I am extremely disappointed with my experience with "NiqueInkks" of Illuminated Ink Studio and feel obligated to warn others.
I received partial tattoo service on December 23rd, with the understanding that my tattoo would be finished the following Sunday after Christmas. From the very beginning, I made it clear that I was only in Houston for a limited time for the holidays and that I am a San Diego State University student who would be returning to San Diego. She was fully aware of my schedule and time constraints from our first appointment.
Despite this, my follow-up appointment was repeatedly pushed back, rescheduled, or left up in the air. What made this experience especially unprofessional was the consistent lack of communication. After providing partial service, she began ignoring my messages, responding days later (if at all), and making promises she ultimately could not keep. The screenshots attached to this review clearly show the back-and-forth, the multiple date changes, and the unanswered messages.
I rearranged my schedule multiple times to accommodate her availability, only to be told at the last minute that she wasn't available -- even though she knew exactly when I would be leaving Houston. At no point was there accountability or urgency, despite the fact that I was left with a half-finished tattoo.
This situation caused unnecessary stress and left me in a position where I had to consider traveling back home with unfinished permanent work on my body, which is completely unacceptable. Tattoos are not a small commitment, and professionalism and communication are non-negotiable in this industry.
Unfortunately, based on my experience, I do not recommend getting work done by NiqueInks or at this establishment. Being ignored after partial service and left with an incomplete tattoo shows a serious lack of professionalism and respect for clients' time and trust.
I strongly advise others to proceed with caution. read more
