Had breakfast every morning, complimentary so I should judge too harshly, but not really that good. Very subpar products being bought. For such a nice hotel the food is severely lacking. Management should revisit this.

There were several tables with no water or anything. We were seated after a few minutes. We waited for 15 minutes no water, no waitstaff. Several tables around us were the same. Didn't really seem like we were going to be able to make the 3PM show at this rate. Finally left after 20 minutes. To be fair the hostess did say the kitchen was backed up. All and all it appeared they were understaffed for the patrons they had. We met some people at the elevator that had been outside dining and they said the food was good, however it was slow to come out for them also. I guess they have a rooftop deck for dining outside. The place is really kind of neat and I would have liked to eaten there. It seems like it may have been an old factory or something converted to hotel and dining. I was intrigued by the short rib eggs Benedict. May stop by again when we're in the area, hope things improve. Seems like it could use some better management. We did speak to the staff at the front desk in the main lobby on the way out and they were totally indifferent, no sorry about your bad experience, more of an oh well attitude.

We then left the hotel for dinner and on our return to our room we found a ladder set up in front of our room's door. Upon further inspection we found that our room was flooded with over three inches of water from a broken pipe. The maintenance crew helped us get our possessions together. We were told to go to the front desk for room reassignment. Upon arriving at The desk we found out that the flooding affected a total of ten rooms and that they had no other rooms nor could they find anything in the area. Front desk staff did try to help while always maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor during a difficult time. They earned all available stars.

The room was clean and had a rustic modern feel. When the carpet is beige, you know they have to take care of it consistently. Everything had a plush feel. The shower had a rainfall showerhead and a handheld. There's a scent that emanates throughout the hotel and into your room. It's light and adds to the ambiance. It's also in the sheets and linen too. I guess that adds to one of the negatives I list later in that the HVAC seems to be centrally controlled. There was some very minor debris in the sink that may have been left from wiping of a dirty rag, but that was mostly it. Gym was nice and parking was plentiful and free. What I didn't like: - Mini fridge in the room had a lot of snacks and other drinks that I assume were for sale. I usually pack my own food, so those items took up some space in the fridge - I get cold easily, so I try to adjust the thermostat, but it's centrally controlled, which I've never seen... I'm assuming all of the rooms are regulated in this way... - Breakfast bar- had bare minimal which I really don't mind. Burrata and the table bread are actually fantastic. The entrees we received are very generous portions which makes it good value for the money, but at the same time, it was very heavy and a little too rich in flavor. Presentation was already great. Halfway through dinner, I was really debating between 3 or 4 stars. Because of all the positives, I was going to give it 4 stars even though the food didn't really impress me that much. Desert unfortunately tipped that scale to 3 stars. We ordered Tiramisu. It was the saddest looking tiramisu. We could tell the bottom was watery and soggy. The cake part was dried out. It does look like either it was too old or it was refrigeration issues. We took a bite regardless to be sure and we could tell by the taste that it was an older cake. As someone who's been in the restaurant industry for 30+ years, that actually could be a health violation. We did send it back and they said they'd bring a new freshly made one... which I declined. They should have done that first rather than offering that after the fact. However, the service is great overall. Just could use some work on certain things. And regardless of the restaurant, the hotel is actually very nice. If I was to be back in the area again, I'd stay at this hotel again but eat at the steak joint across the street at Ironworks hotel instead.
