We haven't been here for years. We used to take our toddler son and he loved it here, running around. So many interactive exhibits . This building is filled with floors where all children (and adults) can engage in a lot of useful knowledge while having fun. The water exhibit is fascinating. There are a lot of photo opportunities, like driving a bus, riding a tractor, boarding a plane, navigating a ferry and even milking a cow. Even more cool is that the exhibits that feature the Pacific Northwest, which highlights what are our region has to offer. But my favorite, just as what my toddler loved then are the wobbly rope bridges. Everyone can have fun here, for a whole day!

Came here for a Yelp event. It was my first time here and it's such a cute place. I highly recommend it for families and children, they'd have a blast!

We X-rayed a plushie opossum. Who knew they were so intricate on the inside.

Came here for an event called Camp Yelp and it was stellar. There were something g 20 vendors all dishing out food and it was amazing. But apart from that, what a cool place to visit! It reminds me of this place called the Exploratorium in San Francisco, with lots of science exhibits made for kids of all ages. They make science fun. My favorite exhibit was this box of kinetic sand with a light above it that was sensitive to how you formed it. If you build a mountainy structure, the light projects a volcano with lava coming out of it. Make a whole then it makes a lake. It was fascinating. They also have ramps to play with, loading cranes, and other things that you can spend a day on to help your kids to be curious. This is a must visit for parents whose kids have a penchant for STEm. For kids who don't, they'll still have a blast!

Went here for a special yelp event a couple of weeks ago. No expectations with this place but 4 year old me would be screaming in joy to be in a place like this! So much for kids to be playing with and they will not be bored. I enjoyed a few of the activities for sure! I still can't make a proper paper plane, that's for sure.

Took my son here for the first time, he just turned 3. What a great Children's Museum!! He had a blast, it was hard for him to leave. It was a bit rainy out so we didn't he to play on the rooftop but we can't wait to go back!! Awesome experience!

Excellent place for hands on kid fun.

A lot of fun for children and very interactive for the parents and families. They keep the groups small enough that it is not too crowded

It's on the bottom floor of the Armory building -- make sure you take the main elevator in the center of the food court, not the side elevators, or you'll end up wandering around confused. Once you're inside, though, it's fantastic. There are tons of activities and play areas, and plenty of seating scattered throughout so parents can actually sit down while the kids explore. My 18-month-old had an absolute blast, and even two hours wasn't enough time to cover everything at her pace before nap time. The changing rooms and stations are clean and well-maintained, and there are designated snacking areas too. My biggest complaint -- and the reason I don't get a membership -- is the parking situation. It's a mess. There are lots of different parking lots around Seattle Center, but they're expensive, and most involve a long walk if you're hauling strollers and kids. If they ever fix that, this place would be perfect. It does get busy, especially on rainy days but it's so big and spacious that it didn't feel too crowded on a Tuesday morning.

They do offer a small gift shop with various educational toys, activities and snacks, but they encourage parents to bring snacks. It's wheelchair friendly, but they do ask that you leave your stroller in the covered designated area, or in your car. We just brought our diaper bag and snacks, but visited the car a few times for snack breaks, which you're more than ok to do, as they allow you to come and go as you need to.

There are only about ten parking spots at the building, and nothing else within two blocks. You can't park at the library next door--there was a very over-zealous parking attendant questioning people who tried--and there's no street parking either. That's a real inconvenience in the rain with young children. I went on a Tuesday morning, and it was still very packed. It doesn't seem like they limit entry, and it felt overwhelming with so many kids. We did catch a storytime session, but it was hard to see or hear anything past the first row since the microphones weren't working. Overall, it was an okay experience --fun for little ones but very crowded and a bit pricey for a half-day activity.
