Hate going here! Front desk is always nice but once you've past them you'll be in for a very snotty rest of your appointment.

I was elated an IV was established on one attempt, but extremely painful with the slighted injection push. From there this turned into the worst MRI experience of my life. This was the first time I've ever been painfully uncomfortable with the positioning. My leg had to be "straight" to make sure foot was "flat" in the brace. A request for lumbar support, and to bend the knees to take pressure off the back was refused, but allowed to bend opposite leg. Received warm blanket...Yes! Didn't get ear plugs, just a headset over the ears. I've had both together in previous MRI's that really dampened the noise. It was loud this time, despite the music. I had one hand under my back for support. The call light ball was draped over me, not placed in my hand. Before starting, I said I was uncomfortable. The reply was is would be a quick MRI. I heard that several times, every time said I was uncomfortable, and there were pins and needles in the exam foot like it was falling asleep. Before the contrast, I said my leg was hurting and foot "really falling asleep". Last scan and we're done, just a few minutes, they said. I felt they thought I was a complainer, or just didn't care? After the scan, my foot and leg hurt. I pointed to the deep depression on the back of the leg from the brace...it's why I was hurting and getting pins and needles in the foot. I was ignored. Another tech, I hadn't seen before, asked how it went while taking the blanket. I pointed to the depressions on the leg as said it was the worst MRI of my life. I'll never forget her uncompassionate reply "there's always a first." No apologies from anyone. No one examined the deep depressions in the leg, and I don't have a history of edema in the lower extremities. Photos taken after getting dressed.

Beginning June 3, 2021, I started seeing Dr. Abrahamson, at the suggestion of my doctor, who by the…read moreway, I have left. He told me that he typically had "80% improvement for 80% of the people he treated. My first session of stem cell injections, with stem cells (he said) taken from my blood, along with hyaluronic acid as I recall, cost me $6,260. My next session, on June 30th, cost me another $6, 250. On July 7, I paid $1,300 for a "Plasma Rich Protein" injection, supposedly to stimulate cellular production. I continued regular treatments over the next 10 months, with payments totaling $ 18,493.00. When I was last in his office about a month ago, I stood at his receptionist's window waiting patiently while four chattering women chattered at a back desk, ignoring me. I finally got their attention, apparently making them mad, because one of them told the Dr. that I had "touched her shoulder". Well, that's possible . . . when I am talking with people, men or women, I will often touch them during the conversation. So, I can not dispute that. But I say "big deal". Anyway, after that session (for which he dinged me ANOTHER $1,625), he told me that although "he liked me" (I guess so!), he wouldn't see me again because I had "touched his employee's shoulder". I call BS! He had done all he could with his bogus stem cell injections (STILL not FDA approved, because "the cells may mutate which could cause tumors") Gulp! But he does them anyway. And now I see his method: Milk the poor sap with the hurting knees, shoulder, whatever, for all he can get, then kick him loose with any bogus excuse he can come up with. A few days ago I had a hyaluronic acid injection in my shoulder from a Humana doctor. I have had immediate relief, with absolutely NO cost to me . . . it was covered under my insurance. My advice to you, should you be seeking this opportunist's services, is to not. Do your research, then try something that is FDA approved, because that means it is tried and true!

He came in the front door while I was waiting. No receptionist. EXTREMELY distracted. Left the exam room several times to check on a different patient. (How did he have another patient there if he just came in the front door?) Did a nonchalant "exam". Never followed up on the referral he said he would provide me with-- for braces and physical therapy. Did not answer messages after my visit. Do NOT go to this doctor. Oh, and did I mention I just got a bill 5 weeks later?! For $250.00, for what? He didn't even take my blood pressure! Stay away, far away.

While doing an internet search for a local provider, I came across an ad for virtual colonoscopy with Front Range Preventive Imaging. Did a bit of research and it sounded less invasive, faster, without sedation, and took a look at surrounding structures besides the colon using CT scan technology. Called and spoke with a super helpful and professional woman who checked with my insurance to see if it was covered, which it was. Scheduled, received prep and instructions in the mail a week prior to the procedure. Prep was not bad at all the day before; fasting, laxatives, lots of fluids. Procedure was fast and easy; all the staff was very nice and professional, explained each step thoroughly, took about 15 min to explain what would happen, only about 10 min to run me through the machine. No sedation, I was on my way to a big breakfast right after. Had to call a week later for results, but I think that was because I didn't specify where to send them correctly. They emailed them promptly. Report was very thorough and in addition to my colon remarked on findings of all surrounding organs and boney structures. I am super impressed and happy with my experience and would recommend this over conventional colonoscopy to anyone without a family history or prior finding of polyps. The only downside is that if there are any polyps found, they can't remove them during this procedure, you have to go back in for the convention route.

They assured me, yes, we've spoken to your insurance and you will owe $xx at time of procedure. I even asked at check in, "Has everything been taken care of with my insurance", to which they replied, "I'll go ahead and call them again, and verify the amount due." Great. I thought it was all taken care of .... silly me. Per my insurance company, the facility failed to get a preauthorization. They only ran my eligibility. My insurance rep said that dr's offices 10x out of 10 do this for their patients, because they are the only ones that know the billing codes. So .... now I am stuck with an outragous bill that I can't pay, because my insurance company denied the procedure because it wasn't preauthorized. SO BE WARNED --- know what questions to ask --- ask specifically for them to run your eligibility PLUS preauthorization prior to your appointment date. Silly me for assuming that's what they were doing -- I will never make that mistake again.

I told them their machine was to small and me going inside this machine was not going to work. I then was given 2 Valium to help calm me down enough to try and get in this machine. Of course that did not work. The first time I went into the machine, there is a protective end cap missing on the light bar that runs across the top of the machine.. I was being slid back into the machine and that light bar removed some of my arm hair and had scratched my arm up.. Their next step is they wanted to inject me with general anesthetic like what they do for when your going into surgery. I said that was NOT a option or risk I'm willing to take. I have had MRIS done before but not in a machine made for a kid.. I went down to the boulder MRI they have a new power large bore machine that is way better than the little one was. A current machine is in the Lafayette office and is very high resolution. It is all current and does not make you feel like its coming down on you.. I had no issues in that machine.. Take this for what it's worth..
