I LOVE ILLY coffee ! I wish they had an illy cafe literally everywhere ! I first tried illy in Paris about two years ago and they have the best Italian coffee! So I was super excited when I found out the had a shop in palazzo /venetian hotel in Las Vegas where we are staying ! I love the cappuccino it's the only thing I get ( just add some sugar and it's perfect !) I did try the vanilla cafe latte but I preferred the cappuccino over it . We also tried the avocado toast ( you can add a hard boiled egg for $2.50 extra) . I really enjoyed the avocado toast with arugula they topped it with Parmesan and everything seasoning and a little lemon , and it was perfect ! Highly recommend. My only thing was the toast was a little too cooked for my liking . I also ordered the egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant which is a large croissant and was delicious . again the croissant was a little too cooked for my liking but still very good ! Highly recommend as well . Overall 5/5 for the coffee and affordable prices ( esp for Vegas ) , 4/5 for the food , staff was nice, but 3/5 for atmosphere since it's mostly grab and go / self serve , Limited seating , and they use buzzers when food is ready and silverware /plates are mostly plastic . I would have loved a more sit down and get service option. But it's great for a quick breakfast / grab and go before going out into the strip /shopping. read more

Well this is sad.... Every time I'm in Vegas; I make it a point to come to this cafe.... This time sheer disappointment Baristas was passively rude when I asked for a cup for "here" not to-go. I ordered avocado toast Bread stale and thin Olive oil drizzled rancid.... We walked the illy Cafe often since it's in the between the Palazzo and Venetian towers. The Gelatos and Sorbet options are plentiful. The lines always seem very long because people crave sweets into the later hours of Vegas nights. The location can definitely get crowded and impede the foot traffic. They do have tables indoors too but it's a challenge to find seating. We've visited a few times. The service is fine and try their best to get customers served. However, the prices are steep. We ordered 2 single scoop items and it was almost $16-17 and I think credit card has a service charge. The single scoop cups are tiny and just don't seem worth it. I loved the selection, but the scoop size didn't match up for me. I understand The Vegas Strip prices are inflated, but after that recent visit I rather do more research to find some other desserts to satisfy our cravings. read more

My daughter and I had just come from enjoying the Arte Museum and wanted dessert, so we went across to the Cosmopolitan to see what was there. We were headed to another dessert place but illy Cafe was right at the entrance there, so we stopped to look at what they had. All of the desserts looked great! The wait for the woman on the gelato side to approach the counter we were standing at was the issue. There were at least 3 people working behind the counter. They made eye contact but seemed preoccupied with invisible work. We decided to walk away to see other options around. My daughter wanted the illy gelato more than the other place, so we went back. This time there was a family in line and one guy didn't hesitate to help them so I figured maybe he would help us too. He did. My daughter got 3 scoops and I got the caramel cheesecake. When he gave us our desserts he told us the lady (who ignored us) would ring us up. I asked her what coffee drink would pair well with my cheesecake. She said, "I can't change it." which made no sense so I figured she didn't understand what was asking. I didn't want to try to ask again so I just ordered the rose latte. My daughter got an iced matcha. She rang us up and gladly swung that monitor around for me add a tip and sign my name. After being ignored and she made no effort to understand my question about drink suggestions, I didn't want to leave a tip but I did. The cheesecake was good. The drink was ok. We drop by to get a quick snack and coffee in the afternoon, the place was fairly crowded and the staffs were very busy serving customers and didn't have time to keep the cafe clean so there are leftover plates and cups on empty tables, not a good scene. Alright, is it 2 stars, maybe not but I don't feel right giving it 3. To pay that much and wait that long for a below mediocre egg sandwich is such a let down. I was wondering if they were squeezing the eggs out of the chicken in the kitchen. I found much better breakfast options for the rest of my trip. This place is a tourist trap and a hard pass for me. Just want a quick bite and was next to illy. So decided to get a breakfast sandwich. The ice cream line is long and needed to wait in that line to get to the cafe. After lunch we wanted to try some gelato and with all the flavors on display we stopped here. Here is a little different than other gelato shops and they don't give sample tastings. Here you wait in line, then you order and pay. Then with your "Paid" receipt you wait in the gelato line and get your gelato and if there is room inside you seat yourself. I tried a pistachio gelato. It was creamy and was served at the right temperature. It had a good amount of pistachios in it but the base flavor was hard to identify and was strange to me and my husband. My husband had that Italian flavor stracciatella (chocolate shred). He said it was ok. When we were done we cleaned up our table. Maybe some flavors are better than others here? read more

OK, big disclaimer here: I had one thing at this cafe. I should also say that, ordinarily, Illy's coffee is not my favorite, but it was perfect for this dish. For background, my group of four had just attended the Atomic Saloon Show nearby (highly recommended for some good, bawdy, dirty fun, BTW), and saw this place, immediately spurring the idea for a late night sweet treat. Looking over their gelato selection, I was intrigued by something I'd never seen, stracciatella. It's basically "plain" milk gelato with crunchy chocolate bits, but it looked delicious. Then, I noticed the espresso machine behind the bar, and a bulb went on: an affogato stracciatella! Sounds delightfully Italian, and combines two of my favorite things, espresso and gelato. I ordered with just those two words, the server didn't bat an eye and started making it. When I dug in - wow. I just can't even describe it. I'll confess, it wasn't really pretty, so no photo, but wow. Creamy, cold, with an intense espresso flavor, but with a sweet punch from the gelato, and some little crisp bits, also from the gelato, it was simply incredible. The lady scoping the gelato was rude! I got 2 scoops and they literally scooped the top portions that were all melted. Gelato is way too sweet (more than any other gelato shop I've been to). $8.95 for 2 scoops which is decent but they lost me at the 4% credit card fee. Don't ever go!
