Impact-X is an awesome gym that offers a great workout environment without the crowds of big commercial gyms. It's well-equipped with everything you need including strength training equipment, cables, barbells, bumper plates, etc. There is no shortage of options for whatever exercise program you are on. I've used the equipment for everything from Olympic lifts to powerlifting to circuit training. What further sets Impact-X apart is the recovery center where you can cold plunge, sauna, and use the recovery boots. I've used these multiple times and they help me recover and prepare for my next workout. The staff and trainers are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping members reach their goals. I put in my 30 day notice. I was charged for 45 days and when I inquired about a refund for the additional 15 days and asked about seeing the contract I initially signed, the responses were defensive and verging on rude. Long before the 45 days I paid for were over, they cut many classes which made my membership useless. I was told to see if I could track down the prior owner for a refund. Impact-X charged my credit card and now they are telling me to track down someone not connected with Impact-X. Wow!!! Super disappointing. read more

I've been a member of this gym for 10 years, and it's sad to see what it has become. What was once a welcoming, fun environment has been ruined by poor management decisions. With Amanda and multiple trainers leaving, the sense of community that made this gym special is gone. Even more concerning is that some classes are being taught by individuals who are not certified. Classes are also canceled last minute, or not communicated at all, so members often show up only to find there's no class. The people and leadership make or break a gym, and unfortunately this one is no longer being run in a way that respects its members. read more

LEADERSHIP HAS CHANGED! NOT FOR THE BETTER! I have been a member for 8 1/2 years. I have received training 2 to 3 times a week. In my opinion, impact X is FAILING. Skilled professionals as well as countless members are leaving. Impact X has resorted to dangerous and manipulative practices in my opinion. This is an update to my previous post. In two weeks, I will be coming on my first anniversary with this home away from home. It blows my mind the difference I see in myself from a year ago. After only a few months of attending Mo-mentum, I set a goal to compete in a powerlifting competition. This is something that I never imagined myself doing, but with the support of the momentum staff, especially the weightlifting coach Steve Mittleman, Amanda Mittleman guiding me on nutrition, and the encouragement and support of the other members of the gym, I am proud to say my first powerlifting competition was a success! It was an amazing experience and I recommend it for anyone interested in getting strong and setting a goal to help motivate strength progress. The most amazing part about the competition was the number of members who came out to support me and cheer me on--fellow gym members that I had lonely known since my short tenure here. In short, when you join momentum, you join a haven for your dreams, a guiding light for your goals, and endless encouragement 2 excel beyond the bounds of your mental limitations. The members here are more than just familiar faces like the ones you encounter in a big box gym... they've become family. We may be a small gym, but we have big hearts and really caring souls. I hate working out and then I joined Mo-Mentum. Of all the gyms and yoga/dance studios where I've exercised, Mo-Mentum is a standout in how personal and driven the culture feels. You feel like you are working out with family (in a good way) - the trainers know you by name, people stay after class to chat with each other, there is a "dream" board filled with positive goals and reminders, a motto is "release your inner superhero" etc. The entire vibe is energetic and fun. INSTRUCTION The classes and trainers are intense (Exhibit A: They have classes titled "Military Bootcamp" and "HIIT & Run." Exhibit B: Mon - Fri, their classes start at 5:30 am), but the trainers don't lose sight of having fun (ex. Friday afternoons there is a class called "Happy Hour"). So far, I've attended three classes (Barre, Piloxing, Power Yoga) multiple times each. Each experience has been incredibly challenging, and I inevitably walk away feeling like I truly pushed my boundaries and accomplished something. ENVIRONMENT The studio is tucked in a strip mall kitty-corner from the Wells Fargo. Parking is plentiful and free. The studio feels spacious because of the two+ story ceilings; the lighting is great because of the skylights. I have been a member of Mo-Mentum Fitness since they opened. The owner Amanda is amazing! She inspires me to work my hardest while providing me with holistic support. I started my fitness journey with her right before I became pregnant with twins. Her team modified my workouts so that I could continue to safely workout while pregnant.
