer for calling at the wrong time even though the call center is an extension of their business. My recommendation would to be to avoid this business based on their customer service philosophy. read more

I have received beautiful flowers from this shop over the last few years. My daughter sends me a bouquet on HER birthday! (good kid). The flowers have always been fresh, artfully arranged in beautiful colors and lasted a long time. I am writing this review right now after needing to finally toss out the arrangement I got over 2 weeks ago, the flowers were beautiful for a long time. The only thing that wasn't good about this shop is they once left a bouquet for me at a neighbors and left a cryptic card in my door. I got mixed up and didn't realize flowers were waiting for me at my neighbors, but at least they make sure to leave flowers with someone, rather than leaving them on your door if you're not home, so actually, that was a nice thoughtful thing they did. I received the delivery of a birthday gift yesterday. The young woman who delivered the orchid climbed my snow covered steps to my snow covered front porch to be sure that I was home before bringing the flower out into the frigid air. My husband orders floral arrangements for me from Imperial, and I am always really happy with the flowers they deliver. The designs and the quality of the flowers are just beautiful. Even the delivery people have been super nice when they bring the flowers. I've seen some of the reviews for this florist that are less than stellar, and I can tell you that I have done business with Imperial for many years. The customer service has always been such that they went out of their way to make sure I was getting what I wanted or what my husband wanted. As an aside: It may help to know that at Valentine's Day, floral suppliers all go up on their prices for roses, therefore florists have to charge customers more in order to cover their own costs. So, if anyone has a problem paying $90 to $100 for a nice dozen roses at Valentine's, maybe consider buying them at another time of year. As far as Imperial Flowers is concerned, though, I have only had positive experiences, and I have friends who will only get their flowers from them because of their beautiful, many times original, designs and their great customer service. read more

I chose an elegant looking wooden jewelry box, surrounded by pink flowers, priced at $79.95 before the Yelp deal. What actually arrived was an embarrassment, nothing at all like the picture. I called Imperial Flowers from my home in CA to have some flowers delivered to my dad who was in the hospital in Lexington. The lady on the phone was friendly and professional and took my order quickly (I ordered the "Azure" arrangement after I saw it on their website). I wasn't sure about my dad's room number, but it wasn't a problem. I gave them his name and they confirmed his room number with the hospital. The next day the requested flowers were delivered to my dad's room at the hospital and I received a confirmation email about an hour later. From the photo my dad sent me, the flowers were beautiful - and looked just like the picture on their website. Overall, it was a great experience and their prices seemed reasonable.
