Immediately after walking through the door the first time, I experienced a terrific sense of well being. Just being in the shop felt good. The man behind the counter, his name was Devin I think, was very friendly and personable but most importantly, he was very knowledgeable about the ginger infused elixirs and other products in the store. After a couple of tastings we purchased a few bottles, and left. I've been back several times since and each time it feels like coming home. The selection of natural food and teas is top notch and that would be reason enough to shop there but the vibe makes it a Hudson Valley destination of the highest caliber. I've already started shopping for the holidays there and I highly recommend the experience. Ask for Liz and Corinna if you really want to put a bow on it all!

Besides my weekly supermarket runs for the usual fridge and pantry basics elsewhere, Mother Earth,…read moreat the Kings Mall in Kingston, NY goes beyond the usual organic veg. I know I could easily run to Vitamin Shoppe for my fish oil, rosehip oil, sea moss or natural hair and beauty products- but honestly, I'd rather keep supporting Mother Earth . Every so often when I'm catching up with other shops in Kings Mall, I come here to stock up on a few things. While prices are on the high side, the selections make it worth it. When I stopped by recently, I got one of their smoothies, which was super delicious. They also have nice fresh-pressed juice, pastries and hot meal menus. Bigger applause for catering to Vegans and Vegetarians as well. Mother Earth feels like a one-stop shop. The shelves are filled with everything from supplements and herbs to skincare and unique natural products I won't find in any store- not even Vitamin Shoppe. The environment is warm, earthy and inviting- and can tell they care about what they offer.

The variety and quality of their stock is good, and the store is spacious and appealing. Some of…read morethe pricing however, is unconscionable, especially with Adam's and several large supermarkets in close proximity. For example, a quart of Fage Best Self Lactose Free yogurt can be purchased at Price Chopper for $7.99. At Mother Earth, it is sold for $14.49. A pint of organic blueberries sold today for almost $10 as opposed to under $6 at Adams, and the ones at Adams are larger and plumper. I expect higher prices at a market specializing in organic foods, but the disparity makes this store out of reach except for a few of the hardest to find products.

Uniqlo (!!!), in their LifeWear magazine, described Sharkie's as "a meatball restaurant that sends…read morea fine aroma out into the street." The Japanese clothing retailer is scarily on point and while Sharkie's isn't mentioned by name, if you know of any other prominent meatball merchants in the heart of Woodstock, please promptly let me know. My current go-to is the "Create Your Meatballs with Veggies Bowl." The roasted eggplant ($5.15 per scoop) is superb, especially with the default marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella ($2.58). You can't go wrong with the beef & pork or the turkey meatballs ($6.18 for 2 of the same kind). Chicken meatballs and chickpea vegan balls available too. The only downside is that it can get zoo-like at peak times, but the wait usually isn't too bad. Sharkie's has a bar and three tables so it's not huge. But the easygoing and helpful staff are standouts and handle the crowds with aplomb. Sharkie's has a little grocery store next door with a lot of local foods and frozen meatballs if you want to recreate the Sharkie's experience at home. Bring cash or a debit card for a discount!

really cute spot with so much potential!…read more great service! we sat right at the counter. the house beer was 2 options, and altho i wouldnt order this again, it wasn't bad and the label was cute. i grabbed the sundied tomatoe and chickpea meat(less)balls. i really wanted to like these, but unfortunately they were less than par. they would not stay together, they were too mooshy and fell apart. hopefully they can work on a better biding agent. the flavor was okay. there was plenty of sauce. unfortunately they dont give you bread for the excess sauce. we ordered the bread for the side and i think this was a $6 charge. i guess they figure u can just order the sandwich, but i ordered the bread because there was just so much sauce involved in the meatballs. my date got the regular meatballs and he was pleased. happy to see theres another option for me to try on the menu - the chicken meatballs. would give this place another shot while in town to try them.

Great vegetarian options and gluten free options for cakes. The blueberry olive oil cake and apple cake were both delicious, super moist and soft-- the crumbly top was delicious and not too sweet. The egg salad sandwich with arugula was very tasty-- the artisanal bread was fresh and the egg salad was so creamy and savory. It also comes on round milk bread. Love how the sandwiches come in half and full portions making it easy to try different ones. We also tried the curried carrot, sprouts, and cream cheese sandwich was equally delicious and fresh-- a great vegetarian option. The ham and Gruyère sandwich with sundried tomato aioli was excellent-- thick slices of ham and cheese, really well-balanced and satisfying. Friendly owner who makes these delicious sandwiches throughout the day. Can't wait to go back! There is a small round indoor table for seating for a few people but most of it is for take out, which we happily did.
