She puts you at ease and helps you with any questions you have. Dr. Jex is amazing. He explains everything to you really well during appointment & going over the x-rays and gives suggestions of things to do at home. My 4th visit was followed by a massage, by Andy. He did a great job. I was a little sore after which I expected, but as the day went on and taking an Epsom salt bath, I feel so much better. The healing is slow but I notice a difference after every appointment, which when you're hurting those little steps in the right direction feel huge.

I went there years ago and am just now writing a review because I was considering going back for…read moretreatment. All I can say is I was in severe pain and pretty much not knowing how I'd continue being able to not only go to work but just function normally. I was skeptical of chiropractors but that changed immediately. After my first session I was feeling better and after about 3-4 sessions I was pretty much back to normal and beyond. The Dr was great and the receptionists were great. I highly recommended their services.

I came here once because they accept Aetna insurance. I gave them my insurance info and they…read moreconfirmed my benefits with my HSA plan. CONS: 1. I had a massage with Helena. She was very short with me and not personable at all. She just wanted to finish the appointment as quickly as possible. On a skills perspective, likely one of the worst massages I've ever had, and I've tried many different chiro centers between Bellevue and Renton. I had to book another massage at another clinic to help relieve pain cause this did nothing for me. 2. I've never had a 1 hour booked massage, end at the 53 minute mark. When I asked, they said that they end all their massages to allow for time for clean up. So you're charging my insurance a full 60 minute massage when I really only get 53 minutes?\ 3. I have an HSA plan, so I have to pay coinsurance until my deductible is hit. At checkout, Awna from the front desk said that they charge patients at checkout and wait for the EOB to come in to chare/refund the difference. Again, I've had many massages and this has NEVER happened to me before. Even a quick Google search will say that you should wait until the claim is processed so that you are charged the correct amount. It's almost like they wanted to charge the patient first, and not insurance, so that they don't have to file the claim and get the contracted price from Aetna. That's an assumption, but either way, it's shady. I went to another massage a week after this appointment, and used the same HSA insurance, and I was NOT charged at checkout. They are processing the claim first. That's how it's legally supposed to be. Lastly, more of a nice to have, but they didn't have any water for patients post appointments. Most chiro places I've been to have that. This is a bare bones chiro/massage practice that does some shady things to profit off of their patients. I would not recommend this place at all.

My purpose was different, I was preparing to have some surgery and was looking for natural ways to promote healing after the operation. I am very happy I went to Chris, he understood very quickly what I was looking for and helped me to reach a relaxed state. I have seen him just once so far, but I plan to return once a week has passed after the operation. Chris has a good energy about him, and he is a careful listener. I was surprised by how quickly what he did worked to remove tension, slow my breathing and heart rate and generally helped to make my outlook very positive. Who doesn't want that?

I knew I was suffering from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), but put off doing anything about it in…read morepart due to concern about the expense. Googling led me to read that a sleep study - required to investigate the condition - can run $5000. I first investigated Pacmed; their promoting their sleep studies as using a luxury downtown hotel heightened my concern that this procedure would be a high-margin procedure used to milk me and/or my insurance coverage. My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Chang. He efficiently and inexpensively confirmed my concern via a single office visit, followed immediately by a sleep study conducted right in his Burien office suite. Total billed costs: Office visit: $325 Lab work: $398 Sleep study: $2800 Spendy, but not as high as I'd feared. Anyone out there who suspects they are suffering from a sleep disorder has probably determined through Google that these rates are reasonable.

I have seen Dr. Valpey, Dr. Chang's partner at Highline Sleep Disorder Center. The doctor is great!…read moreI really liked that he offered options other than just using my BiPAP (which gives me anxiety and then I can't sleep). And he wanted to test for some other stuff besides complex sleep apnea, which I had already been Dx'd with at Creekside Sleep Medicine. He confers with Dr. Chang, so it made me feel confident that there were two very smart people working on my case, and I felt hopeful for the first time in a few years. The main problem here is the sleep facility. When I came in for the sleep study I was severely disappointed in the room, especially the bed!! It's located in the newer building next to Highline Community Hospital, so I had assumed it would be a cozier atmosphere than a sterile hospital. It was not cozy at all! And the Sleep Number bed was so unbearably hard and uncomfortable, I could not fall asleep that night! I didn't realize that Sleep Number beds are basically just air mattresses. Letting the air out doesn't make it any softer. I don't think the bed would be so bad if they added those foam egg crate things to them. What a waste of money!! Now, I don't qualify for another sleep study for a whole year (because of my insurance) and we didn't get good info on my disorder. I would like to continue to see Dr. Valpey & Dr. Chang, but I can't possibly sleep at that facility.

I have worked with and been a patient with more doctors than I care to recall. Some docs punch the clock and get you through to the next provider you need to see. That is not Dr. Betteridge. He not only talks to you, he listens. He is concerned with what your needs are. I saw Dr. Betteridge to have some steroids injected into my gnarly bones some would call elbows. He spent as much time as he needed to find out why I was there and what the plan was for my care going forward. At my second time seeing him for steroid injections I talked to him about other issues I had and what my symptoms were and I asked if he was able to help me. He was honest and forthright and said he was not the best person for me to see and immediately sent in a referral request for me to see someone who was in the GHC network who was better suited to assess my health issues. Dr. Betteridge is a rare individual who is truly concerned about his patients and will do what needs to be done to see that they get the care they need. He also reminded me that if I see at doctor at the U that I still have the right to see anyone else that I think I need to see, so that I get all the information I need before I go under the surgeon's knife. I don't give many 5 star reviews but Dr. Betteridge deserves this. If I could have him as my primary care provider I would make that happen ASAP. If you need to have steroid injections into your joints you really need to get in to see Dr. Betteridge. He is what everyone wants a doctor to be.
