The staff is courteous, polite, kind, have…read morean excellent bedside manner, knowledgeable, they care about your comfort and see you as a person. They also pay the highest for your plasma. I have never had any issues with any of the staff. If you have to deal with management, they do not view you as a person. You're paperwork to them. They do not care about the comfort of the donor nor the recipients of the plasma. They will make things hard and be assholes. They like to hide their asshole ways behind corporate policy which is also a crock of shit. When you're honest with them while having a discussion, you'll be met with a condescending fake ass smile and a phrase saying "I understand how you feel" which basically means I didn't hear a word you said and I don't give a shit. I had the unpleasant experience of dealing with them on three separate incidents. I would recommend this place based on staff, they pay the highest and you're helping to save lives by donating your plasma. If you have to deal with management, be aware their real douchebags. Me and my plasma will go to a different location. Fifty dollars isn't worth my dignity and taking shit from assholes. Legal name is Amy Lehman.

They just changed their policy to where…read moreinstead of everyone contribute the same amount of plasma, they now base it on weight/height with the original amount being the bare minimal you can donate. I feel like those that donate more should get more. Say you have everyone working on an assembly line for the same flat rate. And then you noticed there are three people that are stockier and can get more work done. If you are going to demand more from them, than wouldn't you give them more pay as well? Same concept. Please consider this in the future.

I highly encourage donating platelets, whole blood, or red blood cells. If local hospitals have sufficient supplies on hand, your donation will make it to other areas where they are needed, and you will be alerted if you have your email address in their systen if this is the case. Platelets take about 3hrs, and they have (4) beds which depending upon the day of the week, are sometimes full. It is important to make an appointment, and if you are unable to make your appointment free up that slot by contacting them and cancel or switch to another time you can make it. Encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to make a donation.

The person I spoke to said they can't see me today and they cannot make an appointment for a future time, she said I could try again and maybe they can take my donation but maybe they can't, she doesn't know. I would have to see if other people miss their appointment, but how did they get that appointment?? How does anyone get an appointment if all the signs and mailers about walk in donations are untrue??

I have to say how great full I am for Paige and Michelle at Anniston ImmunoTek. I have been giving…read morefor quite some time and haven't had any problems until I went in the other day much earlier than usual and I hadn't eaten anything. I thought it would be fine because I had given so many times without a problem, but it wasn't fine. I suddenly started feeling very hot and dizzy and sick. I called out to Paige who immediately stopped what she was doing and calmly came over to me and started to put my feet up and ice packs on me to cool me down. She was very calm talking to me and very sweet. She realized that I wasn't calming down and had Michelle (a nurse) come out and start working to cool me down and calm me down. Michelle calmly explained what was going on and that I should start cooling off very soon. They both stayed right there talking to me and reassuring me until my blood and fluids went in and I was better. It was a very scary situation that was made better by two very professional and supportive people. Michelle even called first thing the next morning to check on me and make sure that I was doing ok. I have been back since without issue (because I now know to go well fed and hydrated) but will forever know that if an issue does arise I will be well taken care of. I can't say enough about the staff at the Anniston center and how well trained and nice everyone is.
