I'm new to my dental plan, and this office was in-network with my insurance, so I decided to schedule my annual checkup. When I called to make an appointment, the woman helping me would not tell me whether my plan included the two free dental cleanings it advertises. She kept saying that I first had to come in to be examined by the dental hygienist, who would then decide what type of cleaning I needed. At my appointment, they took X-rays, and the dentist came in for about five minutes. He didn't seem interested at all, said I had no cavities, and then left. Next, the dental hygienist came in and told me my gums were red and that I needed a "special" cleaning. The same woman who scheduled my appointment came back and said it would cost me $1,400 out of pocket, even with my insurance. I declined, and suddenly the price dropped to $300. I declined again, explaining that my dental plan includes two free cleanings per year. She insisted that it didn't and even tried to get me to sign up for a credit card payment plan to cover a treatment that I don't believe I needed. Please be careful with this dental office. In my experience, they tried to pressure me into paying a large amount of money for dental services that I didn't feel were necessary. I would never recommend this office because the entire experience felt misleading and untrustworthy. read more

I was looking for a new dentist and recommended to go see Dr. Grigoryan. I made one phone call and his staff was able to schedule me in within the same week. He has multiple locations, one in San Bernardino, Fontana and Upland. I scheduled to see him in Upland, and I just say his office is very clean, staff is very attentive and he is very thorough and professional. He is a full service honest, gentle and top of the line dentist. I can't be much happier with my decision. I just finished my dental appointment with Dr. Vahan, he removed 9 upper teeth that where infected. During the many Novocain injections, So I would feel comfortable as he removed my teeth. Injections are never fun for anybody, Dr. Vahan asked should he processed or wait with the more Novocain injections. He never pushes time, he and his team are very supportive during the process. All I heard was you are doing great, focus on your breathing. Which gave me a piece of mind. Dr Vahan is never in a hurry, Very gentle hands as he worked on my teeth. He always stops and explains what is happening and what sounds you will hear when working on your teeth if any. If you want a dentist that cares what you need and will give you the right treatment this is the perfect match. I have always been fearful of any dentist, I have no more fear. My experience with the staff was everyone was always friendly and easy to talk to. If I had any questions they were always very willing to explain. The whole office was clean, sterilized and has the latest dental technology. Dr. Grigoryan fixed a good amount of my teeth. I was shy at the beginning but when all was done I was completely happy with the results. They made me feel so comfortable. Be careful here. Mike, the accountant is incredibly rude as is myrna in the front. I've been coming here for 2 years, and it all went to hell when I switched insurances. They tried telling me that certain things weren't covered, and even after I had the insurance company call, myrna even argued with them. 150 bucks for something that's supposed to be free for me. I wouldn't go here if you don't need to. They know they are taking advantage of people, and they get snarky when you call them out on it. read more

If I had to sum this place up with one word: Unprofessional. On my very first visit here, Mike at the front desk made me jump through a bunch of hoops and call my insurance company to request some BS then he literally told me right after my call that he didn't actually need it, he just wanted me to. Then, no joke, he had the news on the tv and asked my opinion on ABORTIONS! In the dentist's waiting area!! Completely inappropriate! I let it go at the time because my husband liked this place, but it has always bothered me how he felt this was an appropriate topic for discussion with a patient! Fast forward two years and I've been here a handful of times when we changed insurance. Mike and Myrna KNEW we had new insurance because they told us we need new xrays because of the new insurance. After his xrays and cleaning, they try to charge him at the old rates. He reminds them he changed insurance, and Mike had the audacity to say infront of every patient in the waiting area that he doesn't listen to patients and he doesn't care what they say because they're wrong. Ridiculous attitude to have! Since they would not listen, my husband asked the insurance company to call the front desk and help sort out the billing. Our insurance company has Myrna recorded YELLING AT THE INSURANCE COMPANY on the phone that "well he's paid it before, I don't know why it's a problem now!!" And refusing to listen to the insurance specialist trying to do her job and explain that these services are covered under the new insurance plan. The moral of this story is this place will try to rip you off and will become belligerent when called out on it. Stay far away!! read more

Omg, this was one if those dental shops that's a total up-sell business. First off the front desk was sure nice enough, but on the phone was confusing. The dentist was very informative and pleasant enough. The hygienist was where the up selling started. My gums are in good shape from my past dentist ( past 4 checkups) but this gal was rattling off 4s and 5s, and told me I needed all those gum scraping, deep cleaning gigs. They refused to give me just a regular cleaning!!! Then the financial guy (needs attitude adjustment), came in and told me I needed $7,000 worth of work done, not covered by my insurance. BEWARE The reason for my one Star is that the hygienist came in and started poking around and rattling off numbers all five's and four's on my gums. My gums with those kind of number would be bleeding puffy and red. They are NOT any of those. The bill came to over $2000 for deep cleaning and medication after they bill insurance. it's a RIP OFF. I went to a second dentist and I do not have fours or fives I have one's two's and a couple of three's I would not trust this hygienist. The doctor himself was very kind but I still will not go back. I have had the worst insurance and best insurance and have always been treated with respect and kindness at this office. Myrna has been especially kind and has always gone out of her way to make me feel cared for and comfortable. She is lovely, professional, and knowledgeable. She keeps me on track when I procrastinate on necessary dental appointments. I can be grumpy and difficult at times when it comes to dental work and she always responds with kindness. Maria took my full mouth x-rays on my last appt. It was my first time meeting her. She was the first to tell me that I didn't need to bite hard so the X-rays were not uncomfortable this time like they usually are. Maria and I had a lovely conversation while waiting for Sean to give me a deep cleaning. Maria is a very sweet and positive person. It was my first time meeting Sean, the hygienist. She informed me of every available option so I was able to make an informed choice of my hygiene procedures and stay within my budget. She checked on me constantly during my deep cleaning to make sure I wasn't in pain. She was fast and efficient. I enjoyed her casual conversation and down-to-earth personality. I felt relaxed and comfortable around her. Mike in the front office handles all the insurance and always informs me of all charges ahead of any procedures. There are no surprises. Mike is really efficient at his job. He has always been very professional. Most dentists and physicians have upselling in their offices. It is now standard procedure in most places. I simply asked for no upselling and they don't do it now. I wish I could afford some of the procedures they offer. All you have to do is say- No, thank you- if it's not something you are interested in. Not hard at all. I have only had Miguel assist once and he was friendly and helpful. Dr Grigoryan is very kind. He doesn't react to my weirdness. I get nervous and have to swallow a lot during procedures. I can't handle having that plastic thing in my mouth to keep my mouth open. He is good with anything I do and all my nervousness. I'm hard to numb and he does a good job. He constantly checks on me and asks if I'm okay during procedures. He calms my dental fears. All the work he has done has been great and held up for years. I live an hour away from this office and keep coming back because I really like all of you. Thank you. Very disappointing interaction. My husband and I called to see if he can get an appointment since he has new coverage with his employer. He called & the front desk receptionist seemed confused. After the initial contact she took down my husbands information of his insurance and called him back. When she called back minutes later she said their office was not his selected office. So my husbands calls his insurance switched over to this office only to call back and the lady tell him oh we don't take the insurance. Wtf?! Why couldn't she say that before! Complete waste of time. I have been going with Dr Vajan for a while and I finally decided to do some cosmetic dental work and I must say I am very pleased with his work. I love the way my smile came out and glad I chose him to do all work on this life changing experience. Like many have stated he is a nice calm dentist explains all the steps and is always asking how you are doing and if you feel ok. He makes things more relaxing as he works on your teeth. I would like to start off by saying Dr. Vahan Grigoryan and his office team are incredible. I was having pain due to impacted wisdom teeth, my general dentist who does not remove wisdom teeth referred me to some other dentist which I was not fond of. One of my friends referred me to Dr. Grigoryan and I'm glad I listened. He removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth on two different occasions. He told me from the start I might feel some pain during the extraction but I felt nothing but relief. Even after the extractions, I felt no pain and no discomfort, he truly has an amazing and soft hand. I'm glad I went with him and I will highly recommend him to others as well! read more

I was assigned by my insurance to see this dentist. They were very happy to get me started and gave me an appointment to get my teeth cleaned right away. When I came for my appointment they did a set of whole mouth . xrays. When they finished, the dentist told me I needed an imp;ant, I thought I would get my teeth cleaned next, but they said No, that I needed to get sone forms signed by my Generaal Practitioner and my Osteoporpsis doctors because I take blood thinners. All this to get my teeth cleaned? But they were trying to talk me into getting an implant & I told them that my doctors wouldn't agree to that. But I got notes from my doctors that I was approved for teeth cleaning, but not the implant. All of a sudden it was difficult to get an appointment. Several excuses were given, but I believe they didn't want me as a patient anymore because they couldn't make a bunch of money off me. So I called my insurance and they assigned me to a different dentist. Unless you want an implant, I wouldn't recommend this dentist. read more

Needless to say, I was NOT going to show up with two severely chipped teeth. Dr. Grigoryan's office took me right away and he fitted me with temps until my new crowns came in. Pretty disappointed with this place. The dentist himself does great work. Unfortunately, every visit I've had to wait an hour before being seen at all. The billing staff billed me up front for everything, only to find out I was completely screwed with what I was paying.
