To start off: YES that have WIFI YES they accept Credit Cards YES they allow walk-in's (but reservations highly suggested. I stumbled into I'M Onsen Spa on a Sunday afternoon, hoping to unwind with a reasonably priced massage and a dip in their Onsen. But of course, the universe had other plans. They were fully booked. So, after a few raised eyebrows and some typical Manila hustle, I was left with a couple of choices: 2-hour access to the Onsen, gym, or pool for 1,500 PHP, or a whole damn day of everything for 4,000 PHP. Decisions, decisions. Now, let's be clear: For a city like Manila, this place is a godsend. I'm giving it 3 stars because, let's face it, Manila has a long way to go in the spa game. But in the context of this chaotic, buzzing city, I'd still give it 5 stars. The staff is friendly, the place is clean, and it does what it promises: relaxation in the heart of the madness. Here's the kicker: the Onsen and spa are tucked into a little corner on the second floor. It's essentially open doors, and that's where things get a little... Manila. I lasted about 45 seconds before I had to throw a bucket of mineral water over my head-- and please don't throw water over those electric heaters. Not coal. It's not the real deal. And then there's the steam sauna. Imagine stepping into a boiling can of Vicks VapoRub. It's pungent. It's almost suffocating. But I'll be honest, it did wonders for my sinuses. If you're looking to clear your head or singe the hairs from your nose, it's the perfect torture. Now, a word of warning: If you're used to a traditional Onsen experience, you might feel like you've wandered into a budget version of the real thing. There are no fancy lotions, no high-end shaving kits, none of the usual spa perks. This place is no-frills. So, if you're expecting luxury or authenticity, bring your own stuff, because you won't find it here. In the end, if you've been to a real Onsen, this place might leave you disappointed. Website is really exciting and nice looking. Me and my sister went to get 90 minutes massage and 60 minute gold facial and I got add on of hot oil. First thing you will noticed is the facility is run down. Inside shower do not have hooks to hang your towel, then other shower heads do not work! Onsen stink and the water makes us itchy. You get charged extra for using new towel. Massage is way over priced for the quality! Therapist is not what i expected. Bed sheets and towels to cover your body are itchy, My massage was not 90 minutes as she did my hot oil while doing the massage and the oil that she put has a horrible smell like an engine oil that has super stinky smell! Facial products are like fr I don't know probably dollar store since it smells so bad as well. Total of that service is not worth it! Staff are all courteous and respectful except the service, products and price is not what you ll expect! 2 massage for 90 minutes, 2 gold facial for 30 minutes and 1 hot oil for 30 minutes for a total of 10,500 pesos! This used to be a better massage and spa however management has changed the routine. Instead of having the Japanese robe put on first at the spa area and your street clothes in the locker, now you have to put the robe after you've put your street clothes back on at the massage floor area. I didn't have time for a treatment, but since I was staying at the hotel I decided to make use of the facilities. The spa is located on multiple floors, depending on what you are having done. Women and men are separated. It was like 10 pm but you can use the sauna, hot tub, etc until 2am. They give you a towel and a locker key. Towel is for the steam room or sauna but you have to bare it all to use the hot tub. They give you a kimono as well if you're having an actual treatment. They provide basic amenities but nothing too fancy. I was impressed by the cleanliness/upkeep of the facility and also that someone is there if you need anything, and also to enforce the rules. read more

We had reservations at another local spa in Makati but that fell through so at the 11th hour (5PM) on a Tuesday evening, IM ONSEN was able to accommodate me and my husband for an 8PM service. The experience was so much better than expected and likely 100% better than the place we planned to go originally. Based on a Japanese spa experience, you get a yukuta and everything. Just make sure to read instructions and get to your appointment at least 30 minutes early so you can change, enjoy the bath, the relaxation room, and calm your blood pressure before your treatments. Perks include a free buffet (WHAA!) and opportunity to use the pool facilities. We got a Korean foot scrub (very nice introduction to the experience) in the relaxation room- which luckily we were the only guests in there. It was pretty good and thorough. My only thoughts are that because it was in a "public place" I imagine when the spa is busy, it can be a little disruptive. Also the room lights were a little bright... but it was nice to be able to sip tea while enjoying a good foot rub. Our 90 minute mixed massage was AMAZING! They don't kneel on you and crack your bones like this in the States. She made the effort to get every knot out and literally massaged every possible muscle. I felt so loose and relaxed for the next few days after! I would've liked to enjoy the facilities more but we had a date to meet my cousin at Antidote. The spa is open until 2AM though so you can make this spa yours at any time of the day! A couple of other notes - The relaxation room is next to the pool so you can hear the noise/events from the outside which could be a little disruptive. Also, the spa encompasses 4 floors on one side of the building so you have to take an elevator between your movements. It can get a little complicated but not un-navigatable. You can totally make a day out of the IM hotel without actually being a guest. Start with the free buffet, enjoy the heated jacuzzi/bath/steam room, get your treatments, hang out by the pool, ready yourself in the locker room, and end the experience with their 20% off coupons on the top floor lounge, Antidote. For a spa and treatment in the States, it would've been at least $4-500. I paid about $120 for the both of us. So worth it and I'd recommend this place to all my friends and family! read more

The best way to treat ourselves on vacation. We were staying at another hotel, but this hotel seemed to have the best spa/massage packages and at great price points. We booked online, paid ahead to reserve our spots, and got there about an hour and a half prior to our appointment. Once we got checked in, we headed up to the locker room floor/pool area. Since we weren't staying at this hotel, we didn't have access to the pool outside, but it looked awesome! You could see out into the city. I wish we could add that on somehow and really make a whole day (and probably night) out of our visit. Anyway, went our separate ways into the gender specific locker rooms and made a plan to meet up at a certain time so that we could go upstairs into the lounge. They give you a wristband that locks your locker and a robe to change into. From then on you have the time to spend in the Onsen pool (only allowed prior to your appointments), the steam room, and sauna. The Onsen pool is a heated mineral pool in a dimmed room and you have to get butt naked to get in. Luckily I was there alone (Monday afternoon) so I was able to spread out and de-stress for a while. About 15-20 mins prior to our appointment we headed upstairs to the lounge to enjoy their super tasty ginger hot tea and cold tamarind drink. One gripe I had about this place is their noisy creaking wood floors! It really ruins the serenity of the lounge when you can hear every step a person makes from the other side of the room...or at least make the tea cups not so itty bitty that people have to constantly get up for refills (aka me -that is me making all the creaking noises, the tea is that good!) They will call you by name when your appointment is up. Really pay attention to the name they say because another couple went instead of us and it took them a while to figure out (tip: maybe hand out those restaurant pagers?). We got the Dreamtime Recovery package (3 hrs) and upgraded to a private room for a minimal fee. The service included a body massage, scalp massage, and face/eye massage. When you check in they give you a chart so you can circle the parts you want them to concentrate on. They started out our session by putting oil on the scalp and focused on the body massage majority of the time. The scalp and face/eye part wasn't long but it was relaxing. I wish they did the scalp a little more though. Afterwards it was back to the locker rooms to shower and get dressed (or hop in the steam room/sauna if you like). They have some soap in the showers but I would recommend at least bringing your own conditioner. ALSO keep in mind this place is covered, but it is technically outdoors so do not let your guard down when it comes to mosquito repellant! We opted for the buffet afterwards and for 400 PHP it was worth it. Definitely not as good as everyone claims, but it was decent warm food and an easy way to refuel and re-energize from the last 4 or so hours. After that we had plans to check out their rooftop bar but it was closed for construction and it was raining outside. They also have food options here and in the downstairs bar if you prefer not to have the buffet. Overall it was well worth our money, we basically spent an entire day and night here for less than $100 USD. Access to the outside pool would've been icing on the cake, maybe they'll consider that in the future? read more

Wowowowww. My visit to this spa was the most luxurious day I think I've ever had lol. Everything was amazing, from the atmosphere to the employees to the services!! We started with tea and relaxing in the first room. Then moved on to the steam room and Onsen jacuzzis. We ended with an hour massage, which was sooo good. The entire space was very clean with nice employees directing you where you should go next. I think some packages include the buffet. The food was delicious and service there was great too. The spa is right next to the pool, so when you first walk in, it can be loud. The glass bottom pool was refreshing and I spent some time in the bird cage looking lounge chairs; those are comfortable. Don't go here. Don't waste your money. Please listen to me. Although our massage and body scrub was great, everything else sucked. My fiancé and I went here for the "Swept away" package with food (13k) Appointment was at 7, of course they didn't start til 740 pm. We waited in our private room, til I finally got up and HAD to ask someone at 715pm where is our masseuse was. Person I asked looked confused and surprised like she didn't even know we were there or they didn't even know what package we had. Waited til 730 pm, went outside to ask AGAIN, where our masseuses was. Finally, someone came and said that we will doing the body scrub first, I was already like whatever, just start something/ anything at least MY GOD. Moved us to another room which was cold as ducckk. I was trying so hard not to lose my shit. Our package included a 3 course meal, where I thought we were going to eat there after our massage, you know for the whole "experience" BUT NOOO, during our massage, they told us that there's a cut off for dinner so we could only get it as "take out"?!?, like wtfff. Tell us before that there is a cut off , not when the cut off has already occurred!! Common sense!! And get this, we had to pay an extra P150 for each meal because it was take out. Seriously?!?! Wtffff. And we asked them if it was okay to eat at the Anecdote bar (a whole different story) at the rooftop (same hotel) and they said "yes of course!"... hmmm guess what? Yeah, so we had to order over priced cold fries and other over priced cubed pieces of burger steak (wagyu??). As I said before, the massage and body scrub was great for my fiancé and I and I still tipped but I wrote down "only for the masseuse and no one else". Haysss. I did the same thing and googled best spa in Manila and this was the first thing that popped up and "looked" so nice on their FB page but dudeee, do not be fooled, please. We saw this featured on a local TV show and we were so enticed to come and try. Love this place. We availed of the 2 1/2 hour spa service that included a massage and a body scrub. Massage was one of the best, if not the best I've had. They use tea oil that has a very light feel. For body scrub, they also use tea oil AND ground barako coffee! Came out with very smooth skin and relaxing scent. Suggest timing your spa service so that once you're done, you can add buffet which is from 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm. There is not a lot in the variety compared to others, but their food is good and sushi very fresh. It's only an additional php 400 on top of the cost for the spa treatment. My only gripe is I could not find a way to get comfortable on the body scrub table. Be aware this place is located on a very busy street and may be tough to park if you're driving. We could not get a taxi and it took about 45 minutes to finally catch a ride from Grab. read more

One of the nicest spa experience in Philippines, we got deal so even better by booking our hotel room directly with the I'M hotel, I would highly recommend to come 30 mins or so earlier then your booked appointment so you can enjoy the ambience and familiar to use the facilities after wards and make sure you keep some time aside, we did it a day before we flight back home, so enjoyed the spa then facilities followed by nice sleep before we checked in for our 30 hours journey home read more
