I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon since I had been having a hankering for a slice of pizza. I rarely ever crave pizza! My single slice was a nice portion and I enjoyed the supreme pizza overall. I would have preferred just a tad bit more sauce. The service was nice and friendly. The inside dining space has low lights and really felt like what I envision an Italian family's home to feel like. Currently, they aren't selling alcohol. They offer daily specials Mon- Fri. I plan to return soon to try some other menu items.

At first glance, we were not impressed. It dated decor and there were no customers in sight. But the manager created us and took our order. He was very nice and informative of the menu. They do offer pizza by the slice at any time of the day. A plus if you just need a quick snack. They appear to serve Napoleon style pizza, so it was looking up. We ordered a large olive oil based, cheese with pepperoni and pineapple. I know it sounds weird but it's our favorite. Each pizza is custom made to order so it took a few minutes to be served. But the advantage was it was piping hot straight to the table. Olive oil was slightly sweet and tangy. Cheese was fresh and tasty. Toppings were perfect. Crust was crispy brown on undercarriage with nice crunch. Edges were crispy on outside and fluffy on inside. Manager suggested their balsamic dressing to dip the crust in, so we gave it a try. Highly recommended! It was a great choice! And of course, the Diet Coke was on point! Great customer service! Good pizza! We will definitely be back!

Free parking. Spacious parking lot…read more My first time here with my cousins for dinner. They love this spot and I'm glad I got the chance to try it. Everyone was courteous from the time we entered the restaurant until the time we walked back out the door. The space held a nice, low-lit ambiance. Italian decor and pictures graced the walls. The food was delicious . I wish the bread were toasted a little. Then that would have been a great starter for our dinner.

What given a menu with the oyster special. On ALL the table the had a sign stating they had oysters. Guess what!? They didn't have any oysters. The waitress had to come back and apologize and said they had crab claws if that worked. Guess what?! No crab claws. I mean gezz. At least make sure you have the replacement of the replacement for an item you don't have. Food wise, the bread they give you were rocks. Stale! The calamari was fried to oblivion! The beef ravioli was decent but the Alfredo sauce for the gnocchi was broken. Looked like when you warmed up Alfredo in the microwave. I was so done with the meal and wanted to leave but we talked about a cannoli all day so when I order a cannoli for dessert guess what?! NO CANNOLI! Don't go

And its "dark" presence makes me happy, the music is calming--giving a ballroom vibe, and the table I sat at gave a very fascinating view of the entire place. Super romantic atmosphere! Wear a little glitz so you shine for your man in the dim romantic light! Heavy curtains, cozy booths, expensive artwork with special indirect lighting, and exquisite 5 star service and food combine to make a memorable evening. When your salad fork comes properly chilled and you are served immediately with complimentary bruschetta, one realizes Amore is no regular restaurant! I had slightly spicy Italian sausage and mushroom pesto pasta and hubby had Shrimp Alfredo. Both were excellent. They included generous serving of green salad which had nice additions to the lettuce with house made vinegarette. The bread was fabulous also, offered with olive oil and spices. The location of Amore is a lovely two story strip center, so it is a bit of a hidden jewel. We had barely saved room for a special dessert next door! We drove the short distance to Cedar Lane leading to the precious little Italian village ( Villagio Colafrancesco) hidden in the woods to the right of the shopping center with Amore. Park behind the strip center. Check hours as usually only open on Thurs, Fri and Saturday but this is the way to end a most romantic evening! Tiny lights and a gorgeous restored farmhouse complete the village with its Italian coffee shop and the best gelato outside of Italy. They even have some nondairy sorbet. Tell your lady to bring a large shawl in case it's chilly inside ( no low cut or super short dresses allowed as this is run by a Catholic group that has a large farm not far away. That provides organic milk and cheese and meat which they also sell. Don't miss their Sistine Chapel style painted rest room too!

We were trying to decide what we wanted to eat, and I was able to make a reservation for nine at North Italia, which was surprising to me, but I guess the time that we went which was about 4 o'clock it was not that busy. I actually have the same server I had when I was in there December for a Christmas brunch. Nichole L. Was our server and she was very attentive and did give us some good suggestions on dishes. However, because there were nine of us, she had mentioned that they don't usually split up the bill however, she spoke to her manager was able to do so. I don't understand why this restaurant has this policy. It makes it difficult to go out in a group. There was an 18% gratuity added to our bill, but it was up to you if you wanted to add to it or get rid of it, I added to the tip. I got the chicken Parmesan, which I had had in the past. It was delicious as always, and I split it into two different meals. I will definitely be back here sooner than later

We all agreed beforehand that we wanted to try a new place that felt pretty relaxed and had outdoor seating. This place gave everything, plus some! We didn't have to wait long for a table, and our waiter was very attentive & knowledgeable about the menu. He answered all of our questions & helped me decide what to order. The outdoor seating is spacious & it was nice to hear the live music coming from a neighboring business. My friends got the Goofy Foot drink & said that it was good but definitely on the stronger side w/the tequila. I opted for a glass of Riesling, it was delicious & paired perfectly with my meal. We didn't get any appetizers. I ordered the fish of the day: Red Snapper w/a Sweet Pea, Tomato & Saffron Risotto 20/10 I always judge food on whether it's "first bite" good & every piece on my plate passed the test. One of my friends chose the Smoked Salmon Pizza, which I was a bit skeptical about at first, but I tried a slice & it was so good. Definitely an out of the ordinary pizza combo that made me rethink all the ways smoked salmon can be used. Another friend ordered the Grilled Ribeye w/Brussel Sprouts & Mashed Potatoes, she loved it! The espresso martinis were also delicious. I wanted a cannoli for dessert but they were sold out, unfortunately. Overall, I'll definitely be returning b/c the food, pricing & atmosphere are all worth the drive. Can't wait to try the lunch menu next!

The meatballs were incredibly tender and exactly what I was looking for. My only minor critique is that the spaghetti was a bit overcooked and leaned towards mushy, whereas I usually prefer it al dente. Even so, it absolutely satisfied the craving. The atmosphere is comfortable and casual, right on the edge of a good dive status, which I really enjoyed. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm traveling through the Birmingham area.
