Years ago I had a side business of artificial plants and flower arranging, and made swags, wreaths, and all kinds of arrangements for home decoration. I took pride in using high quality materials. Hobby Lobby has some of the best quality and most realistic greenery and flowers I have ever seen. (They also have less expensive lower and medium quality available, but you get what you pay for!) They also have a huge variety of flowers in natural and fashion colors to match your needs. They also have an enormous variety of fabric, ribbons, notions of all kinds, for whatever project you have in mind. I don't sew, but I needed some fabric and material to refresh some mats for a picture for my office and found just what I needed. In the past I did find buttons here to replace some on a favorite shirt. Hobby Lobby does offer custom framing and mat services, however that is quite expensive IMHO. For double mats and new glass for a 31 X 31 print in a frame the quote was $130. I didn't want to spend that much. So I reused the old mats by covering them with fresh materials purchased at Hobby Lobby (I purchased the glass separately elsewhere). It ran me less than $50 and I like it better than with traditional mats. (picture is included). Even if you are not into doing a craft yourself, there are many crafts and decoration items here already finished. It's a great place to browse and get inspired. I enjoy walking around and seeing the different sections by motif: western décor, art deco, shabby chic, old elegance, to sparkly and pink for your little girl's room. The atmosphere is always peaceful. Hobby Lobby also offers party supplies and supplies for special occasions such as a wedding (tiaras, ostrich plume pens, boutonnieres and corsages, etc.) Be aware that there are usually some kind of specials going on, such as 40% off table ware, or 30% off artificial succulents... I got 50% off the gold trim I purchased for my project. There are coupons you can get online as well. So if you think something is priced at more than what you want to pay and are patient it will likely go on sale soon!

However, what I was absolutely unimpressed with was the customer service. The staff was rude, and more than once I was pushed aside both figuratively and literally with out so much as an excuse me or pardon me. Word of advice come looking fancy, and with your wallet out because even if the place is empty they will not give you the time of day or worse.

The place has a UPS drop off and so my wife came by yesterday to pick up a package and was told it…read morewasn't here, to check today. So she was feeling sick and sent me to pick it up. A female employee came out of the bathroom and saw me but didn't even offer to help or ask. So I went to the front and they said there was someone at the back and I said there's never anyone at the back cause I've been here before. So wasted trip cause the guy said UPS rules are address has to be the same on drivers license as on package. My address is different due to mail issues where I used to live so they would not release the package to me even though my wife had given me her driver's license as proof but still they could not release it to me.
