My initial thought was to hire Brian to see if he could fix the URC control system installed in my home. He not only fixed the URC system but wound up installing a new sound system and speakers. I had a terrible experience which lasted for years and years with a sound / control / wireless system installer who left me with a URC system that was unworkable and constantly dropping off the network. Every wireless device in the house constantly lost their ip address. After years of spending a lot of money and switching between different internet providers, switches, modem's and equipment I decided to give Brian a try and I am so glad I did. He was able to correct all the previous ip protocol issues that were screwed up. It took no time at all and, after years and years of frustration my problems went away. Brian is knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, creative and skilled. He replaced the in-wall speakers with hidden speaker's, and installed a new receiver. He removed redundant equipment I never needed. The sound system is incredible and it makes me enjoy watching movies and listening to music even more. I appreciate Brian for his excellent service and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a sound system installer who knows what he is doing. Brian helped me plan and then install a living room home theater system for my new home. I knew the dimensions of the room meant I needed a screen larger than any flat-panel that's readily available -- about 120" --which meant two-piece projection (screen+projector). I initially reached out to Brian to help me understand the feasibility and potential quality of a two-piece projection theater system in a room with a decent amount of ambient (natural) light. Brian worked up a complete proposal for my theater system: 120" Black Diamond Zero Edge ambient-light-rejecting screen, Epson 6030UB projector, Paradigm Prestige speakers, Anthem receiver, installation, etc -- everything needed for a more or less top-of-the-line setup. We worked together over the next few weeks to refine the proposal and make sure each of the components were exactly what I needed. We definitely could have moved faster if I wanted, but I took my time to research and really understand everything involved. I wasn't originally anticipating how expensive quality audio hardware is (counterintuitively, it is more than video equipment), so I asked Brian to work up alternative proposals that were still high-quality, but a bit less expensive. In the end, I decided on the original, highest-quality proposal, but Brian did a great job of providing a gamut of options, all of which would have performed excellently. A few weeks later, when it came to installation, that's when Brian really started to shine. This guy is a *perfectionist*, and that is exactly what you want and need for a pristine theater. The installation took two days (and involved a complex projector ceiling mount, wiring speakers through the crawl space beneath the floor, etc). Went without a hitch. I'm a really picky customer, and I'm thrilled with the quality of the installation. Calibration and "post install customer service" is where Brian earns 150% of this 5-star rating, however. Brian came back to my house to perfect the screen / audio calibration and answer questions I had -- twice. In total, he spent an extra 12 or so hours tweaking and calibrating my system to perfection -- all above and beyond the initial quote of labor/install time. In the end, I couldn't be happier with the theater system I have now. The picture is immersive and unbelievably high quality, the sound is ridiculously beautifully detailed, and the installation is seamless. I used Brian recently to set-up my home theater/ speakers. I had my own amp/ speakers etc so needed him just for the wiring and set-up. Brian was meticulous, diligent and took great pains to make sure the set-up was neat, concealed and based on my preferences. His work was excellent: from helping us select what to order, to ordering some of the items, to their proper installation, and, best of all!, checking in with us after the fact to make sure everything was A OK. As a matter of fact, recently we had two issues he expertly solved for us: some Samsung software that wouldn't download properly, and our TV not working after moving some furniture around. He patiently troubleshooted over the phone and willingly offered to make a house call if need be. In both cases the problems were solved over the phone. He's a great guy and does terrific work.
