**AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM REVIEW**…read more My son was signed up for the after school program 3x a week here at Fun 2B Fit for only 2-3 months, and he loved it! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The staff picked him up from school in a van and took him to the gym. The after school program ends at 6pm, but the staff is more than willing to work with you if you are running late so long as you give them notice. The after school teachers provide you with their personal numbers so you can text or call when you need to. This came in handy for the few times we had to change plans at the last minute. There's a separate area for the after school kids upstairs. The space is functional. They have designated areas for children to place their belongings (backpack, shoes, jacket, etc). They also have ample tables and chairs as well as games, including a TV and iPads. Every afternoon, they give the students a snack and make sure they do their homework before playing. This has been very helpful for our busy family! Once they're finished with their homework, they can play downstairs at the gym or stay upstairs, depending on the gymnastics schedule for the day. My son has been a competitive gymnast for almost 5 years. However, last year he decided he no longer wanted to continue, but still wanted to retain his skills and play on the equipment. Although he doesn't have access to all the equipment during his after school program time, he was able to use some of the equipment like trampoline, rope, etc which he really enjoyed. We have been very pleased with our experience at Fun 2B Fit!

Love this place! Great coaches! Great facility! My daughter has really excelled in her skills!read more

She has been on the half year program under coach Lisa for the last 2 years. We were so excited to find out Coach Lisa would be her coach again because she genuinely cares about her athletes and invests in their success. Coach Lisa has always been very organized and prompt in her responses to my questions throughout the season. It takes a very patient person to lead teams of 20-30 girls! The half year program overall has been a great introduction to cheer. Every time my daughter is presented with an opportunity to go to a different gym, she continues to want to come back to Charlotte Allstars because the coaches treat her like family and she has a sense of belonging. We have always loved the family culture at this gym!

I'm not sure it is worth the cost but a decent introduction to cheer. She was consistently placed at the end of pyramids to lift other girls which I wish she had the chance to be rotated. My few interactions with Lisa Chambers, half year program director, have not been customer friendly. She was adamant about a 7 year old girl not wearing leggings during the winter season for practice (when it was 40 degrees outside or lower). With back and forth emails to document the conversation. My husband had to call personally to ensure the message got across! Additionally, my last interaction asking a simple question was quickly brushed off without answering the actual question. We won't be returning next fall.

Went to the adult tumbling class today..this was just a recipe for disaster. If you want to see…read moresomeone break a leg or get kicked in the head this is your place. To start there were at least 30 people in the class, with 1 coach. Having been a gymnast in the past, I know how important safety & caution is in a gymnasium. Not a single rule or cautionary measure was explained at start of class while many of the attendees had never been in a facility before. First 30 mins was stretching & warm ups, including people throwing extremely dangerous moves including front tucks with no effort to stop potential injury after multiple disastrous executions. At one point the coach even said "you all signed a waiver", seeming to not care if anyone was hurt. Second half of class was a free for all with all of the gymnastic stations...although it wasn't possible for the 1 coach to monitor everyone, she didn't even try and instead practiced her own tumbling. There was no cool down stretching. This felt like a cash grab, won't be back.

WAYYYYY too many times I had to check someone else's child becasue their parents failed to do so. Parents sit in the car or are too busy on their phones and laptops. They treat this place like a drop in daycare. The amount of times I've seen a brat harass my child and nothing was done is ridiculous. My child simply wants to learn a cartwheel. One simple thing. I even paid for privates. Yet nothing. It appears you have to be a certain color or have the same views as the people who work there in order for your kid to advance to the next level or else your kid is just there for fun, not to learn and grow in their craft. They mainly cater towards white boys and push the black girls to the side. Ive seen the girls team practice and the boys team practice and the boys get more instruction and conditioning than the girls. It's a shame because the girls are all black, I wonder how it would be if the girls were white.
