Decided to stop by after reading a bunch of really good reviews in Yelp, so glad we trusted it because everything was amazing. This is a small strip mall restaurant, walked in at 5 and the place was empty, however the staff was amazing, we had questions due to dietary restrictions and our waitress was very gracious and of she didn't have an answer she went back to the kitchen to check. She recommended the rice balls and they were so good, really hot inside and not hard at all, filled with lots of mozzarella and a delicious vodka sauce and dollop of ricotta. The baked cod special was super tasty and came with some mussels on the side, bread basket was perfect and bread was super nice and warm. Fettuccini was delicious and creamy but not fatty or greasy. We had a wonderful dinner experience and will definitely recommend this restaurant to another looking for good food and great service.

Really enjoyed their desserts! Service was good. Restaurant itself is small and unassuming but the food was pretty good.

Went here on a whim tonight and was pleasantly impressed. Service was outstanding and the food was absolutely delicious. Saving them for future nights out. Waitress was very nice and attentive. This is a plus since we're vegetarian.

The chef whipped up something special just for myself, since I am allergic to dairy. I truly appreciated it. Compliments fully to the chef &the wonderful staff here! Delicious & fresh!

I made a reservation at Il Trio simply based on the yelp reviews. We had a very large party, 12 girls from a softball team and 4 adults. It couldn't have been a better place to land. The service was warm, friendly and attentive. They never seemed annoyed at our boisterous crew, in fact, just the opposite. We felt so welcome. The chef even gave the table complimentary arancini appetizers. The girls were thrilled! It was delicious and probably something most of them have never eaten before. And let me just say, the food was incredible and so much of it! You will not go away hungry from Il Trio, that is for sure! This felt like an old school Italian restaurant, like eating in Nana's kitchen. Everyone left full and happy. If I were ever back in the area, I would certainly go again. Thank you such a great experience for our girls from upstate NY.

It's beautifully pillowy with a crisp undercarriage. It's perfectly oily without being greasy. It's (IMO) too saucy which tends to make it a little sloppy but it's a balanced sauce of sweet and tart with just the right amount of cheese. Their regular pie is a benchmark pie for Long Island pizza. It's just right. No notes. The chicken parm and meatball parm heroes are also benchmark sandwiches. I judge all heroes against theirs. Personally, I prefer the chicken parm, but it's a 1A/1B situation. There's no wrong choice. My only complaint would be that I wish they were a little bit larger.

It means buyer beware. But when it comes to dishes, you might have noticed there is no pasta with my Chicken Parm. That's because the Chicken Parm is $32 freaking dollars if you order it with pasta. The owner and staff seem super friendly, but I have never in my life seen this price for Chicken Parm and pasta. I told the owner that and he said it's $16 and change for the Chicken Parm and $15 and change for the pasta. If you don't know, after alcohol, an Italian restaurant's biggest profit margin is pasta. For this restaurant, it might be number one. Pasta is incredibly cheap to make so the markup here is beyond insane. The price for pasta is so high that they almost definitely miss the ideal price point. In other words, this price will drive down orders and keep customers away. At a lower price point, it will drive more groups of people spending more money. Aside from that, the food is excellent and I still recommend this place. It really is great food. Just don't order pasta.

Service is friendly and the price structure is a little above average pizza slice pricing elsewhere. I'd suggest taking on the go or weather permitting seat outside as the in dining area is extremely small and confining plus you are a stones throw away from both the front door and counter area. There is a dining area with table service in the rear of the restaurant that provides a more conducive experience for those choosing that dining option. Located near the AMC Theater it does get busy with movie goers ( I went on a Saturday) but there is plenty of parking. Overall great tasting pizza at reasonable prices.

But restaurant leaves a lot desired. Food was pretty bad for the price, overly salty and tasted like it came premade. Service was fine, on par, and no complaints. Waiter was a little pushy but nothing over the top. Ambiance was fine too but definitely feel crammed inside. Recently, I decided to give it another shot on two separate times, and some of their specialty pies: the vodka pizza with a garlic knot crust and the trio pizza (pesto, marinara, and vodka). I'll start with the positives--service was friendly and welcoming, which definitely made the experience more pleasant. And to be fair, the flavors across the pies were actually pretty good. The sauces complemented each other well. That said, the biggest issue--was the dough. It was noticeably undercooked which made the slices a bit doughy and hard to enjoy. On top of that, the pizza was quite greasy, which didn't help the overall texture. The undercooked dough stood out enough that it took away from what could have been a really solid pie. Another small note: the dining area looked like it could've used a quick sweep. Not a huge deal, but something that affects the overall impression when you walk in. I wouldn't completely write this place off, because the flavors are there and the staff is friendly. If I give it another try, I'd probably stick with a regular pie or maybe a Sicilian and specifically ask for it to be cooked well done. I think that could make a big difference.

I called ahead for pickup for a quick stop on the way home. Our food was steaming hot and ready within a minute of arriving. Little Vinny's is that a perfect neighborhood pizza joint. A simple, small pizza counter to order at, maybe a dozen tables for dine in, and most important PSA, it's cash only. It's the kind of place you instantly know locals have loved for generations. Oh, and if you're looking for a super late night bite to eat, they are open until 2AM! The pizza is out of this world, especially if you try their cold cheese slice. Yes, you read that right. This is pizza with a handful of cold, shredded mozzarella cheese tossed on top of a classic hot cheese slice right before serving. It's a Long Island rite of passage. But the real highlight for me is the chicken parm hero. It's absolutely packed with crispy chicken cutlet, plenty of sauce, and layers of melty cheese, all wrapped up in that perfect Italian bread. My dad and I shared one, and both agreed it's hard to beat. Little Vinny's may not be fancy, but they absolutely nail what they're doing. If you love classic New York pizzerias, or just miss food that feels like home, this is the spot. Don't sleep on the cold cheese slice or the chicken parm hero. I'll be dreaming of both until my next trip!
