This place is worth every five star review it has earned. It's a beautiful space, well ventilated. Their humidor is very well curated- you can surely find something you like (some Ashton- including ESG, Rocky Patel, CAO, OpusX and many, MANY more). In addition they have fine gifts for men- leather goods, shaving brushes, pens, cuff links etc. Outfitted in dark leather but with great lighting, a very small but adequately stocked bar (Balvenie, Macallan, Crown, Hennessy, Titos, 1800, Don Julio 1942, etc at fair prices) and absolutely fantastic customer service. They know their business and aren't pretentious about it. A solid 5 stars. read more

I travel a lot for work and always try to visit different cigar bars. I highly recommend Elephant's. Bartender is knowledgeable and attentive to lounge guests. I always enjoy getting the chance to meet the owner also. High ceilings and air filtration allows you to enjoy your cigar without smoking everyone else's. Selection is diverse also. It is nice to know I have a place to go unwind after a long day of working. Thank you to the bartender, owner, and the locals in there for chatting with me and making me feel like a regular. read more

I am a cigar nut. I've travelled the world and I find cigars everywhere I go. This shop is one of the greats. It is a gentlemen's store. It has every kind of little trinket you can imagine. And everything in there can be engraved on the spot. I've only been to one other store that was as nice and it was in Paris France. The staff appreciated the business and were very respectable. It had one of the most extensive rare cigar collections I've ever seen. I went to Davidoff in Sweden and it didn't have as many cigars as this guy. This is my first trip to the Mission/McAllen Texas area. I did my usual area cigar shop investigation and found this excellent shop less than 5 minutes from my hotel. Il Regalo Preferito was a fantastic find and I ended up hanging out there about half of the nights I was in the area. They carry a good selection of premium hand rolled cigars that are well kept in the large walk in humidor. They also had several half price cigar deals on some very nice cigars and of course I was forced to indulge! In addition to the cigars, they also serve alcohol which is a major plus. It's nice to not have to BYOB and still be able to enjoy a beverage with my cigar. Another major plus is that the smoking lounge has really high (I'm talking 20ft) ceilings so the smoke rises and is ventilated very well. Although you don't ever walk out of a cigar lounge totally fresh, you don't walk out of this one wreaking of smoke either. This is probably the most well ventilated shop I've been in. All in all, this is one of the best cigar shops/lounges I've encountered during my travels and I'd recommend it to anyone! If you're in the Mission area, try it out. You won't be disappointed! This is a very clean, classy, and well run shop. The staff was also VERY helpful and attentive. read more
