Sherry and her accomplished staff are the VERY BEST!! I've gone to her for many years & have always been extremely happy with her skill & expertise. As for the 1 disgruntled reviewer, sorry, but your attitude may have been the problem. read more

If I could give less than one star, I would! First of all, she is RUDE when you come in see her. My niece and I brought in her prom dress to have the straps altered and asked if Sherry could replace the plunging mesh with a matching fabric if we went and bought fabric and brought it back to her. SHERRY said she could take the sequins from the sections of straps being removed and add them to the mesh since she didn't think we could find a matching fabric. To be clear, this was HER suggestion. We never thought that would have been an option. The dress was just picked up and she literally took the cut pieces of fabric and glued it to the mesh! It looks like a kindergartner's construction paper project! Then she had the audacity to say that is what we asked for! Do NOT GO TO THIS WOMAN! SHE IS A FRAUD and will destroy your dress! Prom dresses aren't cheap and we trusted what she said! Don't make our mistake! read more

Sherry and her crew did a fantastic job of taking an old pair of seersucker suit pants and removing the pleats, making the legs slimmer and removing the cuffs. Now I have a new updated seersucker suit, all thanks to Sherry. read more

Just picked up my wedding dress from image maker sherry's alterations. Wow! Sherry really is amazing. I will be completely honest and say I knew going in how picky I was going to be. She did not seem bugged at all by my perfectionism with the fit. She catered to all my bridal needs. She did not make me feel like a bridezilla even when I felt like I was. The fit of the dress was the most important part of the dress to me and even though my dress wasnt easy to work with, sherry made it happen! Thanks sherry! read more

We needed patches sewn on a uniform with very short notice. Sherry and company accommodated our rush request and did an excellent job!

I took my wedding dress to be altered and Sherry fixed it fast and accurately. I was happy with my experience as she was a lifesaver days before my wedding. read more

Let me just say the owner is so rude, they are extremely extremely over priced. She Tells you a price and when you pick up it's a 20.00 higher price. She keeps her dog at the shop and my daughter has asthma. When we picked up the dress we had to have it dry cleaned due to dog hair and her having severe allergies to dogs. Do not have your clothes altered here! She is a rip-off and terribly rude on top of that! read more

I am so thoroughly happy with Sherry's alterations service and prices. There's many many people who do alterations such as shortening pants lengths or taking up waist but this business lady is a true artist at her craft and always on time to complete my garments. I can see why some of the top clothiers recommends her when you have need for difficult repair and expensive garments to work with. Thank you sherry for my tux you altered it fit perfect and made look better than I really am!! read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DRESS HERE!!! I took my wedding dress here to be altered since it was recommended by the place where I bought the dress. The entire experience ended up being a nightmare, and I almost did not have a dress to wear for my wedding. For starters she made the dress so small that when I took a deep breathe the clasp broke open. Then the bustle not only was not sewn through all layers of the dress on one side, but most of the ribbons were so frayed they could not even be tied. I had custom straps put on the dress that were beaded, and when we picked the dress up it looked like someone had accidentally cut the straps too short, and then still used them so the beads just were not there anymore. I had a beaded applique band on my dress that she did not bother to completely sew back on after working on my dress, and there was an opening in the seam that I could put 2 of my fingers through! This being the condition of my dress the THIRD time she was suppose to be "fixing" the problems, and my wedding only 3 days away I decided to call the place where I had bought the dress and tell them what was happening. The owner opened her shop after hours and had me come in immediately, and had another seamstress meet us at the bridal shop. The dress was in such bad condition the new seamstress said she was going to have to deconstruct the dress to figure out what Sherry had done. The shop owner also had to give the new seamstress new beaded straps for my dress since the ones on the dress were beyond repair. She also had to pull beads off her stock dress in order to repair my dress that Sherry had ruined AND on top of it all the dress was dirty when I got it back and the dress shop owner had to clean it! Sherry's consolation for RUINING my wedding dress the week of my wedding was a $200 refund....I paid her $600 for the alterations. read more

I needed alterations for a bridesmaid dress. We did not discuss the price of the alterations prior to work being done, which is my mistake. I had the dress shortened, the inside slip let out and the top of the dress taken in. First of all the alterations came to $100! I could not believe it! The dress itself was only $120. I do not see how it is justified to charge so much. Second of all, the dress was still too long! I kept tripping on the dress and had to end up using safety pins to shorten the dress so I wouldn't trip on it and mind you I am 7 months pregnant so this was a safety hazard. The owner was nice enough, but I do not feel like the work done was worth the $100 I was charged. After discussing my experience with friends and family they all have agreed and told me I should have gone elsewhere, which I will do in the future. Very disappointed customer. read more

I've been going to this locally owned business for close to 10 years. I've recommend this business to several people within Louisville. Her tailoring is exceptional. Recently however, I dropped off a designer dress needed for a wedding I was apart of. Went to pick up dress, dress could not be located. This lead to dress not being worn in wedding. Owner of business indicated to just "purchase something else" and did not offer an alternative plan as to how she may assist in locating the dress, or simply reimbursing me for value of garment. No offering of a plan to move forward, no discussion of potential reimbursement and most of all - no apology! Said dress was 'returned' 3 weeks later and owner still INSISTED I pay for alterations. Again, no apology for what occurred and the inconvenience caused. This woman is unprofessional and her customer service is deplorable. After consulting several local boutiques about this issue and what's occurred to me personally, this woman's tailoring business has been removed from all recommendation lists. So unfortunate such talent has to be lost with an individual who doesn't uphold consistent customer service. read more
