I had a simple plumbing job done on my shower that was dripping water. Whereas another plumber had apparently "fixed" this and I paid a high price for it, this company took the time to diagnose the issue and do quality work. I will certainly call them again and I encourage those reading this to use their services.

One fortuitous day I rode down a street with a yard sign advertising "Fitz-It Home Improvement,…read moreRepairs and Handy Work." The sign went on to advertise "Small and Medium Repairs; Fast and Reasonable." Kevin Fitzpatrick speaks the truth about his business FitzIt -- he is fast, reasonable ... and SO MUCH MORE! Accurate, friendly, communicative, multi-talented, honest, fair. Kevin is JUST GREAT! He helped IMMENSELY with a basement remodel project we did this summer. First, he removed all of the dry-wall ceiling tiles, then all of the wood wall panelling, some old useless pipes and a retired radiator. THEN, after we had a new floor put in and newly refinished cinder block walls, Kevin came back to do some minor plumbing for us, some electrical repairs, and then wrapped our hot water and steam heater pipes. He even fixed a door that one of the contractors hadn't put back on very well! He is just SO EASY to work with and thorough! It's really not an exaggeration to say it's been life-changing to have met and hired Kevin and Fitz-It Repairs. I almost hesitate to put this review out there because I suspect his phone will be ringing off the hook ... but you all should know what a valuable resource he is here in Rochester and the surrounding area!

Very shocked and disappointed! I had called to ask about some repair work and was quoted a price. (…read moreNo contract, just a quote). Called around to check some other places, just to compare. Called handyman back to make a plan and was "boldly told" that the price I was quoted will now be almost $150 more! How? Why? (I wish I got a name of who I spoke with, maybe it was the same guy). Sounds to me like they might just be looking for a bigger payout, upset that I called other places to compare, or maybe the price quoted depends on who answers the phone. Must be how they do their business! Either way, I was NOT paying the higher price (or ANY price), especially with the unnecessary attitude I was given on the phone. Good thing, I just read some of their other not so good reviews... You should too.
