The store still feels fairly new, and the staff has been great with helping find the perfect item and professional the whole time. They have inept employees on the phone that are never going to be able to help you when they are rude and will hang up on you. Eventually that's going to lead to a payment not getting paid and your credit getting hit. I have over 10 credit cards and never had a problem with any of them and I pay them all off every month and this trash has now hurt my credit because they make it impossible for you to get through and talk to somebody that knows what they're doing never use their credit card. When told that she had to provide payment due to being the person buying the handgun, we purchased a E-Giftcard as told by an Academy Team Member and left the store to attend an event because it takes an hour or more for the E-Giftcard email to arrive. We went back to the same store to complete the process and pickup the handgun, only to be told the Team Member had flagged us for leaving the store and "ASSUMING" we were going to try to go to other Academy stores to attempt and purchase a handgun with me providing the payment method. We wasted a lot of our time dealing with this experienced. Not only did we did as we were advised to due by the Academy Team Member, but now my girlfriend is on the ban list for 31 days to an assumption made by the Academy Team Member...This was definitely a bad shopping experience!

No reason 3 employees should be in an aisle just standing and talking. Makes it's hard to shop for shoes, tried waiting for them to move, but they were there for a good 15-20 mins so kinda sucks.
