Immediate triage and into a private exam room pretty quickly. A real exam space, not sheets hanging between beds! Like clockwork on blood, scheduling image, getting blood drawn, results back, medical decision and seeing the doctor. Accurate diagnosis. Longest wait was getting into my room upstairs, however, the noise level in their exam area was the calmest, quietest I've ever experienced so I slept on their comfortable exam bed until I got my room at 3 am. Every person was professional, courteous, friendly, upbeat, and truly cared about my comfort and medical care. Very surprised and happy to get a huge single room to myself!! It's in the new wing. Really helped my recovery. Hardly heard any hallway noise or talking the whole stay! The helicopter even landed on the roof outside my window and I didn't even hear it! The bed was sooooo comfortable! No tossing and turning through the night also helped my recovery. No unnecessary, annoying visits for vitals or procedures. The nurses and staff were very considerate and met and anticipated all my needs. Comfort and quality of care were well attended to even though they were very busy. They never rushed my care. If I needed pain medication they made sure I got it. (Thank you!) At surgery time the only delay was waiting for the anesthesiologist. Everyone else was like a well oiled machine. However, the anesthesiologist was very knowledgeable, experienced, and thorough. I woke in recovery and was alert and functional. Food was good for being in the hospital. Menu and a la cart choices were provided so after the first day I got to pick exactly what I wanted to eat and drink. It always came up fresh with hot and cold appropriate temps. Remember to include any condiments ahead of time. It's not a restaurant. The kitchen staff were friendly, helpful, and eager to meet all my needs. The only area that could be attended to better was keeping my wall board up to date. It wasn't always done spontaneously by the staff, sometimes had to request as the information changed, and I think that is very important to avoid mistakes in medication, treatment updates, oral intake and restrictions, and who is treating me. The hospital was very full though, so I feel the nurses and staff did an awesome job!!

They were trying to make me feel comfortable. They were checking on me every minute. They answered all my questions without any hesitation. Dr. Ho (Podiatry) and Dr. Santosham (Anesthesiologist) provided outstanding service to me. They did a great job to make me feel relaxed and comfortable during the surgery. However I needed to review my work schedule which is often changing to find a day which was suitable and would fit in Dr.Francis' operation schedule. I was assured I could call back and schedule the procedure. Little did I know that I would be at the mercy of the ONE procedure scheduler that the office uses, who is so busy dealing with the phone traffic that they cannot reliably answer the phone. When I asked if there was another way I could schedule the procedure, in person or by some kind of email or patient portal , I was left a very rude message saying that I was sending the scheduler to my voicemail when I was in the middle of various processes at work and had called more than 10 times during the week at different times to try to catch them to schedule the procedure. Not only this but the front desk also had the same track record for answering the phone, as in they never answer. Guess i was lucky to get my initial appointment over the phone in the first place. Will not be returning, heading to another Gastro that actually has adequately and functioning staff. I would not give this office your patronage, they are comfortable knowing they are a much lauded office so they don't take care of patients.

Gastro Health did not follow up.
