This is SO FUN! PARADISE at Door Step! My friend owns kayaks…read moreat cottage in Muskoka so I have done kayaking before at best cottage country in the world. But this Kayaking experience at Harborfront just blew it out of water! First of all, it's just very affordable. Single person kayak is $30 and douple seated one is $40. NO TAX! Credit care is required though to be on hold in case kayk go missing etc. And it's just convenient to get to rather than going to cottage. Secondly, the lake area at Harborfront is wide open. it's just huge wide open space with shore of sky scrapers and CN Tower. Sptacular view with blue sky. tcountry usually the lake isnt as wide or the visual surrounding just trees or cottages. You get to see huge air planes swoosh above in front of you as they land on Porter Airport. U will be equiped with life jacket n whisle, if anything just blow 3 times, the staff would come rescue. The staff is extremely patient and friendly. They understand you can be doing it first time and they help you to put on and adjust equipment. Does unnerving quite a bit! TRUST me if you feel nervous trying it out, all the stress would melt away as soon as u float in water. Only excitement to fallow. If you are going on a date, pick the two seater one instead of two single one. So u get to chat and figure out if you two work well together to paddle. Make sure wear SUNglasses! It does get bright on the late :)

After reaching out to them through e-mail, I was told my request for info about lessons was forwarded to a representative from WSUP, a partner company supposedly based somewhere on Toronto Island. Well, I did not hear back after one week so went looking elsewhere. See my 5 star review for Toronto Island SUP. I think the people at Paddleboard Addict need to update their website so that people are not wasting their time.

I had searched initially on Yelp but options came up short (following this review that will no longer be an issue). I connected with business owner Paul and chatted about prices, location, times and dates (the usual). Paul was very laid back and yet totally professional letting me know that he was flexible and totally willing to accommodate us on our day of choice. Making himself readily available by phone or email we confirmed a date and time and only needed to pay for one person in advance to secure the time slot, which I did via e-mail money transfer (oh the joys and conveniences of internet). When the day came, admittedly we were a touch (45 minutes) tardy, however we made sure to let Paul know we'd be running behind. When we finally arrived Paul was waiting for us happy to have us there. We signed some waivers and paid the rest of our balance owing and walked towards the close by community of floating houses (apparently something no longer allowed to be built in Ontario). Paul was a gracious host and professional guide, teaching us the basics of SUP (Stand-up Paddleboard) in minutes and getting us on our way quick. He took us around the marina and into the open water area teaching us about the ecosystem around us, the clarity of the water, and various wildlife present (didn't get to see the Karp or Muskeye he bragged about - probably a good thing). The entire experience was informative, fun, great exercise and a real joy all the way around! We were also fortunate enough that there weren't other bookings that day so Paul ended up taking us out for another 20-30 minutes over the hour we paid for! We all agreed that this was a great experience and would DEFINITELY come back to try! I HIGHLY recommend you give this place a try or at the very least try your hand at SUP! PS - Lake Ontario is ICE COLD - I didn't fall in BUT daaayyummmmm that ISH is C-O-L-D!

I wasn't much more tired than my E-Bike tours of Rome, Florence, Lisbon, Madrid, and Park City. Go for it! They're a small business and working hard for you.

She provided everyone with multiple water bottles and made sure to take frequent breaks at sites of interest. Her instructions were easy to follow with regards to bike safety and she was able to keep our group of 6 (4 in our team plus another pair) together throughout the entire tour with no issues. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone, regardless of their experience level as it can likely accommodate any rider with even just a basic knowledge and familiarity. The tour itself was relaxing, beautiful, and educational. We frequently stopped for historical and contemporary updates on the places we visited while traversing the city and islands. The fact that there are effectively no cars on the island itself really enhanced the experience and made it feel like being out for a serene Sunday bike ride with the family. We really appreciated that at each stop she already had a nice spot picked out to take group photos and helped position and arrange us for optimal configuration and angles. This was such a wonderful way to explore the Toronto Islands, I highly recommend this tour and our guide Mariana!

They have a large selection of both kayaks, one person and two person sizes as well as stand up paddle boards (SUP). And of course there is Cherry Beach, Toronto's hidden gem of a beach that many don't even know is there. We had so much fun this summer in the area on bicycles, exploring the new park nearby and ending up both times at Cherry St BBQ, yummmmmmmm. So with all that positivity in the area, how can you go wrong? Well, we did both times we wanted to go, and for some reason it didn't work out. The second time it was closed for the season, even though the weather was holding out I supposed they had to draw a line. You could even bring your own craft and launch it at the beach right there and bring along friends that need to rent theirs so there is plenty of flexibility. Bring along the BBQ and have a party on the lawns nearby too. There is plenty of parking so you can bring anything by car and have good access to the beach. Highly recommended!!

If I could give this place a worse review than 1 STAR trust me I would…read more I had bought a Groupon for this place for a hour lesson for Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Board. The Groupon special could be bought for up to 3 people so this is the option I chose as my friends wanted to try this. Well, that's about as far as I got with this place. The instructions were to email the business for reservations, which I did. I got back a reply with a schedule of dates that were available (they have 3 locations - Toronto, Mississauga and Oakville). I was also advised that I would need to pay the taxes before they could enter my reservation. I emailed back with a copy of the Groupon fine print which clearly indicated that tax was already included in the price I paid so I didn't need to pay it again via their site. Never heard back from them for a few days. In the meantime I confirmed with my friends a date that worked and emailed them again to indicate what date we wanted and the voucher number. When they finally decided to email me back they indicated that date/time was gone and perhaps I should contact Groupon for a refund. WTH? The Groupon doesn't expire until August 13th and the date we had chosen was July 19th......so why not offer alternative dates? Well let me tell you why....they obviously had no clue what they were entering into with Groupon and didn't realize the tax was already included (or that I read the fine print and caught it, maybe others didn't) so the deal they made was waaaay too good and they would lose money out on in, so don't bother booking any reservations and hopefully Groupon won't refund your money. Well luckily Groupon's customer service is fabulous! It is light years ahead of this business's shitty SHITTY customer service. I got my refund and will make it my life's mission to deter anyone from going to this place.

I started as a REC paddler and quickly grew the passion thanks to Derek, whose expertise and knowledge is incredible. He spent time with me reviewing basics and guiding towards RACING. On the OFF season (winter) I signed up for their indoor training on SUP Ergometers and wow what a difference. Derek spends the time to carefully correct your moves, creating a much more efficient paddle technic. I would recommend this place to ANYONE who is interested to grow or even discover paddleboarding: PSP has the equipment and the expertise you want to become successful!
