Amazing place to go with the kids they will die with happiness they are currently ongoing expansion and it's gonna be amazing

This is a super cool spot to take your kids! We prefer to go on days it's not raining to use the rooftop play area, my sons favorite. I take my kids during the week, late morning and never have had an issue finding parking, and the best part it's never super busy at that time. I went for a play date on the weekend, and it was a totally different experience. Just not fun when it's packed. The facility is large and well maintained, clean and the staff is friendly. My only complaint is that they charge admission for parents. It makes it a less common destination for us for that reason. I would love to come here with my kids and their grandparents but it's just insane to pay for all us when we are just watching my son play. read more

Great place in Everett. I never knew it was here but I took my kids and they had a blast. It's been months and they still talk about coming back here all the time. The water area is super interactive and fun. The whole building is incredibly clean. Staff are friendly and welcoming, as well as helpful. A huge variety of activity for different ages. My 1 year old, 2.5 year old, and 7 year old all had fun doing different things. read more

Visited here last month on a Sunday morning and it was fantastic! When we arrived it was not too busy (just after opening) but definitely got busier later in the day. It was such a perfect adventure for my 5 year old and 2.5 year old. Lots of activities both inside and outside and at a very reasonable price. The pass covered the whole day so you could go for a while pop out for lunch and return later. Would highly recommend! read more

Great place for kids to burn off steam on a rainy day and the rooftop is pretty awesome when it's open. My daughter spends a couple hours here then tells me she's ready for a nap. A blessing for any parent of a busy body kid haha the staff is also very friendly so no complaints here. P.S. get the membership! It's worth it. read more

This is less of a museum and more of an educational playground! I absolutely love this place! I am not a child and I do not have any children, but I do have nephews and they are my excuse for wanting to come back here! There are so many different exhibits it would take at least a full day or two to play with them all! From the stage for aspiring thespians to the treehouse to the keyboard straight out of the movie Big to the farm house to the glow room, train room, water room, airplane, upstairs - outdoor playland and ... whew... campground... did I miss something?! I am sure I did! My personal favorite - the airplane, glow room and water room! The airplane is a blast because we adults can have a rest and listen to the five year old captain explain that we will need to fasten our seat belts for the landing in Neverland! The glow room is fun because, well, everything glows?! ANNND the water room, really, playing in water is always fun, especially when it includes water wheels, squirt guns that make chimes dance and an entire table for building water raceways. Ooh, I almost forgot to mention that this is a large size connect four game in the farmland. I don't know what connect four has to do with farms but it is still pretty dang cool! I definitely want to come back here the next time I am in town. Err, I mean, I definitely want to bring my nephews back here. Yeah, that's what I meant. read more

A lot of fun for children and very interactive for the parents and families. They keep the groups small enough that it is not too crowded

I have purchased the annual membership for the past 3 years because my grandkids (3 and 5 year olds) love this place. Their favorite things are rooftop. Only thing I don't like is we have to go through the toy store in order to exit. It makes it difficult to just walk through when there are so many toys. That's why I didn't give this place 5 stars. read more

So because of the cost (we are a family of 5), I said despite having a lot of fun, we probably wouldn't be back. Well we've been back twice since I wrote that review. We make sure to go on their donation night (every 3rd Friday). It's a lot busier of course, but it's still a lot of fun for both the kids and adults. read more

Okay so I love and hate this place. Love: It's great for younger kids and has lots for them to do! There's lots to explore and play with. Hate: Majority of the parents I saw walking around looked absolutely miserable. There's not enough seating for tired parents, and there's zero staff keeping the peace. Oh and strollers have to stay up front, so no having your stuff handy. Realistically parents shouldn't have to pay to get in, because they don't enjoy or do anything except follow their kids around and pick up after their kids so the staff doesn't have to. It's pretty neat for what it is, but it's not worth the over $20 it cost for me and my one kiddo to get in. read more

I have been to about a dozen children's museums, and this one takes first place! It is so well planned and interesting, and updated more frequently than I have observed of other similar places. It is interesting even to the adults, which is pretty important when you buy a year's pass and have grandkids who love to go here! It's also a great place for a birthday party, but realize the kids will only be together while in the party room; it is impossible to keep them together in the display areas. The video I posted is of our visit last week; my friend's granddaughter is a rising rock star, and the little theater (complete with a sound board and lighting controls) is perfect for overcoming any shyness about being on stage. read more

Having a 3 year old, I've been to many children's museums from Everett down to Los Angeles. And I must say, Everett is far from the biggest and the best but it's still a great children's museum. There isn't a lot of "toys" to play with but plenty of play areas to stimulate kids imaginations. They have the same stuff as many of the bigger museums; i.e. water area, building area, vet stations, theater stage, club house, etc - but ICM is just in a smaller scale. So pick and choose your days and time you go as it can get crowded pretty fast. At $13/pp it's a pretty steep price so if you plan on visiting frequently, it's best to get the membership or check with your frequented museum (if you have a membership) you may get a discounted entry. The best part of this place that I like and my daughter loved is the rooftop playground. It was perfect for a fall sunny day. There's a dinosaur dig pit, huge wooden playground with slides, bridges, monkey bars, crawl tunnels, ladders and rock walls. Music corner to make some noise as well as other climbing structures. Downstairs had a few classrooms with guided activities and a lunch area as well. Overall a great place to visit to kill some time on a sunny or even rainy day! Stimulating children's imaginations and play time. You can spend a few hours or all day here. I'll definitely be back again! read more

Great exhibits, terrible customer service. Starting positive: the exhibits are well built, imaginative, and the children have a blast. That said, customer service could use some work. Went on a Sunday to celebrate child's birthday. Arrived 1055 and stood outside in freezing temp with other children and parents while employees milled around waiting for EXACTLY 1100 am to come. That's petty. Bathrooms are under capacity and more single occupancy than designed for crowds resulting in long waits for kids. read more

Fantastic museum to let the little ones play and interact! Plus the first Sunday is month is free for military!!! There are SO many different exhibits to explore and play with!! My daughter personally enjoyed their water exhibit the most and it was super cute that they provide little aprons so the kids don't get too soaked. It was raining the day we visited so unfortunately we didn't get to take advantage of the outdoor play area on the rooftop. The biggest downside to the museum is that it can get VERY crowded which can lead to cranky kids and pushy adults. But I would absolutely 100% come back and visit here again with my family!! read more

I've taken all of my kids To the imagine children's Museum on multiple occasions and they have had a total utter and complete blast running around experiencing everything there is to experience touching everything there is to touch and playing with everybody that there is to play with. This location is particularly small because of where it's located but they have an outdoor area on the roof where they have a playground and a dinosaur dig and lots of instruments to play, mainly Percussion instruments. It can get expensive but if you have military ID you can get a really good price on a membership for one whole year. Without the discount the memberships are still very affordable. If for some reason you can't afford it they do have a free night once a month and we used to take full advantage of that fee night when we didn't have membership. We loved this children's museum. There is so much for kids to do. Our son loved it. There was a train section filled with train everything. He loved it! There were train tracks, half a train engine to play in, and even a real official train track to watch. We went and enjoyed music time and he loved playing with the shakers and other kids. There was a farm with a lot of animals and play toys, life size animals to sit on and even a bean bag toss. Everything in this place is meant for kids to play with and enjoy and it is awesome because we didn't have to worry about anything getting broken because it was all meant to be played with. These people know how to make plenty of areas for kids to play and make each one fun for them. read more

They have plenty of space and experiences for all. Decent membership prices with military discounts and a free night each month for even the most budget strapped families to attend and enjoy. Crafts, water tables, be a vet, chat it up in a tree house, hit a ball or two on the mini golf course, get a hair cut by the kiddos (pretend) and head to the theatre for a bit of dress up and a live show with your kids running the lighting or the sound & music. Drive a city bus or milk a cow, take a flight or enjoy model trains, enjoy building in a room that makes everything glow or head to the roof outdoor play area for some instruments playing, drum it up or dig for dinosaur bones then if you still have wiggles to burn play them off on the jungle gym until they collapse in the stroller. Head to the basement for crafts and then hit the souvenir shop on your way out for a memory to remind your little one of the trip to Everett's children's museum! read more

What a fun place for kids! We were lucky enough to attend a free admission night and boy was this place packed! There are tons of activities with different rooms. I first visited the Imagine Children's Museum in spring 2008, and have been back many times since. I have two boys, with the oldest at nearly 8 years old now. I would say that this place is best for kids from 3-8 years old. The museum has a big variety of hands-on "exhibits," including (but not limited to) an awesome outdoor rooftop play area; tree house; restaurant; veterinary clinic; a section of an actual Boeing airplane and Everett transit bus; a farm; camping and play horse area; a water spray area; and various mechanical exhibits utilizing physics. Admission is nearly $10 for each person (children as well as adults), which adds up quickly for a family. (In 2008, admission was $7.). Families who plan to visit the museum often would do well with an annual membership, which we actually had at one time. It can get really busy at he ICM on weekends and at the end of the school year with field trips. The museum also has a free evening one Friday per month, and then it is REALLY busy. We got free passes from a friend for our visit today, and at 2 pm on a Friday afternoon after the start of the school year it was very quiet. The Imagine Children's Museum has been a wonderful addition to the City of Everett. In fact, it is the only children's museum in all of Snohomish County. read more

I really enjoyed this museum! My little one LOVED it as well and enjoyed the water part the most. He's two and he was able to partake in everything pretty much. They have 3 levels of fun. Top floor being on rooftop with an awesome playground with slides. It's free for 12mos n under but 1yr+ pays $12 including adults. **STROLLERS NOT ALLOWED ON THE FLOOR** They do close at 5pm, I say 3hrs would of been a perfect amount of time to really enjoy every part to this museum. I got there pretty late and had to rush thru it. Staff did a great job keeping the place in line too. It was clean and neat. I will def be back if I'm ever in the area again. read more

Best choice to stop by while driving through. If your looking for a safe place for your child to burn off energy this is the place. Our toddler had so much fun and so did we. Brings out the child in you. They have water games, vet clinic, a treehouse where you can read books and an art n craft area. We didn't want to leave. Definitely a place to go back to. read more

Such a fun museum with a variety of stage- and age-appropriate play. The water tables are fun and interactive, and some of the activities are as simple as playing pretend vet or bus driver, while others include an enormous rooftop playground, interactive light room, and pretend dinosaur dig. There is a fantastic tree house and lots of areas that teach children about culture, movement, science and careers. The kind of place you can bring kids over and over without them becoming easily bored or too over stimulated. read more

Took my nephew to the museum he's only 12 months old but he really enjoyed it. Though there are kids older than him he still had so much fun, music class was his favorite part he danced and played the drums. He likes looking and touching things so this was a good place for him. After circling the Children's Museum and surrounding area about five times, we finally find parking. The seven year-old boy I nanny for, who for the sake of this story we will call Jake. Jake jumped out of the car and was uber excited to go to the museum. About 25 minutes into his playtime they made an announcement that the museum would be closing in five minutes, "please clean up and gather your belongings". Next thing you know I am dragging Jake out the door and trying to explain why we can't just hide-out inside the museum until the museum employee's leave The museum in theory is a great learning experience. Unfortunately, it has some major drawbacks: 1. The hours are completely insane. It is closed Monday's and most school holidays (I guess children don't like to play on Monday's and on no school days). They close at 4:30 half of the week, which makes it hard for school age kids to get anytime to enjoy this museum. 2. The museum has a great outdoor rooftop play area! It's great but closed at the sign of even the slightest drizzle. This is Washington! If it has to close for rain, why not build a cover? Otherwise, this playground will be unused for about nine months out of the year. 3. The Museum is designed with intentions on learning and fostering imaginative play. Unfortunately, imaginative play is important and there are many different levels, they didn't think of tying multiple different pretend play opportunities together. There is a produce area with a scale but it stops there, no cash register or store, there is no area to play "house" or dolls or even dress up clothes. The mock airplane is cool but no lights or sounds, the kids lose interest quickly because it doesn't do anything and they can't do anything hands-on with it. 4. There is an art area and they have art type classes, but they charge an additional fee (and not a small one I might add). They also charge an entry fee for each child and adult coming to the center. The pass is expensive if you want more than one adult to be able to take a child or have more than one child. 5. The absolute biggest mistake (actually, it was a well thought-out marketing plan) is when leaving the ONLY exit you can leave through is through there gift shop which is loaded with toys and candy, no matter how fast you try to rush through every kid is saying "can I get..." I still recomend this place, but I hope they make some improvements. read more

I'm pretty sure I got every childhood disease ever when I went to the Children's Museum at Seattle Center. No so at the Imagine Museum. This place is nice and clean and gated off so the kids can just run around while the parents chat each other up. Definitely check out the website for good pictures. My son liked the airplane and train areas best, but there were plenty of other fun things for kids, including a climbing wall, a farm, and a theater with lights and a control panel with lots of levers and switches for the dads. We spent about 30 minutes waiting for my friend in the little fake restaurant. Noah cooked me up some scrumptious spaghetti and cheese sandwiches. It's only $6.50 to get in and they have free parking under the building! Also, I heard the lady say they will credit you your admission toward the $60 annual membership. If you have little ones, this place rocks. read more

We live in Seattle and could go to the Seattle Children's Museum, but make the trek up to Everett instead. The Imagine Children's Museum is smaller than the one in Seattle, but everything is in working order and updated. Although small, there's enough for creative play - there's a pretend restaurant, vet, indoor airplane, water room, and a few more. On sunny days, you can head up to the awesome rooftop playground. AND there's 90 min street parking in front and a block away! read more

Our kids love this museum and never seem to get tired of it! Compared to the pacific science center or the Bellevue children's museum, this place is hands down the best in the Puget Sound area. They also have one day per month for families with children who have sensory issues, where admission is free!!! read more

We brought our 16 month old son here today for the first time. The place was kept very clean and organized. All the workers were very friendly and helpful. The roof playground was an awesome place for children to play when the sun is out. It's also a pretty cool place to have a birthday party for the kids. We'll be coming back again with our son soon. read more

A far cry from the Seattle Children's Museum, this place tends to be less crowded but suffers some of the same issues, i.e. parking, or the lack of... While I enjoy this a bit one more, it is smaller, they seems to offer more hands-on classes for kiddos and offer plenty of art projects for even the adults....er...I mean older kiddos, to partake in and lend a hand. Snake-girl enjoys this place a lot, while she's only 4 years old, the areas all keep her very interested and by the time she's ready to leave we have more then gotten our money's worth. Staff are usually very watchful, friendly and attentive. The facilities are well cared for and clean. Birthday party packages are offered and the "party" rooms are sizable and close by the action upstairs. read more
