The seating inside consisted of high countertops and accompanying stools, which were actually pretty nice styled, belying the building they're sitting in. Everything was really clean too. The place wasn't busy, but we went at an odd time, around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. We ordered the currywurst and medium fries for about 4€, plus 0,4€ for mayo. As the name suggests, the currywurst is served "Berliner" style, with curry powder sprinkled atop the sauce. My wife didn't think it was that great, and while she considers herself a currywurst connoisseur - if there is such a thing - she admits she isn't a fan of the Berliner style. I thought it was pretty good. Probably more of a 3.5 star establishment, but I'm rounding up. I wouldn't go out of my way to try it, but if I'm in the area, it's an option.

I have had a lot of vegan meats and the one they offer here is one of the BEST! There are several dipping sauces to choose from, as well as different side options to go with your wurst. I have had it on top a fresh garden salad, with a side of fries and also with the potato dippers. The salad was fresh and dressing was perfect. The fries are fabulous and the potato dippers are great! I also appreciate their prices. You can eat good food for a decent price (which can be difficult here in Oberkassel). They are also incredibly fast, which is perfect if you are on the go or short on time. The restaurant is very clean and the staff is warm and welcoming. My preferred option is the banh mi dac biet which is basically their special with pate and meat. The baguette they use for the banh mi unfortunately isn't really fresh. They only toast it for a few minutes and it turns up more on the softer side. If you are used to the Subway bread, this might be ok for you but a Vietnamese baguette should be fresh, very crispy on the outside and very fluffy on the inside. The veggies tasted fresh, the pate was ok but not exciting and the meat were a few cold fatty cuts of pork. In my opinion the veggies could have been pickled a bit more. They just tasted like ordinary fresh veggies. The avocado smoothie was nice. SERVICE The guy who took my order was very nice and friendly. Same goes for the two cute Vietnamese girls. I asked for some Vietnamese chili with my banh mi and while they skimped a bit on the chili, the guy was only worried that I couldn't take the heat. ATMOSPHERE This place is small but has a few tables and some seats at the window. I would say the building is quite old but they made the best to make it look fresh and trendy. Some corners and decoration items really need some cleaning though. RATING I wish I could give this place one more star. I really do but the execution of the key components for a banh mi are just not up there yet. I mean its fine if you really want to eat some Vietnamese banh mi but for someone who has eaten so many banh mi around the world, I just can't justify 4 stars at that price.
