My husband and I were very particular who we picked for a Dj service and knew from the first time we sat down with Jerry they were going to be our Dj's. They will make sure that every last details is discussed before the wedding so you can relax and enjoy your wedding. A Mat, not needed, put pressure on the Bride to just agree! The Bricks had a Monitor Woman cruising our Wedding all nite, included herself in our reception. Felt businesslike instead of OUR PARTY. Honestly, we picked up inside & outside, cigarette butts, papers, anything to prevent not getting our deposit back. It was as nice as when we arrived. The monitor helped pick up, so we did NOT Receive our $1500 deposit. Ms. Monitor made sure! Beautiful Venue, but signer beware! The $1500 was our Wedding gift to our Bride & Groom for their Honeymoon. Very very Disappointing. Nothing we could do.

We gathered on the first floor and went up to the rooftop for a cocktail party and Hors d'oeuvres before the wedding. They had a variety of delicious items. The bar was great and the drinks generous. The wedding was on the rooftop -- a beautiful setting for a marriage. I'm guessing there was room for about 100 people. After the wedding, we went down to the 2nd floor where they had tables set up for dinner. It's a lovely venue. The food and service were great. After the meal, the rooftop was opened again for dancing. Desert was available indoors on the 3rd floor, coming in from the rooftop. All in all, this is a great location for a large party or gathering. They did a great job, in a nice venue, of showing everyone a great time.

As part of a promotion of some sort, we were able to book Summer for a low price. Overall, I was pleased with the communication between Summer and me when planning our big day. We were able to pick and choose what we wanted to be said in our ceremony which was very nice considering my husband and I are not very religious people. Summer came out to our rehearsal dinner and did a dry run through what was going to be happening on our special day. I have to give them only 3 stars because during our ceremony, Summer at some point during our vows substituted my husband's name with Brad- his name is Kyle. In the moment, we couldn't believe that it had happened.. and it was of course the joke of the night which got old really quickly. I felt bad for my husband but luckily our pgotogrphoto took care of that pretty quickly, putting a stop to the teasing by dinner time. It was also unclear as to when we needed to place the rings on each other fingers and say "I do". Some suggestions maybe? Have a ceremony script that has blank spots in place of a person's name and when it comes time for a wedding, write in the names of the people. I think what happened was Summer was reading from the already printed ceremony script that had random peoples names and never crossed theirs out and had jotted ours in on the sides or not at all. And during the rehearsal dinner, when practicing our entrances and parts of the ceremony, be clear as to when the rings are placed on the fingers and after what line we say "I do". We've never been married before so we count on you to guide us.

Called her in the morning to inquire about dj services and it seemed like she couldn't get me off the phone quick enough. Instead of making a new connection with a potential client she made it clear that "it's easier for me if I just email you a brochure"... not a great start for a new bride looking for services. After emailing back and forth we made an appointment to speak over the phone and low and behold.. was still given the same bad attitude. Very short and vague answers, no attempt to share excitement or make me feel comfortable/that she wanted to be speaking with me. If you're the front line of a business I highly recommend making an effort to get to know your clients or just don't act like the people who want to spend thousands of dollars on your services are a bother. Will be going somewhere else.

Loved the ease of it! We had Phil for our DJ the day of the wedding ( a friend recommended him) HE WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!! I loved his personality and he made the night flow so smoothly. He worked the crowd so well and even joked around with us. I would highly recommend Flipside- and especially Phil- to anyone looking to a reasonable- exceptional service DJ.
