Vanilla perfectly balanced. Must say the cold foam stands to be the most delicate and refreshing I've ever had. Wish we had this where I live. All the employees were delightful.

Unfortunately, the time crunch didn't allow for me to try any food but I purchased the chocolate peanut butter Foo Foo which is what my heart desired since the day I stumbled upon Debra Jean's Yelp reviews. This dessert coffee drink did NOT disappoint and it was as scrumptious as I anticipated it would be. A wonderful way to set the tone for a long ride home filled with endless traffic disturbances. This coffeehouse is incredibly charming both inside and outside. The place was hustling when I arrived shortly before noon. Luckily a huge party was departing so I was able to get a parking spot on the main road in front of the shop. I also didn't have to wait an inordinate amount of time. It is important to note everything is made fresh to order so be certain to allow time when you visit. If you are in a rush, wait until you have time to savor the experience. There was a generous variety of baked desserts in a glass case and other items were available to order. I placed my order and took in all the decor and scenery as I waited for it to be prepared. During this time I noticed there was a seated area in the rear and the walls were covered with biblical verses. I love this! The staff were all working hard cleaning, creating, and serving guests. Finally, I had the pleasure of watching the young lady create my Foo Foo. The chocolate rim and the crunchy peanut topping really set my soul on fire as I enjoyed my afternoon delight. I wish I had more time to broaden my Debra Jean's experience but I look forward to returning and I'll be sharing with all my friends who will be heading that way.

The staff just isn't the friendliest in town. The interactions often feel very transactional: you're here to buy a product and I'm here to hand it to you. No greeting when entering, no real warmth when leaving -- just neutral service. It's a bit surprising when you learn the businesses are owned by a local pastor. You would assume making customers feel welcomed would be a top priority. That said, during today's visit we did see what great service could look like. A regular customer walked in and one employee greeted her enthusiastically while another double-checked her order because it wasn't her "usual." That was wonderful to see -- I just wish that same energy was given to everyone walking through the door. Now for the reason we came today. Each day they post a "name of the day" on Facebook where someone with that name gets a free donut or ice cream from their sister shop. I follow along and love letting friends know when their name pops up. I've even redeemed one myself before. It's just one of those small things that makes people smile. On Sundays we usually grab breakfast somewhere on the way to church. Last week I saw their March specialty donuts posted and one looked like something our daughter would really enjoy, so we made a detour from our usual (and cheaper) breakfast spot to stop here. And to give credit where it's due -- the donuts themselves are fantastic. They're creative, fun, and genuinely delicious specialty donuts. Not your average donut shop offering. On quality alone, the donuts are easily 5 stars. Clearly a lot of people love this place, and I can understand why -- the donuts are excellent. I just wish the everyday customer experience matched the quality of the product.
