I switched my health insurance in the middle of the year and had to get a new primary care physician. My husband had seen Dr. Palmer at the ImmediCenter in Bloomfield and had a good experience. Dr. Palmer is great. She was thorough with the initial consult and was very knowledgeable about travel medicine. After explaining that I had an upcoming trip to India and had bad experiences with food poisoning in the recent past to other destinations, she gave me prescriptions and advice. I also was able to confirm and update my vaccinations. Everything I needed was called into my local pharmacy and available for pick up. Their patient portal makes it easy to keep your medical records all in one place, although admittedly I had a problem finding the the tab to convert them to PDF and print them. My only complaint is that I found it annoying that I spent 5 minutes completing a patient questionnaire, only to be asked the same exact questions again in the exam room by the nurse. This is a waste of time and paper. I am glad that I finally found a local primary care physician who is nice, competent, and local. Hooray! read more

This place always looks like it needs to be cleaned. The office workers are slow and rude. The doctors are just putting in time. I have actually been sent away and told to go to the hospital ER for a simple skin cut that I wanted someone to look at and maybe order an antibiotic. (It was not even infected.) I went in because my blood pressure meds are too strong and making me dizzy. I requested blood work. When I refused a covid test, the doctor, who referred to herself as "tameeka" told me that I wasn't gonna tell her what tests I needed. Actually, I am. I'm the patient. Terrible experience. My husband and I have been coming to the Immedicenter in Bloomfield for over 10 years now. I have found them to be reliable, accommodating, friendly and professional. So much so, that a few years ago we both made Dr. Susan Palmer our Primary Care Physician! This place is not a "doc in the box" type of urgent care. I've been to this location twice. The first time was back in January. I waited 1.5 hours to see the nurse. No doctor. I asked several times to see a doctor, they kept telling me that the doctor didn't need to come to the room. Gave me a flu test, positive, I was on my way. Not the worst experience but upset that I waited 1.5 hours and couldn't see a doctor. I was so sick I just didn't have the energy to care more at the time. Yesterday, September, I went for the second time. I first called and explained to them I thought I might have a stomach ulcer and would like to make an appointment. After asking SEVERAL times if I can make an appointment they kept saying no you have to walk in. I did. I waited for TWO AND A HALF HOURS just to get into the room. Then waited another twenty minutes for the doctor. Just for the doctor to inform me they basically couldn't do anything and I would have to come back to take a test another day. They then wanted to draw blood. Gave me a brand new nurse who pricked my arm for twenty minutes while asking me things like "should I use this vein?" What?! How am I supposed to know?! My veins were so constricted bc I was so dehydrated. I asked- can I please reschedule so you aren't sticking me with needles for no reason? She said no we have to try to stick you at least. 30 minutes later, two nurses, and BOTH ARMS. They finally got the blood. When I made an appointment to come back for the test they told me first appointment wasn't for another entire month. Are you kidding me? This place is USELESS and WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I would rather pay to go to an emergency room than come here. Wasted my time and day and energy. Honestly left crying because I was so physically weak and defeated. The entire staff is also rude, entitled, act like every patient is bothering them, and WERE NOT ALL WEARING FACEMASKS!!!!!!!!!! If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

I was sent here by my surgeon for an Endoscopy. I arrived early, waited for well over 1 hour to see the doctor. Doctor seems to want me to get all these other tests (of course at their affiliates) before I even get the procedure. Dr. kept saying "we want to be thorough". Had me do some kind of breath test. When the nurse brought it in I asked what was in the drink I had to drink "I don't know". So you want me to drink a clear substance out of a cup but don't know what's in it. I just felt the place was very scammy. Advertisements all over for botox and cosmetic procedures. Office was very very antiquated. Exam room was out dated and had a huge tube tv in it for some reason. I still haven't gotten the procedure yet, but honestly I don't want this place doing it. New patient and annual appointment for 10:30 am, request to arrive 30 minutes early for paperwork, wasn't taken back for an hour and 30 minutes, then waited longer in the room. Total 3 hours from scheduled appointment for an annual/physical. How this can happen with zero communication on time delays I have no idea. PITY I could only give 5 stars, this place deserves 50 in my humble opinion. First, for all you rude nasty people that for what ever reason think that your issue should have been dealt with in seconds....you need to Google 'TRIAGE" Medicine always work on this principle. First time I have the pleasure of coming to the urgicare center I checked in about 5 minutes after that a person with head trauma walked in the door. I was put in the waiting area, HE was immediately taken to an exam room to be seen IMMEDIATELY by a physician. When I was called back to be seen, the staff member actually apologized for having me wait. Secondly, this is a 'walk-in' clinic. At worst, I think I have been in and out in less than three hours! Even when I had a private stand alone physician and called for an appointment on the same day....I have never been told to come now. Usually had to wait hours before they would even let me come to the office. and even then, I think in and out in 1-2 hours was the best that was ever accomplished. Thirdly, YOU do not know what the staff is handling back in the exam rooms. I, personally, have been having severe anxiety with severe panic attacks. So the average doctor under our current health system is being pushed to see patient quickly and efficiently then move on to the next patient. I think the expectation now is under 10 minutes. But NOT ONE of the medical staff at this urgicare center has EVER rushed with me. Dr. S. Palmer last time spent at least 20 minutes working to diagnose my anxiety and developing a plan to deal with it. This was return visit to see how I was doing. I can't even recall how much time she and her staff spent with me on my frist visit as I was so anxious the passage of time was irrelevant. Fourth, the entire staff was extremely with me and accommodating to my needs. Frankly, right now. an exam room at this urgicare center is about the only place I feel completely and totally safe. Lastly, while in the waiting area, I have been utterly and completely disgusted with the way the staff here has been treated by some. I don't care who you are or what your problems are: NOBODY ever deserves to be treated the way some people treat the staff here! People always say New Yorkers are mean and nasty. But from my observation in this urgicare center, I think the world is mistaken. read more

Just upsetting. I went there a few months ago when I didn't have health insurance. I had had ringworm for over a month and a half, it was all over my body. The worst case I'd ever seen, I wish I took a picture (I had no idea how contagious it was). The doctor I saw gave me a horribly hard time about treating me, as if the meds were an abused drug (yeast infection meds treat ringworm). I paid $120 for the visit and $50 for the prescription. Then when I somehow got it again the doctor would not renew my prescriptions without a follow up visit. Sorry to tell you, SIR, but your an emergency clinic Doctor YOU SHOULD HELP PEOPLE! This is a disgustingly slow and aggravating drs office to go to! I cant understand for the life of me how they still have patients coming here. Ive never waited so long in a doctors office in my entire life. The staff are allover the place, not communicating with eachother so they end up asking you the same thing you just explained to someone else SEVERAL TIMES!!! Zero stars. I walked in and was seen by " Matt" who rushed me through an exam because they were close to closing time on a Friday. Based on listening to my lungs he concluded that its either bronchitis or pneumonia but " can't be certain". He then prescribed be an antibiotic linked to tendonitis and tendon tears (Levaquin).I called the next day have the prescription changed as I have had bad reactions to levaquin and didn't realize that was what he prescribed until I picked it up. I did not have a good experience here at all. I did not have my insurance card so I had my girlfriend send me a copy of a proof of insurance letter. All of the details were there, account number, group number, plan id etc. Woman behind the counter said, "oh, I can't open the email until Monday." After all of this rigmarole, she hands me docs to fill out and looks annoyed. There were three people in the room when I arrived Saturday before Easter. Slow patient intake do I left and returned to the Clifton office. I waited in the Clifton office for over an hour to be taken although, on Easter Sunday not many people were there. They have great hours. However, it's best to make an appointment, if possible, to minimize your wait time. Staff is pretty friendly, especially the nurses and doctors. Much friendlier than the other local Immedicenter locations. The doctor's I've seen have all been great: listened, took their time, and had great bedside manners. Avoid this practice like the plague. Avoid all of these practices. There are plenty of critical care practices that are far better. This practice used to be my regular physician, my primary caretaker. At one point, there was a mix up with my medical insurance because I had left my job a few days after my last appointment. I had new insurance but my card had been misplaced. Remember, this was my primary physician. I did not have an option to go elsewhere. They did have my daughters insurance on file and could have easily checked to see if I was covered, but "We don't do that". They refused to see me unless I paid the medical bill that my old company insurance had not paid and for the appointment that day, even though I was fully insured both times and was also nearly flat broke. I refused to pay for the first appointment and ended up paying for the appointment that day. I had to fight for it. They literally had me in tears. Although I had been going there for many years, they treated me like a criminal who was there to rip them off. I would never go near an ImmediCenter again. I've had much better doctors, as you can see from my other reviews. I've had doctors who genuinely cared about their patients. This practice is about making money, period. read more

***The whole 5-minute simple operation for a blood test, it took me two hours. I am not going back there. I will ask them to move my medical records to other center.*** For a scheduled blood test at 11 am, I had to wait for about one hour until everyone is not in the waiting room. I saw another old couple complained about their wait time too. They said they had the appointment. Then about 10 minutes wait after I have seen by the nurse. When the nurse asked me if I have any complain, I said "nothing except I need to complain about the wait time here." Even so, still I have to wait for another 20 minutes until a new doctor came to see me after her lunch. I don't know why they were so busy even there were not many patients. The new doctor is nice and want to take care of me right away so I can leave. She said that she didn't know why no one has taken care of me already. I had to joke that "I could have been dead" Even so, I waited for almost 3 weeks for my report. and I had to call the Immedicenter for the report. The automatic system asked me to leave a message if I am calling for the report. Then it has been 3 business days and the weekend and I still have not heard anything from them. Five more days, it will have been one month. And the more surprises came. I don't know how they charge my insurance company but they haven't forget about charging me. I saw "claims" that are much more than I had done in my previous same test. read more

I am a longtime patient here with Dr. Palmer. She is knowledgeable, listens, and demonstrates true concern to optimize my health regimen. She spends the time needed and I have never felt rushed. I'm quite happy with the overall care I receive. The patient portal is great for reviewing test results and communicating with your doctor. I always set up 'first-thing-in-the-morning' appointments, so I rarely have much of a wait. Because they provide a much-needed walk-in service, it's understandable that on high volume times like weekends there's a bit of a wait...much less than the extensive wait time at the emergency room. read more

Expect to be there 2 hours. Immedi does not stand for immediate. Arrived around 9am. Waited for an hour freezing with flu symptoms. Got called in at 10 to talk to the nurse assistant and be placed in a room. It was even colder in the room waited another 35 minutes. Physician assistant came in around 10:35. Then someone asked him to come talk to someone else. He stepped out for a few minutes and came back. Talked to me for a few minutes and I was headed out around 10:50. After paying co-pay. I spent just about 2 hours there freezing. Left feeling worse. This is closest to me but will probably drive to the Clifton location which has been better in the past. read more

Although there was a little bit of a wait, which is pretty standard for an urgent care, the ENTIRE staff was sooo nice and inviting the ENTIRE visit. it was honestly the best service I've received in a while. I've been using this facility since they opened a couple a decades ago. Although I have always had to wait, and the service really is fairly slow, I've always gotten what I consider to be very good care once I got into the door. It's mostly a no-appointment facility (although you can make an appointment if you want), I've met some wonderful, thorough doctors there throughout the years, and they have good equipment like a small lab, an EKG machine, XRay facilities, and now all their records are computerized. Would I prefer to get instant service? Sure. But I've waited just as long at other clinics so if I just walk in whenever I want to, I more or less have to expect to wait. And I've spent twice the time in a hospital emergency ward, so I am not too troubled by waiting at the Immedicenter. read more

I had a weird experience here. I had to go twice because my infection was not treated properly the first time. I experienced no wait in the waiting room both times. The first person who treated me was a physicians assistant. She didn't listen to me and had zero bedside manner. I can deal with that if she treated my issue properly. That was not the case. Three days later I was in agony and saw Dr Palmer who was very thorough and sweet. She treated my infection properly however did not give me anything for my pain. I eventually had to call my psych to help with the pain. He called in a numbing cream and after three days I finally had some relief. After two visits to this place I shouldn't have had to call a third doctor to address my pain. My advice is not to leave until all your needs are fully met and questions answered. This is not a terrible place but you have to be super proactive. If you do not trust what someone says to you, ask for another doctor. read more

Thoroughly disgusted. I went in on Wednesday, 8/29/12. I had no problem with waiting two hours as I didn't have an appointment. I also understood when the actual physician spent only 3 minutes with me. I knew I had an upper respiratory infection. He prescribed the usual 5 day antibiotic and some pearls (what he called them, looked like vitamin E) to suppress the cough. After 2 days of the pearls, I called the center back as I was having horrible headaches and nausea. I asked the nurse if they could prescribe something else without those side effects. She said that anything they could prescribe would have those effects and I should just get some over the counter medicine. I have taken many different prescription cough remedies over the years and none had caused these effects. I find it hard to believe that everything they could prescribe would behave the same way. I completed the 5 day antibiotic on 9/2/12 and was not much better. I knew I was in a wedding the following weekend so I called the center to refill the prescription. Their automated response stated that refills could only be made by pharmacy request. I called my pharmacy and set this up, being told that the prescription would be ready at 11 am on 9/5/12. I called several times that day and was told, by the pharmacy's automated response, that the prescription was being filled but was not ready yet. I waited another full day and called the pharmacy to speak with a human, thinking that it was the fault of the pharmacy that the prescription was not ready. I was told that they had left several messages with the Immedicenter, but the calls were not returned. I then called the Immedicenter myself and left a detailed messages, requesting a response either to myself or to the pharmacy. Nothing. So I went to the wedding, practically coughed up a lung walking down the aisle and having next to no voice to make my toast. Nice. I am still sick, so I called my pharmacy yet again two days ago to request the refill, which has now been completely forgotten. The center has yet to respond to the most recent requests. If you want to be treated like a dollar sign, then, by all means, give them a shot. I can only assume by this lack of service that the only thing the Immedicenter is interested in is billing the patient or insurance company. There is obviously nothing in it for them to provide any type of customer service to their patients. read more

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! I cannot stress enough how much you should avoid this location and take the few extra minutes to get taken care of at the Clifton Immedicenter location. The receptionists are rude, the nurses/medical assistants are extremely unfriendly and always have an annoyed look on their faces, and the doctors are unorganized and cold. The thing I hate the most about this location is the waiting time.. OMG the waiting time. Let's just say if you don't have an appointment and you walk-in, you will be waiting 3-4 hours to be taken in to an exam room and then another 30-45 minutes for the doctor to actually roll out their red carpet and show up in the room to exam you. And if you do make an appointment, it really doesn't matter because you will still be waiting about 1-2 hours after your appointment time and then another 20-30 minutes waiting in the exam room for the doctor to magically appear. The only reason I'm giving this establishment 2 stars is because they have given me a correct diagnosis a few times and helped me get rid of a few minor colds. Other than that, please by all means, avoid!!!!! read more

Medical center complacent in scam::Currently they are running "The Parking Lot Scam" Where, although you should not park there if you are not a patient, the NO PArKing sign is blocked by the PBS boot service truck, completely blocking the sign. So if you decide to park there because there was no :No Parking Sign the following occurs:There for 2 minutes and the guy boots your car wheel and then asks for $200 cash. The Crookville police allow the non front licensed truck full access to the roads and fall back to the civilian complaint routine. Imagine the scams they are running on the people who actually try to get in. read more

The employees there aren't even capable of reading an insurance card. My insurance clearly states quest laboratory. They send my blood work to labcorp. I get stuck with a $700 bill. They have their nurses doing the work a doctor just walks in ask if everything is OK and walks out. read more

My family has used both of the Immedicenters located in Bloomfield and Clifton ever since they have opened. Appointments are recommended but when that's not possible you can still be seen as a walk in that sameday. Appointments take priority over a walk in and depending on the amount of people that walked in ahead of you there will be a wait. The wait is still less than the local emergency room, their charges are less than the emergency room, plus you get a better quality of service and care. All the doctors, nurse practioners, physician assistants and nurses at the Bloomfield and Clifton offices are extremely compitent. As I stated in my review for the Clifton office, I wouldn't use them if they were incompetent. I never had a problem with the office staff either. Besides the ER where else can you just walk in and be treated 365 days a year without an appointment and still come out paying less than the ER. read more

I have never experienced such poor service at a medical facility with a front desk person who has the attitude fit for a clinic in a third world. Not only Dr Palmer but everyone else who works here sincerely needs to be shut down! We have gone through hell with them and the extreme lack of knowledge and professionalism. They had us tested for unnecessary stuff we didn't even request, messed up and send the exams to the wrong lab that fell out of our insurance coverage, and we had to deal with issues atop of issues for over a year now. They DO NOT CARE for you as a patient or as a individual! We had to file and further appeal with the insurance, and we won, yet Immedicenter has not honored this. They keep toying with you and do not work on geting things resolved. God forbid you have an issue with them, you will need to take plenty time off of work to settle things, and that's just unacceptable. There is never a manager around, she/he either comes in at noon, or leaves at 2, or at 3, or at 4 pm, or is just not there at all. You can almost never get to speak to someone in charge, guess there is no need to have someone in charge since there is nothing to be in charge of. I spoke with few other patients and they all had gone through hell with Immedicenter. We are a year into charge dispute that we have won btw, and we just got reached out by collection agency? We are definitely prepared to sue Immedicenter, and lodge complains with all agencies, BBB, FTC, to insure such scams posing as legit get shut down once and for all. Stay away. No Stars!!! read more
